Battlefield 6 update 1.1.2.0 reset aim assist to the tuning used in Open Beta and Battlefield Labs, after EA said the launch version’s stronger long-range slowdown made high-zoom aiming feel less smooth and harder to control. The update was announced on November 17, 2025, and scheduled for November 18 at 09:00 UTC. It also fixed several controller-input issues and added California Resistance content.
What changed to aim assist?
EA said it revisited aim-assist tuning after testing across a broader range of maps and combat distances. At launch, the game had increased slowdown at longer ranges to make aim assist feel more effective beyond mid-range. After launch, EA reported that high-zoom aiming felt less smooth and more difficult to control.
With update 1.1.2.0, EA reverted aim assist to the values players had experienced in Open Beta and Battlefield Labs, and reset related options to defaults. The stated goal was more consistent slowdown across ranges, which EA said should support muscle memory and steadier aiming. Players could still adjust settings to suit their preferences and playstyles.
EA described the change this way: “After reviewing player feedback and gameplay data, we’re reverting aim assist back to the values some of you experienced during Open Beta and Battlefield Labs.” This is the developer’s explanation and intended result; the notes provide no before-and-after performance measurements or independent test results.

- Standard acceleration preset: Corrected Aiming Left/Right Acceleration, which the preset had set to 50% instead of 70%.
- Vehicle acceleration options: Fixed interactions between Vehicle Stick Acceleration Presets and the availability of the Infantry Aiming Left/Right Acceleration option.
