That is the beta’s recorded Steam peak—not a count of everyone playing across PC launchers and consoles.
How many people played the Battlefield 6 beta at once?
SteamDB recorded an all-time peak of 521,079 concurrent players for the Battlefield 6 Open Beta on 9 August 2025. The peak came during the first public beta weekend. “Concurrent” means players online at the same time, rather than the total number of people who tried the beta over its full run. SteamDB’s Battlefield 6 Open Beta chart tracks Steam activity.
What the Steam peak does—and does not—count
The 521,079 figure is specific to Steam. It does not include players using other PC launchers or playing on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, so it should not be presented as the beta’s cross-platform total. The available figure establishes the Steam peak, not the number of people playing across all platforms at once.
When and where was the beta available?
Electronic Arts announced two Open Beta weekends in August 2025, with maps, modes and features to try. The beta was available on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. In its 31 July announcement, EA wrote: “Our Open Beta has a number of maps, modes, and features for you to try across these two weekends, including the opportunity to play with Closed Weapons.” EA’s Open Beta announcement also listed PC minimum and recommended requirements.

How the other beta numbers differ
EA’s 21 August 2025 Open Beta debrief reported more than 600,000 hours streamed and more than 30 million hours watched. Those figures measure streaming and viewing activity, respectively; neither is a concurrent-player count and neither can be added to SteamDB’s peak. EA’s Open Beta debrief reports those engagement measures separately.

The beta was a limited-time preview, not an ongoing way to play. Battlefield 6 later released for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, according to EA’s launch announcement.
