The codes below are dated leads, not a verified live ranking: search each one in Fortnite and confirm the displayed island name and creator before you play. The best pick depends on whether you want a full-map match, a specific old location, or a smaller mode.

These creator-made Chapter 1 recreations appeared in Dot Esports’ list, last updated February 8, 2024. Their current availability, island details, and status have not been confirmed, so treat each code as a search lead rather than a guaranteed working code.

Which Chapter 1 recreation should you choose?
- For a full-map match: Check Atlas OG Battle Royale first; its dated listing specifically identifies it as a Season 3 map recreation. Reboot Royale is another full-map lead, but its historical beta and bug warning makes checking the current listing especially important.
- For one location or a collection of POIs: Try Tilted Towers Creative OG for Tilted Towers, or Deleted Fortnite Locations for several former map landmarks.
- For a particular season: The two Season 1-titled entries and the Season 4 entry have different descriptions. Compare the displayed island title, creator, loot, and movement rules in Fortnite instead of assuming the old descriptions remain accurate.
- For shorter or mode-based play: OG Map Lategame 2.0 is described as a nine-location mode with several options, not as a complete Chapter 1 map.
How to enter a Fortnite island code
- Launch Fortnite and select Play.
- Scroll down until the Search bar appears.
- Enter the island name or its code, then inspect the result. Epic’s instructions support searching by either name or code: Epic Games Support: Search for an island, map, or custom match.
- Before launching, match the displayed island name and developer to the entry you intended to find. If a code returns a different listing, do not assume it is the same island.
- Use the result’s three-dot menu to favorite an island, or choose View Developer to see that developer’s other published islands.
What a Fortnite island code tells you
Epic defines a map code as a shareable code players can use to access an island. Codes use the format xxxx-xxxx-xxxx, and only published islands have one; unpublished islands do not. A code is a way to locate an island, not proof that it is still published or that an old description remains current. See Epic’s Map code documentation and guidance on finding island codes.
Why these are leads, not a live “best” ranking
The detailed list above was last updated February 8, 2024, and its codes have not been checked in Fortnite for this article. No current player-count, popularity, or performance figures are established here, so the picks are organized by the experience described—not ranked by present-day activity or quality. A March 2023 video also listed OG Battle Royale (2179-7822-3395), duplicating the Atlas code, plus Reclamation (1135-0371-8937) and Gemstone Tycoon (6265-7588-5080). That older record is not enough to recommend its additional codes as currently available.

What Epic’s Chapter 1 remake exception means
Epic announced a special publishing exception for remakes of Chapter 1 Battle Royale maps and said those remakes were ineligible for monetization. That exception is limited to Chapter 1; it is not general permission to recreate maps from other Fortnite seasons. Epic’s current Developer Rules say creators may not use recreated or otherwise obtained Epic-owned maps and assets without permission, including Battle Royale season assets not made available in UEFN. These map-code listings describe creator-made islands, not official Epic Battle Royale maps. Read Epic’s Chapter 1 island publishing announcement alongside the current rules.
