Windows Errors? Fix Them Before They Spread

Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteFor a simple, single-source YouTube stream, an Intel N100 Windows mini PC is a sensible budget category to shortlist—not a proven 24/7 recommendation. Intel lists Quick Sync Video on the N100, but that alone does not establish how a specific mini PC will perform in OBS, stay cool, or run reliably for long sessions. Check the exact system against your stream workload, cooling, network, power backup, warranty and current India price before buying.
If the goal is simply to keep uploaded videos playing as a YouTube live stream, a computer does not have to run at home: StreamNeo loops uploaded videos from the cloud. Details are below, after the do-it-yourself PC guidance.
Is an N100 mini PC enough for a 24/7 stream?
It may suit a basic, single-source stream, but the label “24/7” does not define the workload. A static or straightforward prerecorded-video stream is different from gaming, several capture inputs, complex OBS scenes, high-resolution/high-frame-rate output, or multiple simultaneous streams. Those heavier jobs may call for a stronger Intel Core or AMD Ryzen system, or a compatible discrete GPU.
Intel’s current N100 specification lists four cores and four threads, turbo frequency up to 3.40 GHz, Intel UHD Graphics, Quick Sync Video, and maximum memory of 16 GB. Quick Sync makes the N100 relevant for hardware-encoding consideration; it is not a sustained OBS benchmark or a guarantee that an individual mini PC can encode continuously. MSI India’s Cubi N ADL product family is one example of an N-series mini-PC category; MSI states a 6 W TDP for the stated configuration. That figure is not measured whole-system power consumption while streaming.

#1 Best Overall
No current India street-price comparison, winning exact SKU, independent 24/7 endurance test, or whole-system OBS power measurement is established here. Avoid treating any one model as the “best” without checking its exact configuration and evidence for your workload.
What to compare before buying
Shortlist exact systems by the stream you intend to send, rather than CPU name alone. Confirm these points with the manufacturer or seller before ordering:
- Encoding fit: The codec, resolution and frame rate you plan to use must be supported by the PC’s hardware encoder and software/driver stack.
- Long-session cooling: Look for credible evidence about sustained operation and thermal behavior. A processor specification does not establish how a particular chassis handles hours or days of encoding.
- Memory and storage: Check the actual RAM and drive configuration, not just the product-family headline. Leave enough storage for recordings, media and any local backups.
- Network: Check Ethernet ports and Wi-Fi options. Prefer wired Ethernet for a fixed streaming setup where practical.
- Power use: Compare system-level consumption under a representative encoding load if energy cost matters; a component’s TDP is not the same measurement.
- India ownership details: Verify the current price, genuine Windows licence, exact CPU/RAM/storage, ports, return terms, warranty and local serviceability for that SKU.

Set YouTube and encoder settings for the stream
YouTube’s current live-encoder guidance supports RTMP/RTMPS ingestion and lists H.264, H.265 (HEVC) and AV1 video options, up to 60 fps. It recommends constant bitrate encoding and a two-second keyframe interval; do not exceed four seconds. Confirm that the chosen codec is supported by your encoder and PC before building the workflow around it.

H.264 bitrate recommendations
YouTube’s undated live-encoder help page, accessed in 2026, gives these recommended H.264 bitrates. They are platform recommendations, not guaranteed minimum internet speeds.
| Output | YouTube-recommended H.264 bitrate |
|---|---|
| 1080p60 | 17 Mbps |
| 1080p30 | 14 Mbps |
| 720p60 | 8 Mbps |
| 720p30 | 6 Mbps |
Use YouTube’s live encoder settings, bitrates and resolutions as the authoritative reference when configuring the encoder, and recheck it because platform guidance can change.

Plan upload capacity and connection resilience
Available upload capacity must exceed the stream’s total bitrate. YouTube recommends 20% additional capacity above the combined primary and backup stream bitrate where applicable, and warns that network disruption could break the stream. A bitrate recommendation is therefore not an upload-speed target by itself.
- Test sustained upload at the times and under the conditions the stream will actually run, rather than relying only on a plan’s advertised maximum.
- Use wired Ethernet where practical, and decide whether a backup internet path is worth the cost and complexity for your channel.
- If sending a backup stream, include its bitrate when checking the total capacity and 20% headroom.
YouTube discusses network requirements and stream resilience in its live streaming guidance. No particular Indian ISP’s availability or performance is established here.
Prepare for power, restarts and encoder failures
A PC cannot by itself guarantee a continuous broadcast. YouTube recommends configuring the encoder in advance, checking the preview, monitoring audio and video quality, reviewing stream-health messages, and verifying the archive. Its guidance also recommends testing failover by stopping the primary encoder or disconnecting its Ethernet link. Build and test a recovery procedure before relying on unattended operation.

Use a UPS for short power interruptions
A UPS for both the PC and router can bridge brief power cuts if it is sized for the combined measured load and the runtime you need. Do not infer an outage duration from the UPS category alone. A UPS will not solve an ISP outage unless the networking equipment has backup power and an alternate connection is available.
Test the failure modes that matter
- Power loss and the steps needed to restart the PC, encoder and stream.
- Internet interruption, including whether a backup connection is available and how failover works.
- Windows updates or unexpected restarts, and whether the encoder is configured to reopen safely.
- Encoder crashes, source-media errors and audio/video problems that may not be obvious from the PC’s status alone.
- Stream-key handling: keep the key private and make sure the person responsible for recovery can access it securely.
YouTube’s live streaming guidance covers setup, monitoring and failover checks. Neither a UPS nor a mini PC guarantees uninterrupted internet or streaming service.

If you are streaming uploaded videos rather than a live camera or gaming feed, StreamNeo is an alternative to leaving a Windows PC running: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, then go live. It loops the uploaded videos from the cloud, so nothing has to stay powered on at home. It is for YouTube only.

Common problems and what to check
| Symptom | Likely area to check | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Stream drops when the PC appears capable | Upload stability, available bandwidth or encoder/network interruption | Check YouTube stream-health messages, test sustained upload, account for the recommended 20% headroom and test your failover procedure. |
| Video stutters or quality is inconsistent | Encoder settings, system load or network conditions | Verify codec support, constant bitrate and keyframe interval; test with representative audio and movement, then monitor the preview and stream health. |
| The system works initially but becomes unreliable over a long session | Cooling, updates, restarts, encoder crashes or other system-specific issues | Check the exact PC’s sustained-operation evidence and cooling; test restart and recovery steps instead of assuming the processor specification proves continuous reliability. |
| Brief power cuts end the stream | PC and router lose power together | Size a UPS from their combined measured load and desired runtime; arrange alternate internet separately if needed. |
Copyright and channel-policy checks
A technically stable stream can still face rights or channel-policy problems. Before looping music, gameplay, broadcasts or other third-party material, make sure you have the rights and permissions needed for live streaming and any resulting archive. Review YouTube’s current rules for live content and monetization rather than assuming that prerecorded material is automatically eligible or safe to reuse. A reliable PC or cloud loop does not grant content rights.
