When did the Battlefield 6 Open Beta run?
EA’s July 31, 2025 announcement scheduled preload availability for August 4 at 15:00 UTC. Early access opened August 7 at 08:00 UTC. The public weekends ran August 9–10 and August 14–17, with each published opening and closing time set to 08:00 UTC. These dates are historical, not upcoming signup instructions. The Battlefield Team’s August 21, 2025 Open Beta debrief thanked players for joining the beta weekends and described EA as approaching the game’s October 10 launch.
Who could access the beta, and was a code required?
Public weekends
EA described both public weekends as “No code needed, available to anyone.” Anyone could join during those scheduled periods on a supported platform; no early-access key was required.

Early access
People who had signed up for Battlefield Labs before July 31, 2025, did not need a code. EA said they should sign in with the EA Account they had used for Labs. EA also listed select Twitch reveal-stream viewing as another early-access route. These opportunities applied to the August 2025 beta, not a current beta.
Redeeming an early-access key
If you received an Early Access key, EA’s instructions were to sign into your EA Account, redeem the code, and link the platform account. EA Help clarified that a “Base game required” message during redemption referred to downloading the beta client, not to owning the full game. EA Help’s beta access instructions

Which platforms were supported?
EA announced the beta for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. PC players could use Steam, Epic Games Store, or the EA app. EA instructed players to link their EA Account with their platform account before starting. The announcement lists platforms and account setup.

What did EA report after the beta?
In its August 21, 2025 debrief, the Battlefield Team reported more than 600,000 hours streamed and more than 30 million hours watched during the 2025 beta. An infographic on the same page reported 420 million matches, 92 million hours, 4.9 billion enemies killed, and 30.9 million revives.
