Beast of Reincarnation has a New Game Plus mode, officially named Reincarnation+. On PC, the October 1, 2026 v1.1.0 update added Hard, Very Hard and Ruthless settings alongside Normal’s default-equivalent setting. The same announcement says you can change difficulty during play.
A later PC update also changes how one mid-game route works. After Great Wall Terraces, you can either play three zones on the Mountain Route or select “Hasten to the Capital” to bypass them. That shortcut has an achievement consequence in a New Game run, while the official note says the skipped-zone achievements remain obtainable through the Mountain Route in New Game+.

What Reincarnation+ means in Beast of Reincarnation
Reincarnation+ is the game’s official name for New Game Plus. The name appears in the PC patch notes rather than in an independently documented fan label, so “NG+,” “New Game Plus” and “Reincarnation+” refer to the same replay feature in this context.

The important confirmation came with PC patch v1.1.0 on October 1, 2026. Its announcement explicitly says that increased difficulty options were added for New Game+. That establishes that Reincarnation+ is a playable mode, not merely a reference to restarting an ordinary save.

The update does not publish a complete systems guide. In particular, the official material reviewed for this answer does not specify which weapons, upgrades, levels, currencies, skills, collectibles or quest states transfer. Those details should not be inferred from the mode’s name. Your platform’s current in-game description or a later official explanation is the authority for carry-over rules.
Reincarnation+ difficulty options
PC players receive four difficulty choices in the updated New Game Plus mode. The patch describes Normal as the default equivalent, then adds three higher settings. It also states that difficulty can be changed during gameplay, which makes the choice less permanent than a typical one-time mode selection.

Ruthless is not simply a slightly higher numerical setting. The official description that Emma dies in one hit makes survival the defining rule, so it changes how you approach exploration and encounters. Treat it as a challenge run rather than the natural first choice for learning Reincarnation+.
Because the patch says the difficulty can be changed during gameplay, you can begin at one setting and adjust if the run becomes either too easy or unreasonably restrictive. The notes do not describe whether changing difficulty affects achievements, rewards or any other progression system. Check the warning text shown by your current build before confirming a change.

The Great Wall Terraces route choice
PC patch v1.1.01, released October 9, 2026, adds a route decision after the Great Wall Terraces zone. The choice is between continuing through the normal sequence and selecting the exact option “Hasten to the Capital.”

The achievement warning is specifically tied to taking the shortcut during a New Game run. The same update says those achievements can still be earned in New Game+ by using the Mountain Route. That makes Reincarnation+ useful for cleanup: a player who chose the shortcut initially can replay the omitted content rather than assuming the missed achievements are permanently lost.
The notes do not state whether the shortcut has additional effects on items, bosses, level scaling, dialogue or completion percentages. Select it for a faster story path, not on the assumption that every skipped activity is represented elsewhere.

What carries over into Reincarnation+?
The reviewed official announcements confirm the mode and its difficulty options, but they do not provide a carry-over list. There is therefore no verified answer here for whether a particular sword, skill, level, upgrade material, map discovery, collectible, quest flag or currency transfers from a completed game.

That distinction matters because “New Game Plus” describes the replay structure, not a universal rule set. Different games preserve different combinations of character power, equipment, unlocks and story progress. Until an official description for your build says otherwise, avoid planning around a specific item or stat being retained.
- Confirmed: Reincarnation+ exists on PC after the cited update, with selectable difficulty settings.
- Not established by the cited official notes: exact equipment, level, skill, currency, collectible and quest carry-over rules.
- Safe planning approach: record the items and achievements you still need, then verify the mode’s in-game explanation before committing to a new save.
If your goal is achievement completion, the route information is more reliable than assumptions about inventory. Use the Mountain Route for the three zones specifically because the patch notes identify it as the New Game+ path where the skipped-zone achievements remain available.
Which platforms have the confirmed feature?
The detailed Reincarnation+ and route announcements cited here are PC patch notes. They confirm the feature for the PC build covered by v1.1.0 and v1.1.01, but they do not establish that the same patch numbers or menu options had rolled out identically on PlayStation 5 or Xbox at the same time.

That is a version-and-platform qualification, not evidence that console versions lack New Game Plus. Before starting a replay on console, check the installed version and the current patch notes for that platform. A console release can receive the same feature on a different schedule or display different labels.

The official Japanese product page lists a PlayStation 5 release on August 4, 2026, at a suggested retail price of ¥8,980 including tax. That is a Japan-listed launch price, not a universal current price and not evidence about Reincarnation+ availability on every regional PS5 build. An Xbox listing confirms the game’s presence on Xbox Series X|S and Windows 10/11 and gives the same August 4, 2026 release date, but the materials reviewed here do not confirm feature parity for those versions.

The official announcements do not publish a button-by-button menu path, so the safest procedure is to use the labels in your installed build rather than follow an assumed sequence.
- Update the game. On PC, confirm that the build includes v1.1.0 or a later patch for the New Game Plus difficulty options. The route shortcut is associated with v1.1.01, dated October 9, 2026.
- Complete or reach the point required by your save. Reincarnation+ is a replay mode, so make sure your completed-game save is preserved before creating a new run. Do not overwrite a file you may still need for unfinished achievements.
- Open the new-game or replay selection screen. Look for the label “Reincarnation+.” If it is not shown, verify the installed version and platform before concluding that the mode is missing.
- Choose a difficulty. Normal is the default-equivalent option; Hard, Very Hard and Ruthless are the added challenge choices listed in the PC notes. Read any warning attached to the setting, especially Ruthless’s one-hit death rule.
- Recheck settings in play. The v1.1.0 announcement says difficulty can be changed during gameplay. Use the current game’s confirmation screen to see which settings are available and whether the change affects any tracked objective.
- At Great Wall Terraces, choose your route deliberately. Select the Mountain Route if you need content or achievements from Pilgrim’s Zone, Matsukawa Colony Zone and Fuji Frontier Zone. Select “Hasten to the Capital” only when bypassing those zones is more important than their New Game achievement opportunities.
Choosing a Reincarnation+ plan
For a normal replay
Use Normal and the Mountain Route. This combination preserves access to all three zones named in the route note and avoids adding a challenge modifier before you know what your retained progress looks like.
For a harder combat run
Choose Hard or Very Hard after checking the mode’s warning text. These settings are explicitly listed as increased New Game Plus difficulties, but the official notes do not quantify enemy health, damage, rewards or other tuning. Judge the change by the in-game description rather than assuming a particular percentage increase.

For a challenge run
Ruthless is the specialist option. Since the patch describes Emma dying in a single hit, plan around avoiding damage instead of treating it as an ordinary difficulty ladder. Keep a separate save if you also want a completion-focused run.
For a faster route
Choose “Hasten to the Capital” after Great Wall Terraces when you intentionally want to bypass the three named zones. On a New Game run, that shortcut blocks achievements obtainable in those zones for that run; the official note identifies the Mountain Route in New Game+ as the way to obtain them later.
What is confirmed, and what remains unanswered
The strongest answer to the title is straightforward: New Game Plus exists, and its official name is Reincarnation+. The PC updates also establish adjustable difficulty choices and a route shortcut with a documented achievement tradeoff.
