Battlefield REDSEC, a experiência gratuita de battle royale ligada a Battlefield 6, foi lançada em 28 de outubro de 2025. O conteúdo da Temporada 1 ficou disponível ao meio-dia, no horário de Brasília. A atualização do jogo estava prevista para as 6h, mas esse não era o horário de abertura do conteúdo.

A EA programou o desbloqueio da Temporada 1 e do conteúdo associado para 15h UTC em 28 de outubro de 2025. Convertido para o horário de Brasília, UTC−3 naquela data, isso correspondeu a 12h (meio-dia). O lançamento já aconteceu.

A atualização 1.1.1.0 estava prevista para 09h UTC, ou 6h em Brasília. Ela chegou seis horas antes do desbloqueio; portanto, instalar a atualização não significava que a nova temporada já estivesse disponível. A programação oficial da EA informava os horários em UTC.
O que é Battlefield REDSEC?
REDSEC foi anunciado como uma experiência gratuita lançada junto à primeira temporada de Battlefield 6. O pacote reunia três componentes:

Essas características e o número de jogadores foram descritos pela EA no comunicado de lançamento.

O comunicado também indicou que é necessária conexão persistente à internet e uma conta EA; uma conta da plataforma e uma assinatura aplicável podem ser exigidas e são vendidas separadamente. A publicação não detalhou requisitos específicos para cada país ou plataforma.
