This five-agent shell gives Hush the four things a space-making Duelist needs: a smoke that hides her approach, information before she commits, suppression and flashes to weaken the defense, and a Sentinel who protects the flank and post-plant. Swap KAY/O for Fade when layered tracking is more valuable, or test Harbor only on maps where a wall can create a reliable protected lane.
Hush was revealed on October 18, 2026 and is scheduled to release on October 27, 2026, so these are launch-day role-based recommendations rather than proven statistics. No Hush-specific pick rate, win rate, professional composition, or map performance has been published yet.

What Hush needs from a team
Hush is VALORANT’s ninth Duelist, according to the launch coverage from Dot Esports. Her described kit combines a unique dash for taking space, a redirectable flash, displacement utility, and an ultimate that lifts every player in an area. That kit suggests a first-contact agent who can force defenders off a position, but it also creates a clear team-building problem: Hush spends mobility and utility to enter, so teammates must make the entry safe and make the resulting space useful.

- Space creation: Hush starts the fight and threatens a fast entry.
- Vision control: A Controller blocks the sightlines that would otherwise punish her dash.
- Pre-contact information: An Initiator identifies a target, clears dangerous positions, and gives Hush a timing window.
- Area security: A Sentinel watches the flank, anchors the site Hush is not attacking, and adds post-plant value.
The fifth slot is usually another Initiator, a second Controller, or a flexible utility agent. It should solve the map’s specific problem instead of automatically adding another damage dealer.
How to judge a Hush teammate
Evaluate every candidate on four practical axes before looking at tier lists or duo percentages.
- First-contact safety: Can the agent hide, blind, or otherwise reduce the number of defenders who can shoot Hush as she dashes?
- Information quality: Does the utility reveal a real target and a usable timing window, or does it produce vague information after Hush has already committed?
- Defensive-utility denial: Can the teammate suppress, stun, clear, or punish the traps and stall tools that stop an entry?
- Post-entry coverage: Once Hush has spent her mobility, does the team still have flank protection, site control, and post-plant denial?
The best partner is not necessarily the agent with the highest individual fragging potential. Hush’s value rises when the rest of the team converts her first contact into territory, numbers, and a winnable post-plant.

Controllers that enable Hush
Omen: the default Controller
Omen is the most complete starting point. His flexible smokes can close the defender sightlines that make a dash predictable, and his ability to play aggressively after placing them keeps the execute from becoming a one-way trade. The V26 composition guidance specifically uses Omen in an Ascent example because he can both support a structured hit and improvise when defenders rotate.
Use Omen’s first smoke to remove the longest angle that can see Hush’s entry lane. Place the second smoke to split the site or isolate a close defender. Hush should commit only after the smoke edge and the Initiator’s information overlap; dashing through an empty smoke without a confirmed target gives defenders time to swing together. Omen can then follow through the same gap, hold the blind side of the smoke, or save a smoke for the plant and post-plant retake.
Clove: a flexible current option
Clove is useful when the team wants a Controller who can continue contributing after an early death. ValoHub’s Patch 12.10 editorial baseline estimated a 56.1% win rate for a Clove/Jett/Sova/Killjoy/Fade composition. That number is an editorial estimate, not a ranked-match measurement, and it contains Jett rather than Hush, so it cannot establish Hush synergy. It does support testing a Clove-centered structure when your group values post-death smoke access and a more self-sufficient Controller.
Choose Clove when Hush’s entry plan expects a chaotic trade sequence and the Controller may be exposed while following. Keep the smoke timing disciplined: Clove’s ability to remain useful after death does not replace a pre-entry sightline block.

Harbor: a map-dependent wall plan
Harbor is a specialist choice, not a universal replacement for Omen. A wall can create a protected lane for Hush’s dash, but the lane must lead somewhere valuable and must not leave the team unable to stop a retake. Esports Oracle’s June 2026 table reported Harbor/Jett at 72.7% over 22 games and Harbor/Sova at 69.7% over 33 games. Those are small, patch-sensitive samples, are not Hush-specific, and do not prove Harbor/Hush synergy.
Test Harbor only when the map gives the wall a clean route from choke to site. Coordinate the wall, Sova recon, and Hush’s flash as one sequence; a wall placed without information merely hides defenders from both teams. Keep enough utility to protect the plant rather than spending every piece on the initial lane.
Initiators that create Hush’s timing window
Sova: reliable pre-dash information
Sova is the safest default Initiator because Recon can identify a target before Hush commits. The published role-balanced examples for Ascent and Haven repeatedly use Sova for that reason. Fire Recon so that its scan lands just before Hush’s dash, not several seconds earlier. If the dart reveals a defender, Hush can redirect her flash or displacement toward a known position; if it is destroyed, the shot itself still tells the team where attention is concentrated.
Use Owl Drone when the entry requires close-range confirmation. A drone that forces a defender to shoot can create the exact timing Hush needs, while a late drone merely follows her into danger. Sova’s post-plant shock darts also give the composition a way to delay a defuse after Hush has taken space.
Fade: layered tracking on close-range maps
Fade is the strongest alternative when the map rewards close-range pressure and repeated tracking. Her Haunt and tether-style tools can keep a defender from escaping the area Hush has entered. Fade appears in cited Bind examples and in the current editorial composition that also includes Clove, Jett, Sova, and Killjoy.
Fade’s utility is most valuable when the team can act on it immediately. Have Hush wait for the tether or haunt confirmation, then use her flash or displacement to finish the isolated target. Do not throw every tracking tool at the first choke; reserve one piece for the retake path so defenders cannot simply regroup after Hush’s initial contact.
KAY/O: suppression and flash support
KAY/O directly addresses the defensive utility that can stop a Duelist. Suppression can disable the abilities that would trap, blind, or stall Hush, while his flash gives her a second way to take the first duel. The V26 Ascent example pairs KAY/O with Omen, Sova, Jett, and Killjoy, which illustrates the same logic even though it predates Hush.

Suppress before Hush dashes when you expect utility-heavy resistance. Flash after the suppression pulse if the team needs a clean swing, or save the flash to clear the first defender who survives. KAY/O’s ultimate can also stabilize a hit that would otherwise collapse, but the team must be ready to protect or recover him; using it without a follow-up plan turns a powerful execute into a short-lived advantage.

Killjoy: the default anchor and post-plant partner
Killjoy gives the composition a dependable answer to the flank and to a retake after Hush has spent her mobility. Her utility can hold the site the team is not attacking, and her post-plant tools punish defenders who rush the spike. Killjoy appears in both the V26 example and ValoHub’s Patch 12.10 editorial baseline.
On attack, place the flank alarm where a late lurker must pass and keep at least one piece of utility for the plant site. On defense, anchor the opposite site so Hush can contest the first contact without leaving the rest of the map empty. Coordinate Lockdown with Hush’s displacement ultimate: forcing defenders out of a zone can create a safe plant, while lifting or displacing them into a Lockdown area can make the retake especially awkward.
Cypher: earlier warning and information
Cypher is preferable when the team needs earlier warning rather than heavier post-plant damage. Map examples repeatedly use him as the information-and-flank specialist. Tripwires can tell Hush’s team that a defender is rotating before the Duelist commits, allowing the group to cancel a hit or redirect it toward a weakened site.
Choose Cypher on maps where the enemy’s most dangerous response is a fast flank or lurk. His camera can also support a staged entry by checking the angle Hush cannot safely clear while dashing. The trade-off is less direct post-plant denial than Killjoy, so the remaining teammates must preserve utility for the spike.
Recommended five-agent shells
| Shell | Best use | Why it works | Main risk |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hush / Omen / Sova / Killjoy / KAY/O | Default coordinated attack | Smokes, recon, suppression, flashes, flank control, and post-plant denial all appear in one structure. | If utility is mistimed, Hush enters alone and the composition has little left for the retake. |
| Hush / Omen / Fade / Killjoy / Sova | Information-heavy rounds | Recon plus Haunt and tether pressure can isolate a defender before the dash. | The team gives up KAY/O’s suppression, so defensive utility must be cleared by timing and tracking. |
| Hush / Brimstone or Omen / Breach or Fade / Cypher / flex | Tight maps and close-range pressure | Fast smokes, stuns or tracking, and Cypher’s flank warning support short choke fights. | The composition can lack long-range information and may struggle if the first hit stalls. |
| Hush / Harbor / Sova / Killjoy / flex | Maps with a clean wall-defined lane | Harbor’s wall can give Hush a protected route while Sova confirms the destination. | Harbor’s published duo figures are not Hush-specific; a poor wall can hide defenders and leave no utility for post-plant. |
Default coordinated shell: Hush, Omen, Sova, Killjoy, KAY/O
Use this lineup when the team wants the fewest unanswered problems. Sova finds the first target, KAY/O suppresses the utility that could stop Hush, Omen removes the sightline, and Hush takes the space. Killjoy then secures the flank and turns the plant into a utility problem for the retaking team.
- Omen smokes the primary defender sightline and the secondary swing angle.
- Sova sends Recon or Drone to identify the first contact.
- KAY/O suppresses the area or flashes the revealed position.
- Hush uses the dash, flash, or displacement to take the marked space.
- Killjoy covers the flank while the remaining players secure the plant and save post-plant utility.
Information-heavy shell: Hush, Omen, Fade, Killjoy, Sova
Pick this version when defenders rely on repositioning rather than ability denial. Layer Sova’s Recon with Fade’s Haunt so the team knows whether the first defender stayed, rotated, or was pulled away. Hush should be the first player through the opening, but Fade must be close enough to capitalize on a tether. This shell is strongest when the team can communicate exact locations instead of calling vague information such as “one site.”

Tight-map pressure shell
On compact sites, Brimstone’s fast smokes and Breach’s close-range disruption can replace Omen and KAY/O, while Fade or Cypher fills the information gap. The cited Bind examples favor Brimstone, Breach, Raze, Cypher, and Skye-style close-range utility; adapt that principle around Hush rather than copying the list literally. The goal is to win the first choke decisively, not to run a slow default that gives defenders time to stack the site.
Wall-and-lane shell
Harbor, Sova, Killjoy, Hush, and a flexible fifth agent form a testable lane composition. The flex slot can add KAY/O for suppression, Fade for tracking, or a second Controller if the map has unusually long exposed rotations. This shell should be selected from the map geometry first, not from Harbor’s 72.7% or 69.7% duo figures, which came from small samples involving other Duelists and are not evidence about Hush.
Attacking protocol: turn the dash into a team entry
Before the round
Call the exact first target, the smoke locations, and the fallback if Recon finds nothing. Hush’s player should know whether the dash is for a kill, a plant lane, or displacement. A team that has not defined that purpose will often spend every piece of utility on the first five seconds and have no plan after contact.
At the choke
Initiator information should arrive immediately before the dash. Omen’s smoke or Harbor’s wall must already block the most dangerous sightline. KAY/O’s suppression or a flash follows the information, not the other way around. Hush then commits while at least one teammate is close enough to trade. The second player should swing on the same beat rather than waiting to see whether Hush gets a highlight kill.
After first contact
Once Hush is inside, stop treating her as a solo Duelist. The team should clear the nearest safe pocket, plant, and establish post-plant positions. Killjoy or Cypher watches the flank; Sova, Fade, or KAY/O saves one piece of utility for the retake route. If Hush dies but the team has site control and a planted spike, the entry still succeeded. If she survives but everyone else is stuck outside, the composition failed to convert the space.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Defending with a Hush composition
Hush can contest an early push, but her defensive value is highest when she has a planned escape route. Omen or Harbor should preserve a smoke or wall for the first enemy contact, while Sova, Fade, or Cypher provides information that lets Hush choose the fight instead of dry-peeking every choke. Killjoy’s anchor setup or Cypher’s trips should make the opposite site safe enough for Hush to rotate aggressively.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →On a retake, do not send Hush first through an uncleared choke simply because she has a dash. Let Sova or Fade identify the retake lane, use Omen or Harbor to split the site, and reserve Hush’s mobility for the final close-range fight or for escaping after the spike is tapped. KAY/O’s suppression is particularly valuable here because it can remove the utility that defenders have saved for the retake.

Map and matchup adjustments
Ascent
Omen’s flexible smokes and Sova’s Recon fit Ascent’s long sightlines and predictable defender angles. The V26 example that pairs Omen, Sova, KAY/O, Killjoy, and a Duelist illustrates the structure to copy: smoke the lane, reveal the anchor, suppress or flash the response, and let Hush enter with a trade behind her.
Haven
Three sites make early information more valuable. Sova’s recon can prevent the team from committing into a stacked site, while Killjoy or Cypher protects the site left empty. Keep one Controller smoke for the rotation because a Hush hit that wins one site can still lose to a fast collapse from the other two.
Bind and other tight maps
Shorter corridors reward Breach or Fade-style close-range disruption and make Cypher’s flank warning especially useful. Brimstone can be a practical alternative to Omen when the execute is confined to a small area and the team wants all smokes available immediately. The composition should hit quickly after information; delaying after the first flash allows defenders to regroup in the same narrow space.
Wall-friendly maps
Harbor deserves testing where a wall can connect a safe staging area to the plant zone without exposing the team at its end. If the wall merely moves the choke farther forward, Omen’s flexible smoke plan is usually easier to adjust. Sova is the preferred partner because he can verify that the protected lane is not leading into a stacked defense.
Common failure modes and fixes
- Hush dashes before information: Fire Recon, Haunt, Drone, or a camera first. A dash is a commitment, not a scouting tool.
- All utility is spent on the first choke: Reserve one flash, suppression pulse, tether, or post-plant denial piece for the retake.
- The Controller smokes too deep: Place smoke where it blocks the defender’s longest angle while leaving Hush a clear route to tradeable space.
- No one follows the entry: Assign a second player to swing on Hush’s contact timer, even if the Duelist has not yet secured a kill.
- The Sentinel anchors the wrong area: Killjoy should protect the flank and plant zone; Cypher should place trips where they provide actionable warning, not merely information after the round is lost.
- Harbor is chosen from a statistic alone: The available 72.7% Harbor/Jett result covered 22 games and the 69.7% Harbor/Sova result covered 33 games. Neither measures Hush, and neither replaces a map-specific wall plan.
- Clove’s 56.1% figure is treated as proof: ValoHub labels that Patch 12.10 number an editorial estimate for a different five-agent lineup, not a ranked-match measurement.
What the available numbers do—and do not—show
The published figures are useful as prompts for testing, not as a Hush tier list. Esports Oracle’s Harbor/Jett 72.7% over 22 games and Harbor/Sova 69.7% over 33 games are small, patch-sensitive duo samples. ValoHub’s 56.1% Clove/Jett/Sova/Killjoy/Fade figure is explicitly an editorial estimate. None records Hush’s performance.
Hush was revealed at the 2026 VALORANT Champions grand final and is planned for Season 26 Act VI after the VCT 2026 season. TheSpike also reports that Hush is the first agent launching with the Agent Mastery system, which adds a dedicated reward track. Until players accumulate meaningful matches after the October 27 release, role fit and map geometry are more defensible selection tools than win-rate claims.
How to test your own Hush composition after release
- Start with the default Hush/Omen/Sova/Killjoy/KAY/O shell for at least several maps so the team learns one timing language.
- Record whether the first Recon or Haunt produced actionable information before each dash.
- Mark whether a teammate was in trade range when Hush made contact.
- Track how often the team had one piece of utility left for the plant or retake.
- Swap only one role at a time—KAY/O for Fade, Killjoy for Cypher, or Omen for Harbor—so the result is interpretable.
- Judge the change by entry survival, site conversion, and post-plant success rather than by a handful of wins.
This process will reveal whether a lineup fits your map pool and communication style without pretending that early public samples are stable evidence.

Verdict
For coordinated play, pair Hush with Omen, Sova, Killjoy, and KAY/O first. Omen supplies adaptable cover, Sova supplies the pre-dash target, KAY/O removes defensive utility and adds a flash, and Killjoy preserves the space after Hush enters. Fade is the best information-focused substitution, Cypher is the flank-warning alternative to Killjoy, and Harbor is a specialist experiment for maps where his wall creates a genuinely safe lane. Treat every ranking as provisional until Hush has real post-release match data.
