Can PS5 and Xbox players play Battlefield 6 together?
Yes. Battlefield 6 cross-play connects PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. EA says cross-play starts enabled. With it on, console matchmaking prioritizes other console players; PC players may be added if there are not enough console players available. Turning cross-play off on a console limits play to people on the same platform. For example, a PS5 player with the setting off should not expect to join Xbox friends. How to turn cross-play off
- Open Battlefield 6 and select the cog/settings menu.
- Select System.
- Under Setup, toggle Cross-play off. These are the steps EA lists in its cross-play instructions.
You cannot change the setting while in a party, on a server, or after matchmaking has begun. Leave the party or server, and stop matchmaking before trying again.

Does Battlefield 6 support mouse and keyboard on PS5 and Xbox?
EA’s accessibility page for the US English console versions documents mouse-and-keyboard control options for both PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. It lists remapping for infantry, vehicle, and user-interface actions, as well as aim and look sensitivity settings. The Xbox Store listing also identifies Console Keyboard & Mouse as a capability.
EA’s cited material does not specify a pairing walkthrough or a list of verified mouse and keyboard models. Use standard peripherals that your console recognizes, then check Battlefield 6’s control settings; support for a particular wireless receiver, adapter, or device combination is not established by these sources. An EA forum reply also says keyboard and mouse were natively supported on consoles during the beta, but the official accessibility documentation and Xbox listing are stronger evidence for the feature. Does cross-play depend on whether you use a controller or mouse and keyboard?
EA’s guidance describes matchmaking in terms of platform: PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. It does not say that cross-play settings or matchmaking pools are determined by whether you use a controller or mouse and keyboard. Treat input choice and cross-play as separate settings.

EA distinguishes supported accessibility tools from devices that manipulate gameplay. Its Season 4 anti-cheat update says supported tools such as Xbox Adaptive Controller, PlayStation Access Controller, and Steam Input are not prohibited. It identifies devices that manipulate aim-assist, run input scripts, or evade detection as prohibited, naming XIM, Cronus Zen, Strikepack, and Titan Two as examples.
