For a turnkey way to keep prerecorded video live on YouTube, start with StreamNeo or Gyre; for a custom cloud video pipeline, consider AWS Elemental MediaLive or Google Cloud Live Stream API. StreamNeo keeps uploaded videos looping from the cloud, supports up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and offers a free first day. YouTube’s encoder guidance specifically names Gyre for 24/7 prerecorded streaming. AWS and Google Cloud provide configurable video-processing components, but their documented workflows are not turnkey file-to-YouTube looping services.

Which service should you choose?

Rank and service What it does Best fit Main qualification
1. StreamNeo Loops uploaded videos to a YouTube channel from the cloud. Supports any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps for one flat price per slot. Creators who want a hosted, purpose-built way to keep a prerecorded YouTube stream running without leaving a computer on. StreamNeo is for YouTube, not other streaming platforms. It plays uploaded videos rather than broadcasting a live camera feed.
2. Gyre YouTube’s encoder help page describes Gyre as a cloud-based tool for 24/7 live streaming of prerecorded videos. Creators looking for a hosted service explicitly listed by YouTube for this use case. The YouTube listing does not establish Gyre’s current prices, limits, reliability terms, or scheduling details.
3. AWS Elemental MediaLive AWS describes MediaLive as a cloud-based broadcast video-processing service, and YouTube lists it as a verified encoder. Teams that need configurable live encoding and can build and operate the surrounding workflow. AWS’s reviewed documentation does not establish MediaLive by itself as a prerecorded-file loop that publishes directly to YouTube.
4. Google Cloud Live Stream API Accepts RTMP or SRT input and transcodes it to HLS or DASH outputs. Teams building a cloud video pipeline or integrating with Google Cloud. HLS or DASH output is not the same as a direct YouTube encoder feed. Extra components may be needed to loop a file and deliver it to YouTube.

StreamNeo and Gyre are the closest hosted fits for a creator who wants to upload prerecorded media and keep a YouTube channel live. AWS and Google Cloud are building blocks rather than clearly documented, ready-made looping services. The right choice depends on whether you want to operate a pipeline yourself, what output quality you need, how you will recover from failures, and the full cost of the intended workflow.

1. StreamNeo: a hosted option for looping uploaded videos

StreamNeo is a cloud service from Yorker Media for keeping a YouTube channel live from uploaded videos. Upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live; StreamNeo loops the content in the cloud, so your computer and home connection do not need to stay on. Every slot includes one always-on stream, 10 GB of storage per slot pooled across active slots, playlists and 24/7 looping, automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream, and support from the StreamNeo team. The same features apply on every plan; only the billing period changes.

StreamNeo’s pricing options are Daily $0.99 per day · Weekly $2.99 per week · Monthly $9.99 per month · 6 months $49.99 for 6 months · Yearly $89.99 a year. Visitors see pricing in their applicable currency. UPI and cards are accepted in India; card checkout is available worldwide. You can cancel any time, and creators needing five or more slots can contact support.

  • Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
  • Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
  • Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
  • Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
  • 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.

Try StreamNeo if you want the stream to run without maintaining your own encoder workflow. Its first day is free with no card required, with one free day per account.

2. Gyre: a purpose-built option named by YouTube

YouTube’s official encoder help page identifies Gyre as “a cloud-based tool for 24/7 live streaming of pre-recorded videos on YouTube.” That makes it a direct use-case match, rather than a general-purpose transcoding service that would need other workflow components.

The listing alone does not tell you the current price, supported file and playlist workflow, service limits, recovery behavior, or reliability commitments. Check those details with Gyre before choosing it, especially if an uninterrupted channel is operationally important. The YouTube listing is not evidence of a price advantage or a guarantee that a stream will never stop.

3. AWS Elemental MediaLive: configurable cloud encoding

AWS describes MediaLive as a cloud-based, broadcast-grade video-processing service, and YouTube includes it among verified encoders. AWS’s documented live-streaming reference architecture combines MediaLive with MediaPackage and MediaConnect in supported regions. This can suit a team that needs to configure and maintain a broader video pipeline.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

The reviewed AWS documentation does not say that MediaLive alone takes an uploaded file, loops it continuously, and publishes it directly to YouTube. Before choosing this route, determine how the file will be looped, how the encoder output will reach YouTube, how the workflow will restart after a failure, and which AWS services and regions are required.

Why AWS’s event estimate is not a 24/7 YouTube price

AWS documents an example of approximately $69.74 for a one-hour SD-540p event with about 1,000 viewers: approximately $2.50 for encoding and packaging plus $67.24 for 791 GB of distribution. This is an estimate for AWS’s described architecture, including CloudFront delivery, under those assumptions. It is not a universal fee for a stream sent to YouTube; the audience-delivery path and architecture differ. Do not multiply this event figure into a monthly YouTube-streaming cost.

4. Google Cloud Live Stream API: a transcoding pipeline

Google Cloud’s Live Stream API accepts RTMP or SRT input and creates HLS or DASH outputs. It is a video-processing pipeline, not a documented one-step service for looping uploaded files directly into YouTube. A YouTube workflow may need additional components to provide the input, repeat the prerecorded material, and hand off a compatible encoder stream.

Google recommends SRT where possible for input to its API, citing packet-drop recovery, forward error correction, support for multiple audio streams, and higher bandwidth. That recommendation applies to the input leg into Google Cloud; it does not establish that SRT is the required final protocol from a cloud pipeline to YouTube. Treat each connection in a multi-stage workflow separately.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

How Google Cloud bills the API

Google Cloud charges for active channel time, with rates dependent on input and output resolution. The documented minimum is ten minutes; after that, active duration is rounded up to the nearest minute. This billing model does not provide a complete cost for a 24/7 YouTube pipeline, since the full architecture and its additional components also matter.

What YouTube requires from a continuous stream

YouTube receives a live encoder feed, not simply a playlist link. In YouTube Studio, create or schedule a live stream, copy its server URL and stream key into the encoder or hosted service, and start sending content from that service. YouTube says enabling live streaming for the first time can take up to 24 hours, so do not leave setup until the intended launch time.

Encoder output settings

YouTube recommends RTMPS, which encrypts the stream between the encoder and YouTube’s servers. Its published encoder guidance allows H.264, H.265 (HEVC), or AV1 video; recommends constant bitrate (CBR); supports up to 60 fps; and recommends a two-second keyframe interval, which should not exceed four seconds. Confirm that the chosen service can produce an output compatible with the settings you need. For a managed service, verify what it configures for you rather than assuming every cloud encoder uses the same defaults.

One live session versus archived recordings

YouTube automatically archives streams that run for less than 12 hours. That limit makes two goals distinct: maintaining one continuously live channel and preserving an automatically archived recording of each session. If you need both, plan the stream schedule around the archive limit instead of assuming a single uninterrupted broadcast will automatically become a complete VOD.

  • Powerful Pass-Through Charging: Supports up to 85W pass-through charging so you can power up your laptop while you use the hub. Note: Pass-through charging requires a charger (not included). Note: To achieve full power for iPad, we recommend using a 45W wall charger.
  • Transfer Files in Seconds: Move files to and from your laptop at speeds of up to 5 Gbps via the USB-C and USB-A data ports. Note: The USB C 5Gbps Data port does not support video output.

  • What You Get: Anker 332 USB-C Hub (5-in-1), welcome guide, our worry-free 18-month warranty, and friendly customer service.

Copyright and channel eligibility

  • Only stream recordings you have the rights to broadcast, including the video, music, and any other included material. A prerecorded format does not remove copyright obligations.
  • Check YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility and account status in YouTube Studio before scheduling a launch; first-time enablement can take up to 24 hours.
  • Do not assume that looping content automatically meets YouTube’s monetization or reused-content requirements. Platform eligibility and monetization decisions are separate from whether an encoder can send the stream.

For a pre-publish rights review, use the copyright safety checklist.

How to choose between the services

  • Choose StreamNeo if you want a cloud-hosted loop for uploaded videos, a defined per-slot price, and automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream.
  • Consider Gyre if you want to evaluate the service YouTube explicitly names for 24/7 prerecorded streams. Verify current pricing, workflow limits, and recovery terms directly.
  • Consider AWS MediaLive if you have the technical capacity to design and operate a custom video pipeline and need its configurable live-processing workflow.
  • Consider Google Cloud Live Stream API if you are building around Google Cloud and understand that the API’s documented HLS/DASH outputs do not by themselves establish a direct file-loop-to-YouTube workflow.

Before committing to a custom setup, map the entire path from file storage through looping and encoding to YouTube ingestion. Then assess service-region availability, what restarts after an input or network failure, and the cost at the actual resolution and schedule. The reviewed sources do not establish comparable uptime guarantees across these providers, so there is no sound basis here for ranking them by reliability.

To estimate upload duration before starting, use StreamNeo’s upload-time calculator. To compare the trade-offs of cloud streaming and a local computer, use its cloud vs. PC cost calculator.

Or let it run in the cloud

With StreamNeo, upload your video or playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. Nothing has to stay on at home; your upload streams at its original quality up to 4K 60fps for one flat price per slot; and the service automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card required. Monthly pricing is $9.99 per month.
