The Revolution 5 Pro remains relevant if you specifically want offset sticks, Hall-effect sticks and triggers, trigger blockers, and extensive customization. Its key PS5 trade-off is that its vibration motors do not work with dedicated PS5 games, according to Nacon.
Why look beyond the Revolution 5 Pro?
Compatibility does not necessarily mean feature parity. Nacon lists the Revolution 5 Pro for PS5, PS4, and PC, but says its two vibration motors work only with PC and PS4 games—not dedicated PS5 titles. That distinction matters if vibration is part of what you expect from a PS5 controller. Nacon’s product page describes the limitation as “(not compatible with dedicated PlayStation®5 games).”
There is also a console-wake caveat: Nacon’s support FAQ says, “You can wake a PlayStation 4 or 5 only with a Sony DualSense controller.” If waking the console from the controller is important, factor that into your choice.

Best for Sony’s native PS5 features: DualSense Edge
Choose the DualSense Edge if keeping Sony’s haptic feedback and adaptive triggers matters as much as adding remapping and profile controls. Sony lists both signature effects alongside a broad set of adjustments:
- Remappable controls and two styles of back buttons.
- Adjustable trigger lengths, stick sensitivity, and dead zones.
- Vibration adjustment and quick-swap profiles.
- Three types of changeable stick caps and replaceable stick modules.
Sony says the Edge stick module can be replaced if it stops working or develops a problem, and sells the module separately. That documented replacement option is useful for ownership planning; it should not be assumed to apply to other controllers without checking their support information.

Best for a modular layout: Victrix Pro BFG Reloaded
Consider the Victrix Pro BFG Reloaded if you want to reconfigure the control layout or use a fightpad. PlayStation Direct identifies it as a PlayStation-licensed Turtle Beach controller for PS5 and PS4, with three customizable Hall-effect modules, including a six-button fightpad module. The listing describes interchangeable D-pads and sticks, a customization tool, wireless transmitter, detachable USB-C cable, and carrying case. Check the regional listing and exact SKU before buying, since package details can vary by model or market.

Razer Wolverine V2 Pro: a licensed option with limited comparison detail
Razer describes the Wolverine V2 Pro as officially licensed by PlayStation, designed for PS5 and PC, and equipped with HyperSpeed Wireless. Those details establish it as a relevant alternative, but they do not provide enough basis here to compare its remapping, module, or replacement features closely with the Edge or Victrix.
What the Revolution 5 Pro still offers
If you are weighing whether to switch at all, Nacon describes the Revolution 5 Pro as an asymmetric controller with magnetic Hall-effect sticks and triggers, trigger blockers, and a PC/Mac configuration application. Its product page lists four profiles per platform, three sets of weights, three stick sizes, and three sets of stick heads, and advertises 60 customization options.

Nacon says its Hall-effect technology eliminates stick drift. Treat that as the manufacturer’s claim, not a guarantee that the controller cannot fail or an independently established performance result.

- Want to change the physical layout? Look at the Victrix Pro BFG Reloaded and its interchangeable modules, including a fightpad.
- Want an officially licensed PS5/PC controller to compare? The Razer Wolverine V2 Pro belongs on the shortlist, but verify its specific controls and features in the current regional product listing.
- Prefer offset sticks and extensive included customization? The Revolution 5 Pro may still suit you; just account for its PS5 vibration limitation and the DualSense requirement for waking the console.
