Test live access and the complete setup
YouTube says first-time live-stream enablement may take up to 24 hours. Enable live access well ahead of your planned launch, then test the full workflow privately: service connection, stream start, playback order, audio, and the viewer experience. Google’s live-streaming guidance also recommends scheduling the event and deciding who will moderate live chat and comments. For an always-on channel, assign someone to check stream health and respond to failed uploads, expired credentials, or a stopped broadcast. The available sources do not provide independent reliability guarantees for the candidate services.

Keep archive expectations separate from 24/7 playback
YouTube Help says streams shorter than 12 hours can be automatically archived, but a stream exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all. That makes a single continuous broadcast a poor sole archive strategy if you need a complete replay of every class. Ask whether your service can divide programming into shorter broadcasts; keep the original class files available as videos or maintain a separate recording backup when replay retention matters.
Confirm rights for every part of a lesson
The cloud service transmits your recordings; it does not grant rights to the material inside them. YouTube’s livestream terms make the content provider responsible for having the necessary rights to use live content on Google services, including relevant music licensing rights. Check permissions for instructor recordings, slides, readings, video clips, music, and any third-party material, including permission to rebroadcast and archive it.
Do not treat looping as a monetization shortcut
YouTube’s channel monetization policy applies to live streams and expects monetized content to be original and authentic; it warns that generic, repetitive, or mass-produced material may not be eligible. A continuous stream of recorded classes is not automatically disqualified simply because it is continuous, but no streaming service can guarantee monetization. Make the educational purpose clear and offer substantive, varied lessons rather than relying on repetition.
Questions to settle before paying
- Does the exact plan run continuously, or only for scheduled sessions or a limited duration?
- How much storage, how many files, and how many simultaneous streams does it allow?
- Which upload formats are supported, and how do uploads, playlist edits, and replacements work?
- Can it schedule recurring lessons or switch between recorded and live sources without restarting?
- How does it connect to YouTube, and what happens if the stream drops or credentials expire?
- What is the archive and backup plan if the continuous broadcast exceeds YouTube’s 12-hour archive threshold?
- Does the total price reflect the tier that actually supports your schedule, library, destinations, and support needs?
