Use the list below as a shortlist, then confirm the server’s current rules, platform support, Workshop requirements and Discord expectations before downloading anything or committing to a session.

How this 2026 shortlist was made
There is no official Bohemia Interactive directory of recommended community servers. The leading 2026 list comes from third-party rankings that combine community votes with activity. Its top entry shows an update dated October 13, 2026; that date identifies the ranking snapshot, not a verified live player count or a guarantee that every listed server is online when you search.
Server populations, administrators and mod collections can change within hours. A high ranking therefore means “worth checking first,” not “best for every player.” Slot capacity is also not the same as the number of people currently connected. Check the in-game browser, the server’s own rules and any linked community channel immediately before joining.

Best server for each playstyle
For the biggest modded combined-arms battle: Pragmatic, Serhiivka Conflict
The EU/UK 1 Pragmatic, Serhiivka Conflict listing is the most ambitious option in the snapshot: 128 slots, a custom commander system, artillery, attack helicopters, tanks and RHS/WCS equipment. It is the natural first search for players who want a busy, mod-heavy Conflict match rather than the base game’s standard arsenal.
Large mod sets increase the chance of a long download, a missing dependency or a platform restriction. Before joining, read the server’s current Workshop collection and verify that each required item supports your platform. Treat “full crossplay” as the server listing’s claim, not proof that every individual mod works on every console.
For survival PvP and a smaller battlefield: OUTBREAK
[GER/ENG] OUTBREAK is listed as a 40-slot PvP survival server on Everon. Traders and community modifications make it different from ordinary Conflict: survival decisions, equipment access and encounters with other players are central to the appeal. A 40-slot ceiling can also feel more manageable than a 100-plus-slot war, although the listing does not establish how many players are online at a given moment.
Check whether the current rules define trader behavior, safe areas, raids or wipe schedules. Those details can determine whether the server feels like a structured survival game or an unrestricted deathmatch.

For realism and organized teamwork: WORST CASE PARADISE
[WCP – EU/DE] WORST CASE PARADISE is a 96-slot German/EU community focused on realism. The listing describes Conflict (AAS) on Everon, a team-oriented approach and a viewpoint rule: first-person view on foot is limited, while third-person is available inside vehicles.
That rule matters if you normally switch camera perspectives freely. Read the server’s exact enforcement policy before joining, especially if the community uses scheduled events, formations or radio etiquette. A realism server can be a good fit for deliberate squad play and a poor fit for players seeking unrestricted, casual respawns.
For hardcore territorial PvP: VIK Europe Escalation Immersive Hardcore
[GER/EU] VIK Europe Escalation Immersive Hardcore is listed as a 100-slot crossplay server built around hardcore PvP and territorial control. Choose it when the objective is holding ground under pressure rather than simply farming eliminations.
“Hardcore” is a community label, so confirm the practical meaning in the current rules: respawn restrictions, friendly-fire policy, capture conditions, communication requirements and moderation standards are more useful than the name alone.
For unmodded Conflict: Old Young Bastards
[OYB] Old Young Bastards is the clearest choice for players who want vanilla Conflict on Everon. The listing emphasizes crossplay, active administrators, logistics and base building, with large-scale battles using the standard game content.

Because it is unmodded, it removes the largest source of first-session friction: a long Workshop queue or a mod that is unavailable on your console. You still need to read the rules, but the content baseline is easier to understand and troubleshoot.
For cooperative missions and a gentler start: Regiment 9 and CelaV
Regiment 9 – Takistan PvE is described as a modded, milsim-style, crossplay server that welcomes beginners. Its scenario pits players against two AI factions, the Takistani Army and Takistan Guerrillas. It is a strong entry point if learning movement, logistics and combined arms against AI sounds preferable to immediately fighting experienced human squads.
CelaV (GER/AUT), Conflict – Serhiivka PvE offers a smaller 32-slot Russia-versus-NATO cooperative scenario. Select it when you want PvE Conflict in a more compact community setting. The German/Austrian label may indicate the main language or time zone, so check communication expectations before joining.
Older communities worth re-checking, not blindly recommending
Steam discussions from 2024 and 2025 mention several additional communities: Dark GRU was praised by some players for modded servers; one 2025 commenter described 82nd and FOR as having no AI; and Halo milsim groups Operation Daybreak and Battlegroup Athens were described as mostly PvE with modded AI. These comments are old and were not matched against a current server listing.

Opinions about WCS servers were mixed, including one 2025 report of crashes. That is an individual report, not a measured failure rate. If you investigate any of these names, verify the current server entry, mod collection, schedule, language, age policy and recent administrator activity first.

How to find and join a community server
- Open the multiplayer server browser. Launch Arma Reforger, choose multiplayer and open the community server list. Interface wording can differ between PC, Xbox and PlayStation versions.
- Search the exact name. Paste a distinctive part of the listing, such as “Pragmatic,” “OUTBREAK,” “WORST CASE PARADISE,” “VIK Europe,” “OYB,” “Regiment 9” or “CelaV.” Names, tags and punctuation can change, so search a shorter fragment if no result appears.
- Read the server details before selecting Join. Confirm the map, mode, capacity, current player count shown by the browser, password status, language and any Discord or age requirement.
- Review the Workshop requirements. Arma Reforger’s Workshop is separate from Steam’s Workshop. When you join a server that uses mods, the game can download and update those mods automatically through its own Workshop system. Allow time for the complete dependency set, not just the headline mod.
- Check platform tags on every required mod. A server may advertise crossplay while an individual Workshop author restricts a mod to PC or to PC and Xbox. Do not assume that a mod available on PC is available on PlayStation 5.
- Accept the rules and reconnect after updates. A changed mod version, removed dependency or server restart can invalidate a previously working setup. If the browser reports a mismatch, leave the server, let the Workshop finish updating, then try again.
Crossplay: PC, Xbox and PlayStation 5
Community servers can bring PC, Xbox and PlayStation 5 players together, but crossplay is a combination of server settings and mod compatibility. “Crossplay” in a server name does not override a mod author’s platform restriction.
A hosting-company guide reported that PlayStation 5 access to modded servers arrived around Update 1.4 in May 2025. That is secondhand information rather than an official platform-support statement, so use the current game build and the server’s own platform tags as the final check.

For a console player, the safest sequence is:
- Start with a clearly crossplay, vanilla listing such as Old Young Bastards to confirm that the account and network connection work.
- Move to a modded crossplay server only after checking each Workshop item’s supported platforms.
- Expect a different download or storage requirement on console than on PC.
- If a server appears for friends on another platform but not for you, compare filters, region visibility, password status and the server’s mod restrictions before assuming crossplay is broken.
Mods, downloads and common joining problems
The server is visible but joining stops at a mod error
Leave the server and inspect the Workshop queue. A dependency may have failed to download, or the server may have updated while you were connecting. Let all queued items finish, restart the game if the client still reports a version mismatch, and try again.
A required mod is unavailable on console
Look at that mod’s Workshop page and platform tags. Authors can restrict an item to PC or PC/Xbox, which makes a nominally crossplay server inaccessible to some players. Choose a server whose entire collection supports your platform or contact its administrators through the listed community channel.
The server is full or empty
Slot capacity is a ceiling, not a promise of activity. Search again at another time, check the server’s schedule or Discord, and avoid treating a ranking position as a live population statistic. No published population total establishes how many players any of these communities consistently have.

You are kicked or cannot enter without explanation
Read the server rules for age limits, whitelist procedures, password use, language requirements, first-person or third-person restrictions and Discord verification. One Steam discussion specifically raised questions about rules, age limits and Discord requirements; those conditions are common enough to check before troubleshooting your installation.

What to check before committing to a server
- Mode: Decide whether you want PvP, PvE, realism/milsim, survival or standard Conflict.
- Mod burden: Vanilla is quickest to join; modded servers add equipment, factions or systems but require downloads and ongoing synchronization.
- Scale: Compare the listed slot ceiling with your preferred battle size. A 128-slot server and a 32-slot server can produce very different pacing.
- Map: Everon, Serhiivka and Takistan have different terrain and mission rhythms.
- Administration: Look for current evidence of active administrators, clear rules and a way to report problems.
- Communication: Confirm the main language and whether Discord, voice chat or scheduled events are expected.
- Camera and realism rules: Some communities restrict first-person or third-person use, vehicles, radios or other tactical conventions.
- Platform: Verify PC, Xbox and PlayStation 5 support at the server level and for every required mod.
Starting your own Reforger server
If none of the public communities fits your group, Bohemia provides a free dedicated-server build for Windows and Linux. A hosting-company page identifies Steam App 1874900 as that build. Self-hosting still requires a dedicated machine, network administration and a synchronized Workshop mod set.
Minimum planning checklist
- Choose a machine that can remain online for the sessions you want to host.
- Install the dedicated-server build for your operating system.
- Configure the server’s scenario, map, player limit, administrator access and password policy.
- Set up Workshop mod synchronization, especially if PC, Xbox and PlayStation 5 players will connect.
- Forward the ports required by your configuration. One hosting guide lists UDP 2001 and UDP 17777; that guidance is single-sourced and should be checked against current official documentation before opening firewall rules.
- Test with a small group, then publish the exact mod collection and rules so players receive the same versions.
Managed hosting is another route; providers such as XGamingServer, low.ms, GTXGaming and HostHavoc advertise Reforger hosting. Their prices, hardware, support quality and commercial terms were not established here, so compare current plans directly rather than treating a provider name as a recommendation.
Bottom line: where should you start?
Choose Pragmatic for the largest modded combined-arms experience, OUTBREAK for survival PvP, WORST CASE PARADISE for structured realism, VIK for hardcore territorial combat, Old Young Bastards for an uncomplicated vanilla Conflict session, Regiment 9 for beginner-friendly AI warfare, and CelaV for a smaller PvE battle. Re-check every listing when you play: the 2026 ranking is a useful map of communities, not an official endorsement or a permanent guarantee of population, stability or cross-platform access.
