The best less-expensive official alternative is Baldur & Broods if price matters most. Choose a 1/4-scale Kratos & Atreus edition when cabinet space is the constraint, or Master Thyself Kratos when you want a similarly imposing 1/3-scale centerpiece. None is a cheaper Thor: each changes the character, scale, or display brief.
Quick answer: which statue should replace Thor?
- Lowest listed price: Baldur & Broods is the official catalog’s least expensive option in this comparison and shifts the display to an older God of War design context.
- Best for a smaller room: Either 1/4-scale Kratos & Atreus edition gives you two characters while taking a more manageable approach than a 1/3-scale centerpiece.
- Closest like-for-like display presence: Master Thyself Kratos keeps the 1/3 scale and sits just below the Thor budget, but it is a Kratos interpretation rather than a Ragnarök antagonist.
- Best if Thor is non-negotiable: The DX Bonus Version is an upgrade, not an alternative for saving money. It costs more and adds display parts for collectors who specifically want Thor.
- Best for a matching premium lineup: Atreus is designed for a high-end God of War display, but its listed price is above the regular Thor.
What the regular Thor statue actually offers
The reference piece is Prime 1 Studio’s regular Thor Real Elite Masterline statue from God of War: Ragnarök. Its listed price is $1,599, with an edition size of 100. The page describes a 1/3-scale figure on a themed base, a removable fabric cloak, and LED-light-up Mjolnir features. The product copy calls Thor “A destructive force bound by an inescapable bloodline.”

The published approximate dimensions are 105 cm high, 83 cm wide, and 61 cm deep. The approximate weight is 55 kg. Those are not minor specifications: the statue needs a display surface, route into the room, and delivery plan capable of handling a large, heavy crate. The listing gives an expected shipping window of November 2026 through February 2027 and currently shows a waitlist state.

Official alternatives compared
| Product | Listed price | Scale | Why it fits | Main trade-off |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Baldur & Broods | $1,199 | 1/4 | Lowest-priced official God of War statue in the catalog | Different character and older God of War design context |
| Kratos & Atreus | $1,399 or $1,499 | 1/4 | Two-character display with a smaller overall brief | Less physically imposing than a 1/3-scale Thor |
| Master Thyself Kratos Bonus Version | $1,549 | 1/3 | Near-Thor budget with the larger scale | Kratos replaces Thor; expected ship window is May–August 2027 and the edition size is 400 |
| Young Kratos | $1,549 | 1/3 | Full-size display presence at a similar budget | Different era and character interpretation |
| Atreus | $2,299 | 1/3 | Useful for a coordinated premium God of War lineup | Substantially more expensive than Thor |
The prices and scales above are catalog listings dated 2026. The two Kratos & Atreus prices represent separate editions shown in the catalog; the available listing information does not establish a feature-by-feature difference between them. Dimensions, weights, included accessories, and edition sizes are not stated here for the alternatives unless specifically noted, so do not infer parity with Thor from scale alone.
How much of a compromise is each choice?
Baldur & Broods: the price-first decision
This is the clearest answer to “What costs less than Thor?” within the listed official catalog. It is roughly $400 below the reference price, but the saving comes with a character change and a 1/4-scale format. Baldur belongs to an older God of War design context, so it will not reproduce the visual story of a Ragnarök Thor display.
Choose it when your priority order is: stay under budget, remain with an official God of War statue, and accept that the centerpiece will tell a different story. It is a poor substitute if the point of the purchase is specifically Thor’s presence, Mjolnir, or a Ragnarök villain arrangement.
Kratos & Atreus: the space-conscious decision
The 1/4-scale pair is the practical route for a cabinet, office, or room where a 1/3-scale statue is difficult to place. You get two named characters rather than one, which can make the display feel narratively complete even though it is less physically imposing. The listed options are about $100–$200 below Thor.
Do not treat “1/4 scale” as a guaranteed footprint measurement. A broad base, weapon poses, and the spacing between two figures can still consume substantial shelf width. Ask the seller for the current packed and assembled measurements before committing to a cabinet or enclosed case.
Master Thyself Kratos Bonus Version: the scale-first decision
This is the closest budget substitute when the reason you wanted Thor was the visual authority of a 1/3-scale centerpiece. It is listed only $50 below the reference price, so it is a modest saving rather than a budget model. The subject changes from Thor to Kratos, and the expected ship window is May–August 2027. Its edition size is 400.

Young Kratos keeps the 1/3-scale presence at the same near-Thor budget as Master Thyself Kratos, but it represents a different era and character interpretation. It is the better fit for a collection organized around Kratos across the series rather than around the Ragnarök cast.
Because the supplied catalog information does not establish its shipping window, edition size, dimensions, or included parts, request those details before comparing it with Thor’s published specification sheet.
Atreus: the lineup decision
Atreus is not a cheaper alternative: its listed price is above the Thor reference. It belongs in the conversation only if your real objective is a premium, character-complete God of War display and you are willing to increase the budget. Buying it as a cost-saving replacement would contradict the catalog pricing.
Scale, dimensions, and the space you need
Thor’s approximately 105 cm height, 83 cm width, and 61 cm depth describe a substantial display object before you account for clearance, packaging, and access. The 55 kg approximate weight also changes the practical requirements. Measure the route from delivery entrance to final room, including lifts, stair turns, door openings, and any narrow cabinet aperture. A shelf that technically fits the dimensions may still be unusable if the base cannot be rotated into position.

Use a full-size floor or cardboard outline to mark Thor’s width and depth. Mark the maximum height with tape or a temporary frame. This reveals conflicts with lighting, shelves, ceiling fixtures, and viewing distance before a deposit is at risk. For any cabinet, verify its rated load rather than relying on the appearance of a thick glass shelf; the load is concentrated through the base, not spread evenly across the whole surface.

The 1/4-scale alternatives are generally the sensible first look for constrained furniture, but the catalog does not provide comparable assembled dimensions or weights in the supplied information. Scale is a proportion, not a promise of a particular width or depth. Ask for the current product sheet and measure the actual base, weapon reach, and any removable elements.
Character and display-story fit
A cheaper statue only works if it satisfies the reason you wanted Thor. Make that reason explicit before comparing prices:
- Ragnarök antagonist focus: Thor is the direct match. The listed alternatives change the story to Kratos, Atreus, or Baldur.
- Kratos-led collection: Master Thyself Kratos or Young Kratos keeps the display centered on the series’ protagonist, with the choice determined by the era you prefer.
- Parent-and-child composition: Kratos & Atreus provides two characters in one product, making it a more coherent scene than a single replacement figure.
- Early-series atmosphere: Baldur & Broods supports an older God of War visual context rather than Ragnarök’s Norse finale.
- Character-complete premium wall: Atreus makes sense alongside other high-end figures only if the higher spend and 1/3-scale footprint are acceptable.
Write the intended display sentence—such as “Ragnarök villains,” “Kratos through the series,” or “Kratos and Atreus together”—and reject any option that cannot complete that sentence. This prevents a nominal discount from becoming an expensive figure you do not actually want to display.

Features: what Thor has and what you must verify
The regular Thor includes a themed base, a removable fabric cloak, and LED-light-up Mjolnir features. Those details explain part of the premium over a simple static figure. The catalog does not establish that the alternatives include equivalent lighting, fabric work, interchangeable parts, or accessory counts.
The Thor DX Bonus Version costs $1,999 and has an edition size of 299. It adds a second head, three swappable left arms, LED effects, and a bonus Mjolnir display model. Those additions make it a feature upgrade for a Thor collector, not a cheaper substitute. If you are deciding between regular and DX, value the parts you will actually display; extra swap-outs have no practical benefit if you will never change the configuration.
For every alternative, obtain a current contents list before paying: number of heads, arms, weapons, lighted components, batteries or power requirements, base sections, and any bonus display models. Do not infer those items from photographs or from another statue in the same product line.

Availability, preorder timing, and delivered cost
The regular Thor page currently shows a waitlist state and an expected November 2026–February 2027 shipment. Master Thyself Kratos shows an expected May–August 2027 window. Other catalog entries can appear as preorder, low stock, or waitlist items, and status can change; check the live product page and your retailer immediately before ordering.

Thor’s listed price is not the same as delivered cost. A retailer shipping notice says shipping is calculated using oversized dimensional weight, so the crate’s size can materially increase freight. Ask for a written shipping estimate to your country, and check whether the quote includes residential delivery, lift-gate service, appointment scheduling, customs handling, and local taxes. The same questions apply to every large statue, even when the item price is lower.
Confirm the currency, deposit amount, balance-due timing, cancellation policy, damage-claim procedure, and whether an expected ship window is an estimate rather than a guaranteed date. A lower sticker price can be offset by freight, tax, or a payment schedule that does not fit your cash flow.

Choose Baldur & Broods when budget is the hard ceiling
Select it if remaining below the Thor price matters more than matching the character or scale. Before ordering, make sure the older design context belongs in your collection and that a 1/4-scale display will not look lost beside your existing pieces.
Choose Kratos & Atreus when furniture is the limiting factor
Select one of the 1/4-scale editions when two characters and a smaller display brief are more useful than a towering single figure. Get the exact edition contents and assembled footprint, because the two-figure composition may have a wider base than the scale label suggests.

Choose Young Kratos when your collection is chronological
Select it for an early-era Kratos display. Ask for the missing shipping, edition, measurement, and accessory details so the decision is based on the actual product rather than a promotional image.
Choose Atreus only when the larger budget is intentional
Select it when completing a premium lineup matters more than saving money. It should be treated as a separate higher-budget purchase, not as a substitute chosen under a Thor-sized ceiling.
Preorder checklist
- Define the brief: Write down the required character, era, scale, maximum footprint, and absolute delivered budget.
- Check the live status: Record whether the page says preorder, waitlist, or low stock and save the stated expected shipping window.
- Verify the specification sheet: Confirm assembled dimensions, weight, edition size, base measurements, and every included part.
- Measure the route: Check doors, stairs, lift capacity, cabinet openings, and the final shelf’s load rating.
- Price delivery properly: Obtain oversized-freight, tax, customs, and appointment-delivery estimates for your destination.
- Read the terms: Confirm deposit, balance date, cancellation rules, replacement policy for transit damage, and what happens if the ship window moves.
- Plan power and maintenance: For LED-equipped pieces, identify the power connection, cable path, switch location, and safe access for batteries or adapters.
- Document the purchase: Keep the invoice, edition description, promised contents, and correspondence so discrepancies can be reported promptly.
Common mistakes and how to avoid them
- Buying by scale alone: A 1/4 or 1/3 label does not reveal the base footprint, weapon reach, or pose. Obtain assembled measurements.
- Comparing sticker prices only: Oversized freight and destination charges can change the ranking. Compare delivered totals.
- Assuming photographs show the final piece: Handmade prototypes may change before production. Treat final specifications as subject to the maker’s stated revisions.
- Ignoring character mismatch: A Kratos or Baldur figure cannot reproduce a Thor-centered display, even if the price is attractive.
- Overlooking timing: A waitlist or long preorder may not meet a birthday, move, or exhibition date. Use the stated window when planning.
- Assuming accessories are interchangeable: LED effects, alternate heads, arms, cloaks, and bonus weapons differ by product. Confirm the contents for the exact edition.
- Skipping delivery access planning: A 55 kg-class shipment requires more than a shelf measurement. Plan the route and lifting help before the carrier arrives.
What is and is not established about these statues
The available information comes from manufacturer and retailer listings. It establishes listed prices, scales, selected edition details, Thor’s published approximate measurements and weight, advertised features, and expected shipping windows where stated. It does not provide an independent paint-quality dataset, durability study, verified resale analysis, or controlled comparison of sculpting and engineering.
Accordingly, the recommendations above are fit-and-budget decisions, not claims that one statue has objectively better paint, durability, or resale performance. Inspect current product photographs, request the latest specification sheet, and ask the seller about any change notices before placing a preorder.
Bottom line
Buy Baldur & Broods for the lowest official entry price, Kratos & Atreus for a more manageable two-character display, and Master Thyself Kratos for the nearest 1/3-scale replacement. Choose Young Kratos when the earlier era is the point, and Atreus only when you are deliberately expanding the budget. If the collection must contain Thor himself, skip the alternatives and decide between the regular and DX Thor on features, availability, and delivered freight—not on the hope that another character will feel equivalent.
