Why Brawlhalla is the better pick for current online play

What happened to MultiVersus?
MultiVersus’s online service reportedly ended on May 30, 2025, according to a Reddit repost of the service update. The repost describes Season 5 as the final seasonal content update and says offline local play remains for players who had previously logged in and established a local save. Because this account is a repost rather than the original Warner Bros. Games or Player First Games notice, treat the offline-access conditions as reported, not independently confirmed. For a player looking to download a game and play online today, that reported shutdown rules MultiVersus out as an equivalent alternative. Its possible offline mode is a narrower case, and the stated save requirement means it should not be assumed available to every new player.
