For an FHD display, start with the Very Low graphics preset: AION 2’s official compatibility guidance says to use it at FHD. That is a compatibility recommendation, not a promise of a particular frame rate. If performance is still unsatisfactory, use the lower-spec settings below as a starting point, then adjust in-game and compare in the same scene.
Start with the official FHD compatibility setting
The AION 2 Steam system-requirements listing says, “When using FHD resolution in-game, set the graphics preset to Very Low to ensure compatibility.” The same sentence appears in the NCSOFT support FAQ result. This guidance is specific to FHD and compatibility; it does not establish that Very Low will deliver smooth performance on every PC or specify an FPS target.

Lower-spec settings to try
The following values combine recommendations from Playnews and Destructoid. They are editorial starting points, not official hardware-specific settings or the result of controlled before-and-after testing.

Adjust settings without guessing
- Apply Very Low at FHD. Use the in-game graphics preset as the baseline if you play at FHD.
- Try the lower-spec values. Set the listed options, prioritizing lower effects, mass battle detail, shadows, vegetation and clouds if you want to reduce visual load.
- Compare in the same situation. Revisit the same scene or activity after each change. This makes differences easier to notice than comparing unrelated areas or moments.
- Change one option or a small group at a time. If image clarity or readability suffers, restore the last change and test another option instead.
- Recheck after major patches. Game builds and PC configurations can affect performance and available options, so settings that suit one setup or build may not suit another.
What these recommendations can—and cannot—tell you
No validated FPS figures or controlled per-setting gains are established in the sources cited here. AION2 Guide says its setting rankings are based on inferred rendering cost and recommendations rather than measurements; it reports no published frame-rate benchmark or per-preset measurement in the material it reviewed. Accordingly, treat any improvement as something to check on your own PC, not a guaranteed result from a particular slider.

Lower effects or crowd detail may change what you see during busy combat, while reducing texture quality can make the image less detailed. The cited guides do not establish a specific competitive or PvP advantage from any setting, so choose values based on observed smoothness and the visual information you want to retain.
