Pairing her with another Anomaly agent creates opportunities for Disorder, but there is no single best team for every roster or encounter.

| Slot 6 main stat | Energy Regen or Anomaly Mastery | Icy Veins favors Energy Regen, while Prydwen lists Anomaly Mastery. The better fit depends on team energy and whether Burnice can maintain Heat comfortably. |
| W-Engine | Flamemaker Shaker; alternatives include Electro-Lip Gloss or Weeping Gemini | Prydwen’s full-team calculation context ranks Flamemaker Shaker first and notes its off-field Energy Regen can help with Heat management. Which Drive Discs should Burnice use?
Four-piece Chaos Jazz
Chaos Jazz is the leading set recommendation in Icy Veins’ version 3.1 build guide. Its two-piece bonus adds 30 Anomaly Proficiency. The four-piece effect increases Fire and Electric DMG and improves damage from off-field EX Specials and Assist Attacks—effects that suit a Burnice who applies damage while another agent is active.

Main stats and substats
- Slot 4: Anomaly Proficiency.
- Slot 5: PEN Ratio or Fire DMG.
- Slot 6: Energy Regen or Anomaly Mastery, depending on the team’s energy needs and Burnice’s Heat uptime.
- Substats: Prioritize Anomaly Proficiency, then ATK%, PEN, and ATK, following Icy Veins’ ordering.
Slot 6 is the main point of disagreement between the cited build guides: Prydwen recommends Anomaly Mastery, while Icy Veins ranks Energy Regen ahead of Anomaly Mastery and ATK%. Use Energy Regen when your rotation struggles to sustain Heat; if energy is already sufficient, Anomaly Mastery is the other supported choice.

Best W-Engines for Burnice
Flamemaker Shaker
Prydwen places Flamemaker Shaker first in its build comparison, using a full-team calculation context that includes Alice and Yuzuha. Its guide highlights off-field Energy Regen as useful for Heat management. That context matters: a ranking derived with particular teammates is not a promise that the same option wins in every account or rotation.

Electro-Lip Gloss and Weeping Gemini
Icy Veins describes Electro-Lip Gloss as a strong four-star option and Weeping Gemini as the free-to-play choice. The guides do not establish a universal performance gap among these options across all teams, so weigh their recommendations against the W-Engines you actually own and whether Burnice’s energy loop is working.
Which skills should you prioritize?
Icy Veins emphasizes Burnice’s Core Skill, EX Special Attack, and Ultimate ahead of Dodge or Basic Attack investment. This priority reflects her Heat and off-field damage role; it is a guide recommendation rather than an official HoYoverse ranking. See the Icy Veins build guide.
How Burnice’s off-field loop works
Burnice gains Heat by spending energy and using her Ultimate. At the required threshold, she enters Nitro-Fuel Cocktail; her hits then apply Scorched, allowing squad members’ attacks to trigger Afterburn damage while she is off-field. Repeated Afterburn triggers or Mixed Flame Blend can build Emberflow, which supports an empowered return to the field. These mechanics and the rotation below are described in Icy Veins’ version 3.1 guide, updated July 28, 2026.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches- Use a Defensive Assist when the opportunity arises.
- Follow with Assist Follow-Up and EX Special to spend energy and build Heat.
- Once Burnice has activated Nitro-Fuel Cocktail, let the active teammate attack to trigger Afterburn while she is off-field.
- Swap Burnice in when active Anomaly effects and Emberflow make her return valuable.
Treat this as a guide’s rotation outline, not a fixed script: the timing depends on the encounter, your teammates, and how quickly the team generates energy and Anomaly buildup.

Burnice is especially suited to teams with another Anomaly damage dealer. Their separate Anomaly applications can create Disorder opportunities, while Burnice continues to contribute Afterburn damage off-field. Icy Veins’ team guide, updated for version 3.1 on July 28, 2026, lists these examples:
| Second damage dealer | Support or third teammate options | Listed compositions |
|---|---|---|
| Alice | Remielle Dan; Yuzuha | Alice / Burnice / Remielle Dan; Alice / Burnice / Yuzuha |
| Jane | Remielle Dan; Yuzuha; Lucy | Jane / Burnice / Remielle Dan; Jane / Burnice / Yuzuha; Jane / Burnice / Lucy |
| Yanagi | Yuzuha | Yanagi / Burnice / Yuzuha |
| Piper | Remielle Dan; Yuzuha; Lucy | Piper / Burnice / Remielle Dan; Piper / Burnice / Yuzuha; Piper / Burnice / Lucy |
Icy Veins’ team composition and synergy guide also cautions that stage and boss buffs can change which lineup is best. Prydwen’s Burnice build calculations use Alice and Yuzuha as team context, another reason to read equipment comparisons in light of the party they assume.
Quick Recap
How to choose a team for your roster
- Check the damage partner: Prefer an Anomaly agent when you want the team to create Disorder opportunities.
- Check the support: Use a support that activates Burnice’s additional ability and offers useful buffs for the team.
- Check the rotation: Choose teammates that let Burnice maintain Heat and distribute Anomaly buildup rather than leaving her energy-starved or forcing awkward field time.
- Check the encounter: Boss and stage buffs can shift the better lineup, so treat listed teams as supported options, not a fixed tier list.
