Best Budget GPU for a 4K 60fps YouTube Live Channel in India

The AMD RX 7600 8GB is a credible budget encoder shortlist pick, but encoding a 4K60 stream is not the same as rendering a demanding game at 4K60.

For a budget-conscious YouTube Live setup in India, shortlist the AMD Radeon RX 7600 8GB as an encoder candidate—not as a proven 4K60 gaming card. AMD lists AV1, HEVC and H.264 encoding support, and an India price tracker has RX 7600 board listings below many RTX 4060 listings. Those tracker prices are not guaranteed checkout offers, and the evidence does not establish how either card performs while rendering a demanding game at 4K60. First clarify whether 4K60 describes only your outgoing stream or the game your PC must render as well.

First decide what “4K60” means for your PC

A GPU encoding an already-rendered feed has a different job from a GPU that must also render a demanding game at 4K and 60 frames per second. Dedicated hardware encoding can offload video encoding, but it does not prove the card can render your game at that resolution and frame rate.

  • Encoding an existing feed: The RX 7600 is a reasonable budget shortlist candidate if its supported codec suits your stream and the exact board fits your PC.
  • Gaming and streaming on one PC: Check performance for your specific game, settings and resolution, then test the complete setup. AMD describes the RX 7600 as designed for 1080p gaming and streaming; its encoder support is not evidence of 4K60 gaming performance.

What YouTube requires for a 4K60 live stream

YouTube supports RTMP/RTMPS ingestion, H.264, H.265/HEVC and AV1 video, at frame rates up to 60 fps. Its 2160p60 bitrate guidance differs by codec:

Codec Minimum video bitrate Recommended video bitrate
AV1 or H.265/HEVC 10 Mbps 35 Mbps
H.264 14 Mbps 50 Mbps

These are YouTube Help figures accessed in 2026; a publication date is not stated. Do not treat one bitrate as a universal 4K60 target. Your upload connection must sustain the chosen stream bitrate reliably, with capacity left for normal network variation and other household traffic. NVIDIA’s OBS guidance suggests using roughly 75% of measured upload bandwidth for the stream, but that is vendor guidance—not an ISP guarantee. For YouTube’s 4K60 target, use the codec-specific figures above as your platform reference.

YouTube transcodes a live stream for viewers. It recommends testing with similar audio and movement before going live, since high-motion content can expose bitrate limits that a static scene does not.

GPU shortlist: RX 7600, RTX 4060 or Arc A380

GPU Relevant published information When to consider it
AMD Radeon RX 7600 8GB AMD lists AV1, HEVC and H.264 encoding. It has 8GB GDDR6, 165W typical board power, and AMD recommends a minimum 550W PSU. An India tracker lists board entries around ₹24,500–₹27,595. Best-supported budget shortlist candidate for encoding when the exact local listing and the rest of the PC fit. This does not establish 4K60 game-rendering performance.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 8GB NVIDIA lists 8GB GDDR6 and Ada Lovelace architecture. NVIDIA’s OBS guide discusses AV1 on RTX 40-series cards and YouTube AV1 support. An India tracker lists board entries around ₹28,000–₹34,500. Consider if you prefer NVIDIA’s OBS workflow or need other NVIDIA software features. The available price evidence does not establish that it is better or worse value for every board listing.
Intel Arc A380 Intel’s product guide presents AV1 streaming and describes use in a dedicated streaming rig or as a secondary encoding card. A specialized encoder possibility. Current India pricing, stock and suitability for rendering and encoding a game at 4K on the same PC are not established by the available information.

The tracker figures are a 2026 snapshot, not guaranteed sale prices. Board variants may differ, and the listings do not confirm checkout availability, delivery costs or warranty terms. Check the exact offer before buying; do not assume the lowest tracker entry is available or the best complete deal.

How to choose the right card and stream settings

  1. Confirm the workload. Decide whether the GPU only encodes a feed or must also render a game at 4K60. For same-PC gaming, look for evidence specific to your game and intended settings; encoder capability alone cannot answer that question.
  2. Choose a codec your encoder and workflow support. The RX 7600 supports AV1, HEVC and H.264 encoding according to AMD. NVIDIA’s OBS guide lists AV1 for RTX 40-series cards. Match your encoder setting to YouTube’s accepted codecs and the bitrate guidance above.
  3. Set the stream to the intended output. For 4K at 60 fps, use 2160p and 60 fps in your encoder, then set a bitrate appropriate to the chosen codec. YouTube’s recommendations are 35 Mbps for AV1 or HEVC and 50 Mbps for H.264.
  4. Check the whole PC and connection. For the RX 7600, AMD specifies 165W typical board power and recommends at least a 550W PSU. Confirm the specific card’s power connectors, physical dimensions and case clearance, plus the PSU’s condition and available connections. These values do not substitute for checking the exact board.
  5. Test before the broadcast. Run the intended game or content with representative movement and audio. Watch YouTube’s stream health and the local encoder for dropped frames, encoding overload or network instability. Change one setting at a time and retest.

NVIDIA describes NVENC as operating independently of graphics/CUDA cores, which can offload encoding work. That does not remove the need to test rendering performance, stream stability and the actual output quality on your own PC.

India buying checklist

  • Compare the exact board model and seller, not just “RX 7600” or “RTX 4060.”
  • Verify current stock, delivered price, warranty coverage and return terms at checkout; tracker entries do not establish them.
  • Check PSU capacity and connections, card dimensions, case clearance and cooling.
  • If you stream games, evaluate the GPU for the game and settings you will actually use at 4K60.
  • Check measured upload bandwidth at the place and time you will stream, then test at the target codec, resolution, frame rate and bitrate.

Common problems and what to check

YouTube stream health reports unstable or insufficient bitrate

Check whether your connection can sustain the selected codec’s 4K60 bitrate, and whether other devices or applications are using upload capacity. NVIDIA suggests allocating roughly 75% of measured upload bandwidth to a stream; treat this as guidance, not a guarantee. Retest over the connection you will use for the live broadcast.

The stream is choppy even though encoding is enabled

Separate rendering and encoding symptoms. If the game itself is struggling, reduce its rendering load or settings and test again; hardware encoding does not make a GPU render a demanding game faster. If the encoder reports overload, test a less demanding output configuration and check the encoder’s status during representative gameplay.

The picture breaks up during fast action

High-motion scenes can show artifacts when bitrate is constrained. Check the codec and bitrate against YouTube’s 4K60 recommendations, then test fast movement rather than judging quality from a static screen.

The card does not fit or the PC will not power reliably

Confirm the exact board’s dimensions, connectors and power requirements before purchase. For the RX 7600, AMD’s product specifications list 165W typical board power and recommend a minimum 550W PSU; also check the rest of the system and the specific board design.

Or let it run in the cloud

If your goal is to keep uploaded videos playing as a 24/7 YouTube stream, rather than broadcast a live game rendered on your PC, StreamNeo is a cloud alternative: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. Your computer and home connection do not have to stay on. It streams the uploaded video as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one price per slot regardless of quality, and automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly pricing is $9.99 per month. StreamNeo is for YouTube streams of uploaded videos, not camera broadcasts. See StreamNeo or start the free day.
