Battlefield 6 update 1.1.2.0 was the California Resistance update, announced by EA on November 17, 2025, and scheduled to release November 18 at 09:00 UTC. It reset Aim Assist to its Open Beta tuning, adjusted controller response and weapon dispersion, and added the Eastwood map, Sabotage mode, two weapons, and other content. This is a historical patch guide: EA’s update archive lists later releases through Game Update 1.4.3.5, dated September 28, 2026. For the current game state, see EA’s Battlefield 6 News & Updates archive.
What changed in Battlefield 6 update 1.1.2.0?
The California Resistance update combined gameplay tuning and bug fixes with new multiplayer and Portal content. EA’s official 1.1.2.0 notes cover controller input, weapons, progression, maps and modes, gadgets, interface, settings, and the single-player campaign.
- Aim Assist and controllers: Aim Assist returned to its Open Beta tuning, while EA also listed improved controller input latency and stick response. No measured latency reduction was published.
- Weapons: The update corrected unintended dispersion increases, reduced dispersion globally, improved non-Recon sniper accuracy, and adjusted several automatic weapons and designated marksman rifles.
- Progression: Challenge and progression requirements became clearer to track.
- New content: Eastwood, limited-time Sabotage, the DB-12 shotgun, M357 Trait sidearm, a Rodeo Gauntlet mission, Portal additions, and a limited-time bonus path were introduced or announced.
- Fixes: The changelog also addresses player and weapon behavior, gadgets, maps and modes, UI and HUD, settings, and single-player issues.
Did update 1.1.2.0 change Aim Assist?
Yes. EA reset Aim Assist to the values used during the Open Beta and Battlefield Labs, and reset related options to their defaults. EA said that launch tuning had made high-zoom aiming feel less smooth and harder to control after changes to longer-range slowdown. Following player feedback and gameplay data review, the studio made the Open Beta behavior the default again, while leaving settings players could adjust to their preferences and playstyles.
EA described the goal this way: “This change keeps aim slowdown consistent across all ranges, helping with muscle memory and providing a steadier, more reliable feel as we move into future seasons.” The notes also list improved controller input latency and stick response, but provide no numeric measurement for either improvement.

What weapon and progression changes were included?
EA’s weapon tuning focused on dispersion and consistency rather than publishing specific damage or recoil figures. The notes say the update fixed unintended increases in weapon dispersion and reduced dispersion across weapon types. They also identify several targeted changes:
- Improved accuracy for sniper rifles used by classes other than Recon.
- Adjusted long-range performance weighting for automatic weapons, benefiting the PW7A2 and KV9, with minor adjustments to other weapons.
- Reduced recoil and variation for the LMR27, M39, and SVDM.
- Improved clarity around challenge and progression requirements.
These descriptions do not establish a particular damage change, measured accuracy gain, or competitive outcome. Consult the full official changelog for the exact weapon-specific notes.
What new content came with California Resistance?
Eastwood map
Eastwood is a new map with a Southern California theme and variants for official modes. In Conquest, EA lists tanks, helicopters, and a Golf Cart among the available vehicles.
Sabotage limited-time mode
Sabotage is a demolition mode built around attacking and defending cargo across two rounds. EA’s California Resistance roadmap describes three cargo sites labeled A, B, and C. The team that destroys more cargo wins; if both teams clear every site, the faster team takes the round.

Portal additions and Battle Pickups timing
Portal received a sandbox map option and the Golf Cart vehicle, and Fort Lyndon was added to Portal. EA’s notes said Battle Pickups would arrive later in the update, so they were not part of the initial rollout as described in those notes.
California Resistance bonus path
The limited-time bonus path ran from November 18 to December 9, 2025, according to EA’s roadmap. It could progress alongside the Season 1 Battle Pass; those dates describe the past event, not current availability.
