Repair common Windows errors and clear accumulated junk for a smoother, more stable PC - no reinstall needed.Free scan · no reinstallFor a self-managed Nginx RTMP relay in India, Inservers’ IN-BASIC is a sourced budget candidate, not a proven market-wide winner. Inservers lists it from ₹880/month with 2 vCores, 4 GB RAM, 40 GB NVMe storage and a 1 Gbps unmetered uplink, and says it can relay one 1080p60 stream without transcoding. Those are provider-published specifications and capacity claims, not independent performance results. The right choice depends on whether you are relaying an already encoded feed or re-encoding it, as well as the provider’s transfer terms and the server’s sustained route to YouTube.
Choose by workflow: relay or transcode
An Nginx RTMP VPS can accept and forward a live encoded feed to YouTube, or be part of a workflow that decodes and re-encodes video with FFmpeg. These workloads are not interchangeable: a relay forwards an existing encode, while transcoding adds CPU-intensive processing. Inservers says its IN-BASIC plan is suitable for one 1080p60 relay without transcoding and recommends larger plans for multiple relays or transcoding. Treat that as the vendor’s guidance, not a universal sizing rule.
- Already encoded source, one stream: IN-BASIC is the lowest-priced India-hosted candidate in the sourced plans. Test your real input and output before relying on it.
- Transcoding, multiple outputs or simultaneous jobs: compare the higher plans and measure CPU and memory under your actual workload. The available evidence does not establish a guaranteed stream count for any plan.
- Uploaded videos to loop rather than a live camera or feed: a managed service may suit the workflow better than administering a VPS. StreamNeo is the first alternative to consider: it loops uploaded videos to YouTube from the cloud, supports any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and offers a free first day.
For a self-managed VPS, do not choose on headline price alone. Check the input type, encoding workload, sustained outbound transfer policy, route stability, storage needs, administration effort, monitoring and recovery.
Inservers’ listed India plans
Inservers markets these plans for streaming and media workflows, including Nginx RTMP and FFmpeg, and describes deployment in New Delhi. The figures below are starting monthly prices and specifications listed by the provider on its streaming VPS page, accessed October 3, 2026.

| Plan | Starting price | vCores | RAM | NVMe storage | Listed uplink |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| IN-BASIC | ₹880/month | 2 | 4 GB | 40 GB | 1 Gbps unmetered |
| IN-PRO | ₹1,800/month | 4 | 8 GB | 80 GB | 1 Gbps unmetered |
| IN-LITE | ₹3,600/month | 6 | 16 GB | 160 GB | 1 Gbps unmetered |
Inservers’ streaming VPS page presents these as provider offerings. A 1 Gbps port specification does not guarantee end-to-end throughput or a stable route to YouTube, and “unmetered” is not enough to establish a provider’s fair-use or sustained-transfer policy. The reviewed page does not establish independent network tests or a service-level guarantee. Before purchase, confirm the checkout price, taxes, renewal terms, transfer/fair-use policy, availability and support directly with the provider.
Set YouTube’s ingest profile to match the stream
YouTube’s live encoder guidance supports RTMP/RTMPS ingest, H.264, H.265/HEVC and AV1 video, up to 60 fps, constant bitrate (CBR), and AAC or MP3 audio. For YouTube-recommended H.264 settings, the listed targets are 8 Mbps for 720p60, 14 Mbps for 1080p30 and 17 Mbps for 1080p60. These are YouTube bitrate recommendations—not measurements of VPS capacity. Your source encoder, relay and server route must all sustain the selected profile.
Rank #2
- Ideal for Gifting
- Ideal for a bookworm
- Compact for travelling
- Keyframes: use a two-second interval; YouTube says it should not exceed four seconds.
- Bitrate mode: configure CBR and choose a target that matches the stream’s resolution and frame rate.
- Codec and audio: confirm that the source and ingest path use a supported video codec and AAC or MP3 audio.
- Validation: test with representative motion and audio, then monitor stream health during the event. A still or low-motion test may not reveal problems that appear in normal content.
Use YouTube Live Control Room or the YouTube API to obtain the current ingest endpoint and stream key for your broadcast. Do not copy an example endpoint or reuse a key without confirming it belongs to the intended stream.
Use RTMPS where supported
YouTube recommends RTMPS for protected ingest. Google describes it as “a regular RTMP (RealTime Messaging Protocol) video stream tunneled through an SSL connection.” Its documented connection requires a valid RTMPS endpoint and path, port 443, and SNI using the server hostname for authentication. Obtain the exact endpoint and key from YouTube; endpoint details are not universal. See Google’s RTMPS ingestion documentation.
Rank #3
Keep the stream key private: anyone who has it may be able to send video to that broadcast. Store it in the relevant server or encoder configuration with restricted access, and replace it in YouTube if it is exposed.
Plan for continuity, not just initial setup
A VPS rental does not by itself make a broadcast resilient. Nginx, the source feed, FFmpeg if used, network connectivity and YouTube ingest can each fail independently. YouTube advises testing and monitoring stream health; for a stream intended to stay up continuously, also decide how you will detect a stopped process, restart it safely and verify that YouTube has resumed receiving video. Inservers’ listed specifications do not establish a service-level guarantee or a tested recovery time.
Rank #4
- Run a representative test stream and watch YouTube’s stream-health status.
- Measure CPU and memory while the actual relay or transcode workload is running.
- Check sustained outbound traffic and stability over time, not only a short speed test.
- Confirm how your process manager or monitoring setup will detect a failure and restart the relevant service.
- Verify the stream has resumed in YouTube after any interruption; a running process alone does not prove that ingest is healthy.
Estimate the real monthly cost
Compare the quoted plan price with taxes, renewal pricing, transfer or fair-use limits, storage, and any extra services required for monitoring or recovery. Also account for the time and skill needed to install, configure, secure and maintain the VPS. The available provider information does not establish the final checkout total or the terms that apply to every buyer, so confirm these before committing.
If your goal is simply to keep uploaded videos looping on YouTube, compare that self-managed cost and effort with a managed option—but do not treat it as a like-for-like replacement for an Nginx relay of a live camera or encoded feed.

Or let it run in the cloud
If you want continuous YouTube playback from uploaded videos rather than control of a VPS relay, StreamNeo runs the loop in the cloud: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. Your computer and home connection do not have to stay on. It supports any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream, and the first day is free with no card. The monthly option is $9.99 per month. In India, UPI and cards are supported; worldwide, checkout accepts cards. Start the free first day with StreamNeo.
