The “up to $690 off” Acer gaming PC deal was reported in October 2025, not verified as a current offer. Best Buy’s October 2026 listings show different Acer RTX 50 products and configurations, so check the exact model and checkout price before treating any listing as the same deal.
What the $690-off headline referred to
HotHardware published the matching headline on October 6, 2025. Its report described an Acer Nitro 60 desktop with an Intel Core i5-14400F, GeForce RTX 5060, 64GB of RAM and a 4TB SSD, bundled with a 1TB docking station. The reported Best Buy price was $1,599, with a stated $690 saving. HotHardware’s October 2025 report
Those figures are historical. They do not establish that the same configuration, bundle or discount is available now. HotHardware also disclosed that it had not tested the Nitro 60 itself, so its deal report is not an independent performance review.
What the current examples show
Best Buy search results crawled October 8, 2026 show an Acer Nitro V laptop with a Core 7 240H processor, RTX 5060, 16GB of memory and 512GB of storage listed at $1,149.99, with $480 in listed savings and a Techtober Deal label. This is a laptop, not the Nitro 60 desktop in the 2025 headline. Best Buy Acer gaming laptop results

How to compare Acer RTX 50 offers
“RTX 50” identifies a graphics-card generation, not a single performance level. A laptop RTX 5060 and a desktop RTX 5070 Ti are not interchangeable deal comparisons, and the named listings also differ in processor, memory and storage.

- Graphics card: distinguish the exact GPU model and whether it is in a laptop or desktop.
- Processor, memory and storage: compare the listed CPU, installed RAM and drive capacity. The cited examples range from 16GB memory and 512GB storage to 64GB and 4TB.
- Laptop screen or desktop bundle: check laptop display specifications, or whether a desktop price includes accessories such as the docking station reported with the 2025 Nitro 60.
- Seller and checkout total: verify who is selling the product and the price shown at checkout. A savings badge or stated regular price is not an independent performance measure or guarantee of the item’s value.
Check the listing before buying
Retail prices, stock, sale labels and pickup dates can change. Confirm the live Best Buy product page and checkout details immediately before purchase; search results and deal roundups are snapshots. The October 2026 examples show a broader event spanning gaming laptops and desktops as well as monitors and peripherals, but that does not make every Acer configuration part of the same offer.
