Best compact choice: PowerA Slim Case
The PowerA Slim Case is the strongest fit when the essentials are the Switch 2 itself and game cards. Nintendo’s US listing describes structured molded protection with a soft fabric lining and says the case “Securely holds up to 10 game cards.” The integrated stand folds over the console to serve as a padded screen protector while it is inside. Nintendo also identifies the case as officially licensed and lists a two-year limited warranty. When the official carrying case makes more sense
Nintendo’s Carrying Case & Screen Protector is a reasonable middle ground if you want an official case and space for the console, Joy-Con 2, and a small accessory. TechRadar’s November 2025 review reports dimensions of 340 × 142 × 42 mm, a weight of 310 g, six game-card slots, and three compartments. Its six reported card slots are fewer than the up-to-10 capacity specified for the PowerA Slim. TechRadar also says the case does not fit the dock. The same reviewer judged the included screen protector unremarkable and suggested considering a separately sold protector; that is a review opinion, not a laboratory finding. When to choose a roomier case instead
Orzly Carrying Case
GamesRadar’s review characterizes the Orzly case as a budget-oriented, roomier but bulkier option, and says the PowerA Slim is preferable when bag space is tight.
