When Update 1.1.3.5 arrived
EA published the official Update 1.1.3.5 notes on January 16, 2026, and scheduled the update for January 20 at 9 AM UTC (1 AM PDT, 4 AM EDT, 10 AM CET). EA called it “a smaller set of focused improvements aimed at polish and consistency across Battlefield 6.”
That framing fits the patch: its most visible gameplay adjustments addressed air-to-air combat and melee responsiveness, alongside fixes across multiplayer, interface elements, and REDSEC.
What changed for jets
Jet cannons now deal less damage to other jets and helicopters. EA said destroying enemy air targets would require approximately 40% more hits. This is a change to the reported number of hits required—not a stated 40% reduction in damage per shot—and the notes do not claim the same effect against ground targets.

What changed for melee
The notes describe several adjustments to knife and sledgehammer attacks. They do not provide frame counts, exact damage values, or before-and-after timing measurements.
- Knife attacks became faster.
- Knife and sledgehammer attacks gained improved input buffering.
- Melee damage timing against enemies and the environment became more consistent.
- Sprinting is interrupted only until the melee attack reaches its target, rather than for the full attack animation.
These changes target responsiveness and consistency. EA did not label them a melee overhaul.

Other multiplayer fixes
- Vehicles no longer explode in the reported case where a takedown is performed on an enemy soldier lying on top of them.
- Bipods no longer incorrectly appear to provide a hipfire-accuracy bonus at all times; the bonus applies only while deployed.
- Weapon and attachment fixes address the DB-12 GRIM 1.50x optic’s loadout-point discrepancy, RPKM iron-sight aiming with the short barrel, and the TR-7 Light Barrel’s muzzle-velocity behavior.
- Input fixes cover bipod mounting with named controller presets and consistency for the controller recoil modifier.
- Firing Range target dummies can take damage while getting back up, and suppressors produce a small muzzle flash at close range.
- Ladder fixes address access to ladders positioned above the player, unexpected launches when entering ladders, and climbing animations.
- Players gained a scope reticle-colour customization option. A related fix makes the setting update supported thermal scopes and gadgets, while other interface fixes address menu focus and LMG reload-time displays.
- Explosion particle shockwave force was lowered.
REDSEC fixes
- A fix made landing speed more consistent.
- In Gauntlet’s “Data Extraction,” a drone should no longer disappear if drives are deposited as it lands.
- Armor-bar visibility fixes address Battle Royale and Gauntlet.
- The loot feed now shows the correct icon for the Airburst Incendiary Launcher.
Is Update 1.1.3.5 still the latest Battlefield 6 update?
No. EA’s Battlefield 6 news index listed Game Update 1.4.3.5 on September 28, 2026. Its official notes scheduled availability for September 30 at 08:00 UTC and described another smaller quality-of-life update, with menu and HUD, social-feature, mode, map, AI, PS5, and stability items. Update 1.1.3.5 is therefore best understood as a January 2026 patch, not the current version.
