As of August 10, 2026, the best verified Fisch farming spots are split by goal: farm Everturn Forest at night for XP, Enchanted Crevice for consistent late-game money, Living Garden if your rod can reliably land its difficult fish, and Brine Pool during Brine Storm for the highest event-dependent money potential. In the First Sea, Forsaken Shores Pond remains the most practical dedicated money farm.
The recent The Deep update makes any universal “best location” claim temporary. Public testing has not yet settled the post-update C$/hour and XP/hour rankings, so the recommendations below are tied to your rod, bait, catch rate, access, and whether you are farming during an event.
Last verified: August 10, 2026. Update note: The Deep was recently released, and some late-game rankings may change as more post-update tests become available. Current update discussion is collected in the Fisch community discussion of The Deep.
Quick ranking: where to fish in Fisch
| Goal | Recommended location | Why it is good | Main drawback |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pure XP with a strong rod | Everturn Forest at night | The night version grants a location-wide 3× XP effect, and the island’s outer edge can reach ocean fish with high XP potential. | Night fish are harder to catch because of reduced resilience and an additional attack mechanic. |
| Easier XP farming | Sunstone Island | More manageable catches and convenient access to Merlin’s temporary XP boost. | Lower ceiling than an optimized Everturn session. |
| Consistent late-game money | Enchanted Crevice | Strong-value catches and generally smoother catch rates than Living Garden. | Does not always have the highest theoretical payout per fish. |
| High-end money | Living Garden | High-value fish, flower buffs, Diamond Daisy, and Guardian Hunt opportunities. | Difficult fish and lengthy access requirements can reduce actual hourly income. |
| Maximum event-dependent money | Brine Pool during Brine Storm | Brine Storm can produce an exceptionally high-value farming window. | Requires a brine-capable setup and the right event; it is not the best all-day recommendation. |
| Reliable First Sea money | Forsaken Shores Pond | Captain’s Goldfish is concentrated in one pond and has a clear bait and condition setup. | Captain’s Goldfish has been nerfed from its former dominance, so late-game spots can be better. |
| Beginner cash | Moosewood, Roslit Bay, or Sunstone Island | Fast catches, short travel routes, and inexpensive farming. | Low value per fish compared with late-game areas. |

- XP per catch: how much experience an individual fish provides.
- XP per hour: how quickly you gain levels after accounting for missed catches, empty casts, travel, and selling.
- C$ per catch: the displayed value of an individual fish.
- Net C$ per hour: your actual income after bait, travel, setup time, selling trips, and failed catches.
A rare fish worth a large amount is not automatically the best farm. If your rod misses it repeatedly, a lower-value fish that you can catch quickly may produce more money and XP over the same session. The same principle applies to XP: a 25,000 XP catch is not necessarily better than several easy 5,000 XP catches.
For your own testing, use these measures:
Net C$/hour = (total sell value − bait cost − unavoidable travel or setup cost) ÷ total session hours
Effective XP/hour = total XP gained ÷ total session hours
Include the time spent traveling, selling, waiting for weather or events, opening flowers, summoning a storm, and recovering from failed catches. That is the difference between a listed fish-value comparison and a useful farming recommendation.

Best Fisch location for XP: Everturn Forest at night
Everturn Forest at night is the best publicly verified pure-XP route for a player with a capable rod and reliable catch technique. The location changes mechanically at night: fish grant 3× XP, resilience is reduced by 50%, and fish gain a biting or attack mechanic that can reduce progress and temporarily shrink the control bar. Oaklings also become hostile. The location’s coordinates are approximately X: 2365, Y: 130, Z: -2330. See the Everturn Forest reference page for the documented location and night mechanics.
Fish the outer edge, not just the forest pond
Do not automatically remain at the central forest pond. Player testing indicates that moving toward Everturn’s outer edge lets your cast reach surrounding ocean fish, which can produce better XP and value than relying only on the interior pool. This is a player optimization rather than a clearly documented official rule, so treat it as a technique to test rather than a guarantee.
- Travel to Everturn Forest at approximately X: 2365, Y: 130, Z: -2330.
- Wait for nighttime or use the time-changing method available to you.
- Move toward the island’s outer edge.
- Cast into the surrounding ocean rather than fishing only in the central pond.
- Use a rod that you can operate accurately, not merely the rod with the highest theoretical XP passive.
- Stop or move to an easier location if the night penalty causes too many escapes.
During the appropriate season, seasonal Everturn sturgeon and other high-rarity ocean targets can make the outer-edge route particularly attractive. Aurora or another luck event can further improve the quality of available catches, but the event does not remove the location’s catch difficulty.
Best rods for Everturn XP
Pinion’s Aria is a powerful endgame XP choice when you can consistently hit its falling-note minigame. Its resonance and progress effects can make it excellent for a skilled player, but missing notes reduces its practical performance. A simpler rod that lands nearly every fish can outperform it in real XP/hour. The Pinion’s Aria reference page describes its note and resonance mechanics.

Its listed price is 2,500,000 C$, with a level-250 requirement, high luck, and an XP passive. Current community-maintained references disagree about the exact passive: the rod page lists 1.35× XP, while the broader Fish XP page lists 1.25×. Check the live-game tooltip before treating either number as definitive.
Wisdom Rod can also work for repeated XP-oriented catches, but compare its real catch speed with Oscar or Pinion’s Aria. The best XP rod is the one that combines a useful multiplier with a low miss rate for your skill level.
Everturn XP enchantments and buffs
- Clever: currently listed as a 2.25× XP effect.
- Wise: current references conflict between 1.2× and 1.3× XP. Verify the live enchantment description.
- Insight: a 1.5× XP alternative when Clever is unavailable.
- Steady or resilience/control enchants: potentially better than a pure XP enchant if you are losing difficult Everturn fish.
- Merlin’s temporary XP boost: Merlin is on Sunstone Island, requires level 30 for his services, and offers an XP boost with a five-minute cooldown. See the Merlin reference page.
- Aurora or another luck event: useful when you are targeting valuable or rare fish.
- Moon Idol: use it if you have access to its XP effect.
- Preferred bait: target-specific bait can improve the quality of your catches, but only if your rod can land the resulting fish.
Perfect catches grant 1.5× XP and 10 C$. XP modifiers are documented as stacking multiplicatively rather than additively on the Fishing mechanics page. In practice, this makes a full XP setup powerful, but only while you maintain accurate catches.

When Everturn is worse than Sunstone
Everturn is not automatically the best XP spot for every player. The 3× multiplier is wasted if you miss most of the fish, fail Pinion’s Aria notes, or spend the session being interrupted by Oaklings. Move to Sunstone Island when you need easier catches, a more relaxed setup, or convenient access to Merlin. You may gain less XP per fish but more XP per hour.
Carrot Garden, Luminescent Cavern, and event pools are also worth considering when a high-XP hunt or target is active. Their ceiling can be excellent, but spawn conditions, travel, and catch difficulty make them less consistent than a repeatable Everturn route.
Best Fisch locations for money
1. Enchanted Crevice: the best consistent late-game money farm
Enchanted Crevice is the safest current recommendation for consistent late-game C$. It is a sublocation of the Statue of Sovereignty, reached through the cave near the Keeper’s Altar elevator or by using a glider near the enchant altar. Its notable targets include Adumbral Shark and Sovereign Oarfish. The Enchanted Crevice reference page documents the access routes, fish, and its special Sovereign interaction.
The Crevice’s advantage is consistency rather than a guaranteed highest value per fish. Its catches are generally easier to land than Living Garden’s most difficult fish, so a strong but imperfect player can often produce a better session total there.
Enchanted Crevice route
- Travel to the Statue of Sovereignty.
- Enter the mine route and reach the area near the Keeper’s Altar elevator, or use a glider near the enchant altar.
- Continue to the purple pool.
- Target valuable catches such as Sovereign Oarfish and Adumbral Shark.
- Use a money, value, or mutation-oriented rod rather than assuming an XP rod is optimal.
- Record fish caught and total sell value, not only the displayed price of your best fish.
Rods carrying the Sovereign enchantment have an additional reason to use the purple pool: catches there can restore Keeperbound power. That makes the location especially relevant for those builds.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesEvidence and limits
A controlled July comparison reported 3,096,360 C$ from 88 fish in Enchanted Crevice and 2,484,637 C$ from 66 fish in Living Garden. The Garden catches had competitive per-fish value, but the Crevice produced the higher total because the tester caught more fish. These figures came from one highly optimized setup and predate The Deep, so they are a useful benchmark rather than a universal current C$/hour result. The full comparison is available at All Things How’s Enchanted Crevice versus Living Garden test.
2. Living Garden: the high-end alternative
Living Garden can beat Enchanted Crevice for a highly optimized player, but it is less forgiving. The area contains valuable targets such as Diamond Daisy, Petal Ray, Flower Guardian, and Toxic Guardian, along with flower events and mutation opportunities.
Access is a significant part of the cost:
- Complete Olivia’s quest by bringing her a Venom Maw or Mycotide Serpent.
- Obtain the Toxic-Proof Raft.
- Travel from Toxic Grove through the hazardous, noxious-fluid river.
- Fish the appropriate pool for your target species.
The Living Garden reference page documents the access requirements, fish, flower system, and Guardian Hunt interaction.
How to make Living Garden profitable
- Use a rod with enough control, resilience, or progress speed to land the area’s difficult fish.
- Open flowers before or during the session to obtain the Pollinated buff.
- Each opened flower guarantees Pollinated for 90 seconds and can also provide seeds or trigger a Guardian Hunt.
- The Living Garden reference lists a 2% chance of triggering a Flower Guardian Hunt from opening flowers.
- Use bait and mutations suited to the area rather than carrying over an unrelated XP setup.
- Count the time spent opening flowers, changing pools, traveling through the river, and selling.
Choose Living Garden when your rod already handles its difficult fish. If repeated minus-progress-speed effects cause escapes, Enchanted Crevice will usually be the better practical farm even if Living Garden’s fish have higher listed values.
3. Brine Pool during Brine Storm: the highest event-dependent ceiling
Brine Pool is an event farm, not the best default location for every session. During Brine Storm, the area can produce some of the strongest money results currently associated with Fisch. Outside the event, the setup and catch difficulty make the recommendation much less compelling.
You need:
- A rod capable of fishing in the brine.
- Enough resilience, control, and progress speed for the pool’s difficult fish.
- An active Brine Storm or a reliable way to join or summon one.
- Appropriate bait and a value or mutation-focused setup.
The Brine-infused Rod is listed at 75,000 C$, has 200 durability for hazardous environments, and has a listed 50% chance to apply the Brined mutation. It is one documented route into brine-oriented farming, but the correct rod depends on what your current inventory and progression allow.

The well-designed fishing poles and tackle box kit provides comprehensive fishing equipment, making this fishing gift perfect for Father's Day, Christmas, Thanksgiving, and birthdays. A fishing rod and such exquisite freshwater pocket tackle box ensures that both beginners and experienced anglers can have an extraordinary.
Brine Pool fails as a money strategy when you spend more time locating or summoning storms than fishing, the storm ends before you fill your inventory, or difficult fish escape often enough to erase their high values. Treat Brine Storm as a high-ceiling burst session and compare its net return with a full Enchanted Crevice session.
4. Forsaken Shores Pond: the best practical First Sea farm
Forsaken Shores Pond remains the most practical dedicated First Sea money farm for players who are not ready for late-game areas. Fish beneath the waterfall and target Captain’s Goldfish, which is concentrated in this pond.
Captain’s Goldfish prefers:
- Bait: Truffle Worm
- Time: Daytime
- Season: Summer
Its listed base XP is 2,800 and its average base value is listed as 1,632 C$. See the Forsaken Shores Pond page and Captain’s Goldfish page for the current database entries.
Forsaken Shores route
- Travel to Forsaken Shores.
- Fish beneath the waterfall in the pond.
- Use the highest-luck rod you can operate reliably.
- Use Truffle Worm when specifically targeting Captain’s Goldfish.
- Prefer daytime and summer for the target fish.
- Sell often if your inventory fills quickly.
Forsaken Shores Pond should not be described as the uncontested best money spot in the entire game. Captain’s Goldfish has previously been nerfed, and late-game comparisons disagree about whether it can beat Enchanted Crevice or Living Garden with specialized rods. Its strength is accessibility, concentration, and reliability for First Sea players.
5. Beginner money locations: Moosewood, Roslit Bay, and Sunstone Island
Beginners should prioritize catch speed, low bait cost, short travel, and a high landing rate. Moosewood and Roslit Bay are sensible early routes, while Sunstone Island becomes more useful as your rod improves and you want access to Merlin.
Do not spend expensive bait chasing a rare fish that your current rod cannot land. A fast sequence of ordinary catches can produce more net C$ than a slow sequence of failed rare-fish attempts. Older broad guides such as TechBloat’s location overview are useful for early progression, but they do not settle the current late-game competition.
6. Other locations worth testing
Areas such as Mineshaft, Coral Bastion, Scoria’s Reach, Castaway Cliffs, Boreal Pines, The Sanctum, Luminescent Cavern, and Carrot Garden can still be worthwhile when they contain a target fish, hunt, or event suited to your rod. Older location-by-location coverage, including Beebom’s March 2026 guide, includes useful progression ideas for these areas.
However, do not treat that older list as the current definitive meta. It predates the recent Enchanted Crevice, Living Garden, Brine Pool, and Everturn-focused recommendations. It also contains figures that conflict with current community-maintained databases, including a Tartaruga XP value and Oscar multiplier. Use these locations when they are convenient or when a hunt is active, then verify your own hourly results.
Best location for both XP and money
There is no single location that maximizes both objectives for every player. Use this progression-based decision:
| Your situation | Best choice | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Beginner with a weak rod | Moosewood or Roslit Bay | Fast catches and low operating cost matter more than rare-fish value. |
| Early-mid game | Sunstone Island or Forsaken Shores Pond | Sunstone offers easier XP farming and Merlin access; Forsaken Shores offers a concentrated money target. |
| Cannot land difficult fish | Sunstone, Roslit Bay, or Forsaken Shores Pond | Consistent catches beat a theoretically superior location with a high miss rate. |
| Strong First Sea setup | Forsaken Shores Pond | Reliable Captain’s Goldfish targeting with Truffle Worm under the right conditions. |
| Mid-to-late game | Enchanted Crevice for C$, Everturn at night for XP | Switching locations is more efficient than forcing one route to do both jobs. |
| Endgame with specialized gear | Everturn for XP; Living Garden, Enchanted Crevice, or Brine Pool for money | Use separate XP and value loadouts according to catch difficulty and event availability. |
For a balanced session, Forsaken Shores Pond is the clearest early-mid-game compromise. In the late game, the best strategy is usually to separate your sessions: farm levels in Everturn Forest at night, then switch to a money-oriented rod and location.

For XP
- Pinion’s Aria: excellent for players who can consistently execute its falling-note mechanics.
- Great Rod of Oscar: a strong level-250 XP option with a listed price of 2,500,000 C$, but its exact current XP multiplier is inconsistent across reference pages.
- Wisdom Rod: useful for repeated catches and XP-oriented builds; compare actual catch speed with Oscar and Pinion’s Aria.
- Clever: currently documented as 2.25× XP.
- Wise: listed as either 1.2× or 1.3× XP by different current references; verify in game.
- Insight: 1.5× XP alternative when Clever is unavailable.
For money
Money farming generally benefits more from luck, value, mutation, control, resilience, and consistent progress than from an XP passive. An XP rod can still make sense when you want levels and cash together, but it is not automatically the highest-income choice.

A must-have addition to any fishing kit with ease using these essential fishing gear tools.
- Use a value or mutation-oriented rod in Enchanted Crevice and Living Garden.
- Use enough control or resilience to avoid losing expensive fish.
- Use a brine-capable rod for Brine Pool rather than entering with an ordinary setup.
- For Forsaken Shores Pond, favor luck and a rod suited to your current progression.
When deciding between a pure XP enchant and a catchability enchant, calculate the value of the catches you are currently losing. If Clever gives more potential XP but causes repeated escapes, Steady or another control-oriented option may produce more real XP/hour.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Conditions that can change your result
Time and season
Everturn’s major XP advantage requires nighttime. Captain’s Goldfish targeting at Forsaken Shores Pond is strongest during daytime and summer. Always check the target fish’s conditions before spending expensive bait.
Weather and luck events
Aurora and other luck or rarity events can improve the quality of catches, especially when you are fishing the outer ocean at Everturn or targeting rare money fish. Their opportunity cost matters: waiting for an event is only worthwhile if the boosted session earns more than the reliable route you could have farmed during that time.
Hunts and flower events
Living Garden can gain additional value from Pollinated buffs and Guardian Hunts. Carrot Garden, Luminescent Cavern, and other event pools can produce short XP or money spikes. These should be treated as event opportunities rather than automatically superior permanent farms.
Bait costs
The most valuable bait is not always the most profitable bait. Test whether it:
- actually increases your target-fish rate;
- causes fish that are too difficult for your rod;
- gets consumed on too many non-target catches; and
- adds enough sell value to cover its cost.
For example, Truffle Worm is the clear target bait for Captain’s Goldfish, but the overall result still depends on your rod, season, catch rate, and how much bait you consume.
How to test the best spot for your own rod
Public rankings are useful starting points, but your personal catch rate is often the deciding variable. Run the following test before committing to a new farm:
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
- Keep the setup constant. Use the same rod, enchantments, bait, pet, gamepasses, and active buffs in each location.
- Record your starting values. Note your C$, XP, bait count, and inventory capacity.
- Include travel time. Start the timer before traveling to the location, not after the first cast.
- Fish for 30 minutes. Record fish caught, missed catches, empty casts, bait used, and event downtime.
- Sell and record the final result. Calculate total sell value, net C$, and XP gained.
- Repeat the test. Run at least two sessions per location if weather, season, or event timing allows.
- Compare hourly results. Use net C$/hour and effective XP/hour, not your single best catch.
For a fair Living Garden versus Enchanted Crevice comparison, include flower-opening time, river travel, inventory trips, and failed rare catches. For Brine Pool, include time spent finding or creating Brine Storm. For Everturn, compare the night route against an easier Sunstone session using the same total elapsed time.
Common farming mistakes
Everturn Forest
- Fishing only inside the pond and never testing the outer-ocean cast.
- Ignoring the 50% resilience reduction and attack mechanic at night.
- Using Pinion’s Aria while missing too many notes.
- Counting XP per fish instead of XP per hour.
- Allowing Oaklings or other interruptions to consume the session.
Enchanted Crevice
- Comparing only the price of the most valuable catch.
- Using an XP rod that loses too many rare fish.
- Assuming a July test still exactly represents the post-The Deep economy.
- Leaving out travel and selling time.
Living Garden
- Attempting to enter without Olivia’s quest and the Toxic-Proof Raft.
- Using a rod that cannot handle the area’s minus-progress-speed fish.
- Spending too long opening flowers or waiting for a Guardian Hunt.
- Using bait or mutations designed for another location.
- Assuming community reports of nerfs are exact patch-note data. Player reports can identify a trend, but they do not establish the precise balance change.
Brine Pool
- Entering without a brine-capable rod.
- Starting a session when Brine Storm is nearly over.
- Spending more time setting up the storm than fishing.
- Letting failed reels and expensive bait erase the value of successful catches.
Forsaken Shores Pond
- Assuming Captain’s Goldfish is still as dominant as before its nerfs.
- Fishing outside daytime or summer while targeting it.
- Using a low-luck rod and filling the inventory with common fish.
- Failing to sell often when the pond produces a large number of catches.
Did The Deep change the best Fisch farming location?
It may, but the public evidence is not yet mature enough to declare a fully tested post-update winner for every category. The Deep was live by August 9–10, 2026, while much indexed guide coverage still reflects July or earlier testing. New fish, routes, mutations, and balance changes can alter both catch value and catch rate.
The safest current wording is:
As of August 10, 2026, Everturn Forest at night is the best publicly verified XP route, while Enchanted Crevice is the strongest consistent late-game money recommendation. Living Garden, Brine Pool during Brine Storm, and Forsaken Shores Pond remain important alternatives depending on gear, access, and progression. Re-test the route after major updates.
Community discussions are useful for finding newly discovered techniques, but they often omit rod, bait, enchantment, event, and miss-rate details. Use them to form a farming hypothesis, then verify it with a timed session.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Everturn Forest better than Sunstone Island for XP?
Usually, yes, if you can reliably catch Everturn’s nighttime fish. Everturn Forest at night grants 3× XP, but its 50% resilience reduction and attack mechanic make catches harder. If you miss frequently, Sunstone Island can produce more effective XP per hour because its catches are easier and Merlin’s XP boost is convenient there.
Is Enchanted Crevice better than Living Garden for money?
Enchanted Crevice is the better consistent recommendation for many late-game players because its fish are generally easier to land. Living Garden can outperform it with a specialized rod, strong control, appropriate bait, flower buffs, and a high catch rate. A July comparison reported 3,096,360 C$ from 88 Crevice fish versus 2,484,637 C$ from 66 Living Garden fish, but that was one optimized pre-The Deep test rather than a universal current result.
Is Forsaken Shores Pond still good after the Captain’s Goldfish nerf?
Yes, particularly for First Sea and early-to-mid-game players. Fish beneath the waterfall, use Truffle Worm, and target daytime during summer. It is no longer a guaranteed best-money location for the entire game; specialized late-game setups can do better in Enchanted Crevice, Living Garden, or Brine Pool during Brine Storm.
Is Brine Pool worth farming without Brine Storm?
Usually not if your goal is dependable money per hour. Brine Pool has a high ceiling during Brine Storm, but the rod requirements, difficult catches, and event setup reduce its consistency. Compare a full storm session against Enchanted Crevice after including time spent finding or summoning the storm.
What should a player under level 250 farm?
Use Moosewood or Roslit Bay early, then consider Sunstone Island or Forsaken Shores Pond as your rod improves. Great Rod of Oscar is listed with a level-250 requirement, so players below that threshold should prioritize a rod they can use consistently rather than planning around Oscar.
What if I cannot catch Everturn’s nighttime fish?
Leave Everturn and use Sunstone Island, Roslit Bay, or Forsaken Shores Pond. A lower-difficulty location is better when its catch rate is much higher. You can return to Everturn after improving control, resilience, progress speed, bait, or your rod.
Does Clever or Wise give more XP?
Clever is currently listed at 2.25× XP. Current community-maintained pages disagree about Wise, listing either 1.2× or 1.3×. Check the live-game tooltip and your current enchantment page before making a costly choice.
Is Pinion’s Aria worth using if I miss its notes?
Not necessarily. Pinion’s Aria can be an excellent XP rod when you consistently hit its falling notes, but missed notes reduce its practical performance. A simpler rod with a higher catch rate can deliver more XP per hour.
Should I use an XP rod when farming money?
Only if you want a combined XP-and-money session or the XP rod also lands the area’s valuable fish reliably. For maximum C$, use a value, luck, mutation, control, or resilience-oriented setup suited to the location.
Can a location with lower-value fish make more money?
Yes. Net C$/hour depends on catch volume, missed catches, bait cost, travel, selling, and event downtime. This is why Enchanted Crevice can outperform a location with higher individual fish values for players who catch more fish there.
The Bottom Line
Use Everturn Forest at night for XP if your rod can handle it. Fish from the outer edge, use your strongest reliable XP setup, and activate Merlin’s boost and other available multipliers. For money, start with Enchanted Crevice for consistency, move to Living Garden when your catch rate and access justify it, and use Brine Pool during Brine Storm for high-risk event farming. If you are still progressing through the First Sea, farm Forsaken Shores Pond with Truffle Worm under daytime summer conditions. Re-test any ranking after major updates, especially The Deep.
