What changed with Battlefield 6 Update 1.1.3.0?
EA published Update 1.1.3.0 on December 5, 2025, as part of the Winter Offensive event. The release combined seasonal content with fixes and refinements across combat, movement, vehicles, audio, the interface, and matchmaking. EA’s Winter Offensive update notes provide the full change list.
How did the update address unreliable hit reg?
EA described improvements to hit registration in cases where shots had not reliably connected. The situations it highlighted included quickly adjusting aim, firing before zooming had fully completed, and close-quarters fights with several players nearby.
The detailed notes say EA fixed a failure involving extremely rapid aim adjustments and improved reliability when multiple players were close together. This was not a claim that hit registration was completely fixed: EA said it was continuing to investigate additional edge cases.

What came with the Winter Offensive event?
Ice Lock Empire State
The event introduced Ice Lock Empire State, a winter-themed version of the Empire State map. EA also made the event map available in Portal during the event window.
Event mode and Ice Climbing Axe
Winter Offensive added a themed multiplayer and Gauntlet event mode built around a “Freeze” mechanic, along with the Ice Climbing Axe melee weapon.

Winter Offensive Bonus Path
The event’s Bonus Path contains 11 tiers of rewards, including cosmetics and XP Boosters. The 11-tier count refers to this event reward path, not to a general progression change.
What other bugs and systems did the patch address?
EA’s notes cover changes to player movement and animations, weapon handling and recoil, gadgets, vehicles, audio, the UI and HUD, controller aiming options, map-specific play, and matchmaking flow. Among the individual fixes were:

- Controller haptics continuing after a reload was interrupted.
- Players getting stuck in weapon inspection after entering a vehicle.
- Melee attacks failing after the player had taken melee damage.
These examples are part of a much longer changelog; they do not imply that every issue in those systems was resolved.

EA said it reduced cases in which player settings could reset during an update, but isolated cases were still occurring. At the time of the notes, EA expected to address those remaining cases in a later update.
Where can you play Battlefield 6?
EA lists Battlefield 6 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. EA’s product page lists supported platforms, and PlayStation’s product page lists PS5 editions. This update is for the game; it does not require a new purchase if you already play Battlefield 6.
