There is no verified current ranking of FragPunk Lancers in the available sources. The clearest published tier list is DotGG’s March 15, 2025 snapshot, which placed Pathojen, Broker, Serket, Nitro, and Hollowpoint in S tier. Treat those placements as historical starting points—not a measure of who is strongest in October 2026.
What the published FragPunk tier list says
DotGG’s guide ranked Lancers by qualitative factors: overall effectiveness, ability impact and utility, ease of use versus reward, attack-and-defense versatility, and team synergy. Those are the guide author’s criteria, not official statistics or measured win-rate data.

The same guide’s explanations offer context for those old placements: it highlighted Pathojen for healing and team sustain, Broker for damage and smoke utility, and Hollowpoint for long-range threat and information. Spider was described in terms of mobility and disruption, while Kismet combined information, damage, and mobility. These are the author’s 2025 assessments, not confirmed judgments about current strength.
Why this is not a current-meta ranking
The official FragPunk update dated September 23, 2026 covered an event and did not compare Lancer performance. An August 28, 2026 update listed bug fixes involving Dex and Hollowpoint abilities, but supplied no tier comparison. The official news index’s newest visible item was dated September 29, 2026. None of these sources validates the March 2025 placements as today’s meta.

The sources available do not provide current Lancer win rates, pick rates, or performance split by rank or mode. DotGG’s list is a qualitative snapshot, not a statistical sample. As a result, which Lancers lead ranked play in October 2026—and whether the answer changes by mode or rank—remains unestablished.
How to choose a Lancer for your team
Use the older list as a set of questions to ask about a kit, not as an automatic pick order. FragPunk is a 5v5 hero shooter built around Lancers with distinct skills, so the value of an ability depends partly on what the team is trying to do and whether teammates can act on it.

- Match utility to the plan. Consider whether healing, damage, smoke, information, mobility, or disruption fills a real need in your team composition.
- Account for execution. A theoretically useful ability is less valuable if you struggle to use it consistently. Comfort and practice matter alongside a tier label.
- Consider the map and side. Ask whether the kit helps with the specific space, approach, or defensive plan your team needs to play; the available sources do not establish a universal best pick for every map or side.
- Check team coordination. Information and setup abilities are most useful when teammates can capitalize on them. Choose around how your group actually communicates and follows up.
- Separate character utility from character strength. A useful ability example is not proof of a high ranking: at launch, NetEase described Chum using Chomper as an explosive or smoke bomb to disrupt enemy formations. That illustrates a possible role in team play, not Chum’s current comparative strength.
What can be said with confidence
NetEase described FragPunk at launch as a free-to-play 5v5 hero shooter and counted 13 Lancers for its first season. That is launch-era context, not a current roster count. The official framing emphasized strategic depth, but it does not establish a present-day balance order.
For a quick historical reference, DotGG’s S tier was Pathojen, Broker, Serket, Nitro, and Hollowpoint. For a current pick, weigh your own execution, team plan, map, and mode; the sources cited here do not establish a reliable October 2026 leaderboard.
