Best AION 2 Graphics Settings for Smoother Gameplay

Start at Very Low for minimum-tier PCs or Low for recommended-tier PCs at Full HD, then test individual settings in a repeatable scene.

For Full HD, start with AION 2’s official compatibility guidance: use Very Low if your PC is near the minimum requirements, or Low if it meets the recommended tier. These are starting points, not FPS guarantees. To find a better balance, test one setting at a time in a repeatable scene and keep combat visibility and image clarity in mind.

Start with your PC’s hardware tier

PLAYNC Support’s AION 2 requirements, dated July 21, 2026, list the following hardware and Full HD preset guidance. The specifications are compatibility requirements, not measured performance results.

Tier Processor Memory Graphics card Storage Full HD preset guidance
Minimum AMD Ryzen 5 2600 or Intel Core i5-10500 8 GB RAM NVIDIA GTX 1050 Ti, 4 GB 100 GB available; SSD recommended Very Low for compatibility
Recommended AMD Ryzen 7 3700X or Intel Core i7-11700 16 GB RAM NVIDIA RTX 2070, 8 GB 100 GB available; SSD recommended Low for compatibility

Both tiers specify Windows 10/11 64-bit and DirectX 12. The same requirements and Full HD notes appear on the PLAYNC Support page and the Steam store listing. If your system falls below the listed processor, memory, or graphics-card tier, a preset change may not resolve every performance problem.

How to tune settings without losing combat clarity

  1. Choose the matching baseline. At Full HD, begin with Very Low near the minimum tier or Low near the recommended tier.
  2. Use a repeatable scene. Compare in the same area and activity, such as a crowded encounter or a quieter zone. Scene type matters: a crowded scene can behave differently from ordinary traversal.
  3. Change one setting at a time. If performance still feels poor, try lowering options such as global illumination, reflections, shadows, or effects, then assess whether the change helps without making enemies or combat effects harder to read.
  4. Check crowd density in busy areas. A third-party guide suggests reducing it when crowded scenes are CPU-limited. Treat this as a test, not a guaranteed fix.
  5. Adjust resolution scaling cautiously. Lower internal resolution or upscaling may help smoothness, but aggressive scaling can soften the image. The same guide cautions against stacking two upscalers.
  6. Set texture quality with VRAM in mind. The guide advises keeping textures as high as available video memory allows; if you notice performance or memory issues, test a lower level.

These setting suggestions come from third-party guides, not controlled AION 2 benchmarks. The guides do not establish a universal ranking of which option produces the largest improvement. Keep changes that make play feel smoother while preserving the visual detail and visibility you need.

Check storage and expectations

PLAYNC lists 100 GB of available storage and recommends an SSD. That is installation and storage guidance; it does not establish that an SSD improves FPS or graphics quality. The published requirements also do not specify the frame rate a PC should achieve. No single preset can be called best for every processor, graphics card, resolution, and gameplay situation based on the available benchmark evidence.
