For prerecorded sleep-sounds videos, StreamNeo is the simplest option to try first: upload a recording or playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and let it loop from the cloud. For a VPS you administer yourself, the provider-listed entry offers worth comparing are NivoHost’s Windows RDP plan at ₹699/month and Inservers’ Linux VPS from ₹880/month. These are provider specifications, not independently tested performance results; the right choice depends on your intended quality, bitrate, traffic terms, and preferred operating system.

Which option fits a 24/7 sleep-sounds stream?

Option Best fit What to keep in mind
StreamNeo Creators looping uploaded recordings or playlists who do not want to manage a server. It runs the stream in the cloud and is YouTube-only. One flat price per slot applies at any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps; the first day is free with no card.
NivoHost RDP 1 A budget Windows remote desktop workflow; provider-listed for one stream handle at 360p/10 fps. The provider markets it for continuous YouTube streaming. Its uptime and automatic-restart statements are provider claims, not independent confirmation of round-the-clock continuity.
Inservers IN-BASIC A Linux server workflow for users comfortable configuring a VPS or RTMP relay. The provider lists 2 vCores, 4 GB RAM, and a claimed unmetered 1 Gbps uplink. Verify what “unmetered” means in its terms.

Neither VPS listing establishes that a particular sleep-sounds setup will stay stable indefinitely. A port speed, restart feature, or uptime claim is not a substitute for checking the service terms and monitoring the stream.

Provider-listed budget VPS plans

NivoHost RDP 1: Windows, one listed stream handle

NivoHost lists its RDP 1 plan at ₹699/month, with tax included. Its published specifications include 2 CPU cores, 4 GB RAM, 40 GB SSD, 20 TB bandwidth, a 1 Gbps port, one stream handle, 360p at 10 fps, and listed audio quality of 124 kbps. The provider markets this tier for 24/7 YouTube streaming.

The same provider page claims 99% uptime and automatic restart. Treat both as provider statements: check the applicable SLA, what triggers a restart, whether the feature is included in the plan you buy, and what recovery looks like if YouTube or the server connection drops. The listed 360p/10 fps configuration is not equivalent to a higher-resolution stream.

Inservers IN-BASIC: Linux, entry streaming VPS

Inservers lists its IN-BASIC plan from ₹880/month, with 2 vCores, 4 GB RAM, 40 GB NVMe SSD, and a claimed unmetered 1 Gbps uplink. The provider markets its Linux VPS for streaming and RTMP relay. Confirm the acceptable-use policy and billing terms behind “unmetered,” and whether your workflow requires a relay, an encoder, or both.

Inservers notes that CPU needs rise for transcoding. Relaying an already encoded feed and decoding, processing, or re-encoding media are different workloads, so do not assume an entry VPS can handle every video-processing setup.

NivoHost’s higher listed tiers

NivoHost also lists higher monthly tiers: ₹999 for 480p/15 fps, ₹1,799 for 720p/30 fps, and ₹3,499 for 1080p/60 fps. The provider lists different resources and stream-handle counts across these plans. Those specifications do not independently establish that a given configuration will run reliably.

Choose the stream quality before choosing a VPS

Sleep-sounds streams may be mostly static, but the audio still needs to remain continuous and the stream must meet YouTube’s ingestion requirements. First decide whether the stream includes a moving visual, what resolution and frame rate you need, and whether your media is already encoded. Then compare the VPS plan with the actual encoder or relay workload rather than choosing by port speed alone.

YouTube’s official encoder guidance is to choose a quality that can be sustained by the connection. For H.264, its listed recommended bitrates include:

Video configuration YouTube-listed H.264 recommendation
360p at 30 fps 3 Mbps
480p at 30 fps 4 Mbps
720p at 30 fps 8 Mbps
1080p at 30 fps 10 Mbps

These are YouTube recommendations for the configurations shown, not guarantees about what a particular VPS plan can sustain. Recommendations vary by codec and frame rate; consult YouTube’s live encoder settings for the exact configuration you intend to use. YouTube lists RTMP/RTMPS ingestion, H.264, H.265 or AV1, constant bitrate encoding, and a recommended two-second keyframe interval (not over four seconds); it recommends RTMPS for encrypted ingestion.

Check bandwidth, traffic, and continuity terms

  • Monthly transfer: NivoHost lists 20 TB of bandwidth for RDP 1. Inservers describes its uplink as unmetered, but you should check the applicable policy and billing terms. A fast port and a monthly transfer allowance are different constraints.
  • Connection headroom: YouTube says total stream bitrate should not exceed available upload capacity and recommends 20% headroom. Its guidance also warns that network disruption can break a stream. Consider sustained connectivity and route quality to YouTube ingest, not just the advertised 1 Gbps port.
  • Recovery: Ask what happens if the encoder process stops, the VPS reboots, the network drops, or YouTube ends the ingest connection. Get the applicable recovery and support commitments in writing; do not treat marketing claims as proof of uninterrupted operation.
  • Total recurring cost: Confirm renewal pricing, tax, billing term, transfer charges, software or licensing costs, and what technical support covers. The provider listings do not settle every checkout or renewal condition.

Set up and test a VPS before relying on it

  1. Choose the workflow and plan. Decide whether you need a Windows remote desktop, a Linux relay, or server-side video processing. Match the selected plan’s stream handles, resources, and traffic terms to your actual configuration.
  2. Prepare a representative stream. Use the sleep-sounds audio and any intended visual, rather than testing with a silent or unusually light sample. YouTube recommends testing with representative audio and motion.
  3. Configure the encoder or relay. Use a YouTube-supported ingestion protocol and codec, constant bitrate, and the recommended keyframe interval for your selected setup. Enter the stream key only in the software or service that needs it; keep it private.
  4. Run a test and inspect YouTube stream health. Check that the audio is present, the image behaves as intended, and the connection has bitrate headroom. YouTube recommends testing upload bitrate and monitoring stream health during the event.
  5. Test recovery deliberately. Find out whether your process resumes after an encoder or server restart and whether a dropped YouTube connection requires you to start a new broadcast or ingest. Do not commit a channel to a continuous stream until you understand the recovery path.

Understand YouTube’s archive limit separately from live continuity

YouTube says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived and warns that streams exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all. This is an archive limitation, not a universal maximum live-session duration. If keeping a recording matters, plan a separate recording or archive workflow rather than assuming a very long broadcast will be saved.

Use sleep-sounds media you have rights to stream

Make sure you have the necessary rights to the audio, visuals, and any samples or ambient recordings in your stream. A VPS or looping service does not grant music or recording rights. YouTube’s copyright and monetization decisions are separate from whether a stream can technically run; review the platform’s applicable policies and use content you are authorized to broadcast.

Or let it run in the cloud

If your sleep-sounds stream uses prerecorded media, StreamNeo avoids administering a VPS: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. The cloud keeps the YouTube stream running with your computer off. Each slot includes one always-on stream, 10 GB storage pooled across active slots, 24/7 looping and playlists, automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream, and StreamNeo team support.

There is no quality tier: uploaded video streams as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one flat price per slot. StreamNeo offers a free first day with no card, then short or long billing options you can cancel any time: a day, a week, a month, six months, or a year. UPI and cards are supported in India; card checkout is available worldwide. For five or more slots, contact support. StreamNeo streams uploaded videos to YouTube; it does not go live from a camera.

Monthly: $9.99 per month. See StreamNeo for details, or start the free first day.

Verdict

For a hands-off prerecorded sleep-sounds stream, try StreamNeo first: it runs from the cloud, supports uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one price per slot, and includes a free first day. If you specifically want to administer a VPS, NivoHost is the more directly marketed low-cost Windows starting point, while Inservers is a Linux alternative. Compare their terms against your intended settings, then test the stream and its recovery behavior before relying on either for continuous broadcasting.
