You can’t get a current, officially supported Battlefield Mobile APK + OBB download for the first alpha. The Android test ran in September 2021 in Thailand, the Philippines, and Indonesia. EA later stopped development of the current Battlefield mobile title. EA’s instructions for the test directed eligible players to Google Play and warned against downloading the game from third-party sites or installing a direct APK.
Was Battlefield Mobile’s first alpha available as an APK + OBB download?
No official APK + OBB download for the first alpha is established by EA’s published instructions. EA said eligible players could access the test through its regional Google Play listing while the test was live. It also warned: “We should note that the game should not be sideloaded through a third party site or direct APK download.” EA’s early-play-test FAQ does not specifically mention OBB files.
Since EA later announced it had stopped development of the current Battlefield mobile title, old APK or OBB files found elsewhere should not be treated as official, safe, authentic, or playable. There is no supported current installation route to provide.
When and where did the first test take place?
EA’s December 14, 2021 retrospective says the first early play test took place in September 2021 and was region-locked to Thailand, the Philippines, and Indonesia. EA’s retrospective describes a limited historical test, not a global release or a present-day download opportunity.

How did later Battlefield Mobile test phases differ?
The first early play test, later closed alpha, and open beta were distinct phases. Their regions and device requirements should not be conflated.

The requirements in the later rows come from EA’s closed-alpha FAQ and open-beta FAQ. They are historical specifications for those phases, not current compatibility guidance and not requirements for the first test.

Can an old package still run?
EA’s announcement that development stopped, together with its historical test-only distribution instructions, does not establish that archived packages will install, connect, or remain playable. A file hosted by a third party is not verified by EA’s former Google Play instructions. Avoid treating an APK or accompanying OBB as an official replacement for access to a live test.

What should you do if you’re looking for the game now?
- Do not rely on third-party APK + OBB sites as an official download source; EA explicitly cautioned against direct APK and third-party sideloading for the early test.
- Do not use the later closed-alpha or open-beta specifications to infer support for a current release; they describe discontinued test phases.
- Check EA’s announcement for the status of the Battlefield Mobile project rather than following old test links as if they were active.
