The right gaming chair for a child or teenager is the one that fits their body and desk—not the one marketed for their age. Compare the child’s height and weight with the manufacturer’s limits, then check seat height and depth, armrest position, and useful adjustments. The Sharkoon SKILLER SGS2 Jr. is a purpose-made small gaming chair; Secretlab’s TITAN XXS is another compact option, but Secretlab describes it as a collectible. For study and everyday desk use, the adjustable Topstar Titan Junior is an alternative rather than a gaming chair.
How to choose a chair that fits
Start with the child’s measurements, not an age label. A chair can meet its stated height and weight limits yet still feel wrong if the seat is too deep, the seat does not adjust low enough, or the armrests do not align with the desk.
- Check height and weight limits. Treat them as manufacturer specifications, not a guarantee of comfort or a substitute for checking the dimensions.
- Compare seat height with the child and desk. The child should be able to sit with feet supported and avoid having to reach up to the desk. Check the chair’s adjustment range against the actual desk setup.
- Check seat depth. A seat that is too deep can make it difficult to sit back against the backrest while keeping a comfortable bend at the knees. Compare the stated seat depth with the child’s seated proportions where possible.
- Consider the intended use and adjustments. Look at armrest and backrest adjustment, and decide whether a racing-style gaming chair or a more conventional study chair better suits the room and daily use.
For context, a PC Guide buying guide asks whether gaming chairs for kids and teenagers are worth it and notes that standard adult models can be too large for younger users. Its headline says 2026, but its listed update date is April 15, 2024, so it should not be treated as current product testing or a current price guide: PC Guide’s kids’ gaming chair guide.

Secretlab TITAN XXS: compact, but marketed as a collectible
Secretlab lists the TITAN XXS for users up to 160 cm and 70 kg and specifies height-adjustable armrests. Its product page’s positioning deserves attention: “The Secretlab TITAN Extra Extra Small (XXS) is a 1:2 collectible designed for our truest fans.” The page attributes the accompanying product explanation to Vincent Sin, Head of Industrial Design. Although Secretlab’s FAQ discusses children using the chair and the page lists child-relevant limits and certifications, the collectible framing means buyers should not assume it is simply a conventional ergonomic chair in a smaller size.
Secretlab lists certifications under BS EN 17191:2021, FIRA/FRQG C001:2016, and ASTM F2613-21. These are manufacturer-reported certifications, not a guarantee of fit or comfort. Review the TITAN XXS product information for the manufacturer’s current details.

A desk-chair alternative: Topstar Titan Junior
The Topstar Titan Junior is not a gaming chair. It is an adjustable child desk chair that may be a better match for study and general desk use than a racing-style seat. Topstar’s 2026 English product sheet calls it “The chair that grows with your child” and lists a 36–48 cm seat-height range, 44 cm seat width, and 31–36 cm seat-depth range. Its backrest adjusts in depth; the safety children’s gas lift is adjustable from a body weight of 20 kg; and it has braked double-wheel safety castors.
Those adjustment ranges can help when choosing a chair for a growing child, but the same fit checks still apply: compare its seat depth and height to the child and their desk. See Topstar’s Titan Junior product information.
