Best graphics, controller, and accessibility settings for the Gravity Circuit 2 demo

By VGSources Team 11 min read

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

For the Windows Steam demo of Gravity Circuit 2, start with a standard PC gamepad, your monitor’s native resolution, fullscreen, and a frame cap your computer can hold consistently. Use V-sync off when input latency matters most, or on when tear-free motion matters more. SteamDB lists full controller support, DualShock and DualSense support, and “Gamepad Preferred.” The demo’s exact graphics menu, hardware requirements, and detailed accessibility options are not published, so treat any toggle beyond those basics as something to verify in the build you are playing.

Recommended setup at a glance

These are safe starting points rather than tested benchmark results. Adjust them after checking how your own display and PC behave.

Area Starting choice Why
Input device Steam-recognized PC gamepad SteamDB marks the demo as full controller support and gamepad preferred.
Resolution Display native resolution; use 16:9 when offered Preserves the clearest image and avoids unnecessary scaling.
Display mode Fullscreen for a single-monitor setup Usually gives the game direct control of the display and avoids desktop-compositor surprises.
Frame rate Cap at a rate the PC can sustain continuously Consistent frame pacing is more useful for precision platforming than a higher but unstable peak.
V-sync Off for lowest latency; on to eliminate tearing This is general display guidance, not a measured result from the demo.
Advanced effects Use only options actually shown in your build The official demo listing does not document ray tracing, upscaling, frame generation, or named quality presets.

What is included in the demo

Domesticated Ant Games and Dear Villagers released the free Windows Steam demo on October 15, 2026. It contains two playable characters and two stages:

  • Kai uses the melee-focused Gravity Circuit.
  • Cable uses the long-range Power Circuit.
  • Kernel City (Opening Stage) is one playable stage.
  • Artificial Lake is the second playable stage.

The official Steam listing estimates 20 to 30 minutes of gameplay for each character playthrough. That is an estimate from the developer and publisher, not an independently timed performance test. The demo also introduces three Circuit Shards—Hydro, Edge, and Thermal—10 Booster Chips, and four Burst Techniques per character. The full game is listed for a 2027 launch.

#1 Best Overall
Logitech G F310 Wired Gamepad Controller Console - Blue/Black | Console-like layout, 4-switch D-pad
  • With broad game support, the Logitech Gamepad F310 works with old standbys to today's biggest titles, so it's easy to set up and use with your favorite games.
  • Profiler software allows the gamepad to be programmed to perform keyboard and mouse commands for games without gamepad support.* * Requires software installation.
  • A familiar control layout that doesn't require a learning curve to be able to use, with all the same buttons as on an Xbox 360.
  • The unique floating D-pad rests on four switches-instead of a single pivot point-making it responsive to quick changes in direction.
  • The six-foot cord lets you lean back and play a comfortable distance from your PC monitor.

Because Kai and Cable emphasize different distances, input preference can change with the character. A player who prefers an analog stick and shoulder buttons may find a gamepad natural for both, while someone who prefers discrete keyboard keys may favor whichever character makes their preferred actions easier to reach. The demo does not publish a required controller model or a universally best custom layout.

Best graphics settings for the demo

1. Match the monitor’s native resolution

Set the game to the panel’s native resolution whenever that choice is available. Native output avoids an extra scaling step that can soften pixel edges or make fine platforming cues less distinct. If the game offers an aspect-ratio selector, use 16:9 on a conventional 16:9 display. On an ultrawide or a television with unusual scaling, select the mode that fills the screen without stretching the image; the demo’s official listing does not specify how it handles every aspect ratio.

If native resolution causes the frame rate to fluctuate, lower resolution only as far as necessary and check whether the game offers a clean integer or fixed-aspect presentation. Do not assume that a lower resolution is automatically faster: the limiting factor may be the CPU, display synchronization, or another part of the game.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

2. Choose fullscreen when latency and simplicity matter

For a straightforward single-display desktop setup, begin with fullscreen. It keeps the game from sharing presentation duties with other windows and is the clearest baseline for troubleshooting. Borderless or windowed mode can be more convenient when you frequently switch applications or use multiple monitors, but the demo documentation does not establish a performance advantage for either mode.

8Bitdo Ultimate 2C Wireless Controller for Windows PC and Android, with 1000 Hz Polling Rate, Hall Effect Joysticks and Triggers, and Remappable L4/R4 Bumpers (Green)
  • Compatible with Windows and Android.
  • 1000Hz Polling Rate (for 2.4G and wired connection)
  • Hall Effect joysticks and Hall triggers. Wear-resistant metal joystick rings.
  • Extra R4/L4 bumpers. Custom button mapping without using software. Turbo function.
  • Refined bumpers and D-pad. Light but tactile.

After changing display mode, move through a stage and watch for image stretching, black bars, or a refresh-rate change. If the picture looks wrong, return to the previous mode before changing several other settings at once. Changing one variable at a time makes it possible to identify the cause.

3. Cap for consistency, not a headline number

Use a frame cap that your PC can hold during movement, effects, and transitions. A stable 60 frames per second is preferable to a rate that repeatedly jumps between a high peak and a much lower floor. If your monitor runs at a different refresh rate, choose the highest cap that remains steady in both Kernel City and Artificial Lake rather than tuning only the opening seconds of a stage.

The demo has no published minimum or recommended hardware figures; the Steam system-requirements field has no posted value. That means there is no authoritative cap or preset that can be guaranteed for every Windows machine. Begin with a conservative cap, play both stages, and raise it only after frame pacing remains even.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

4. Decide V-sync by the problem you are solving

When the priority is the quickest possible response from a button press, leave V-sync off if the option is present. The trade-off is visible tearing, especially when the camera or character moves quickly. Enable V-sync when a clean, tear-free image is more important than minimizing display delay. This is general PC configuration advice, not a measured result for Gravity Circuit 2.

  • Multi-Platform PC Gaming Controller: Working with Switch, PC, Android, and iOS devices via Bluetooth, wired, and wireless dongle connections.
  • Hall Effect Joysticks: Delivering enhanced recentering performance for smoother control and superior anti-drift capability. Plus, with anti-friction rings.
  • 2-Way Trigger Lock: With trigger stops, gamers can toggle between short and long pull positions. Additionally, gamers can activate hair trigger mode by pressing M+LT/RT (triggers must be in the long pull position).
  • 1000Hz Polling Rate: This ensures that your inputs are registered almost instantaneously, minimizing lag and maximizing your performance during competitive play.
  • Mechanical Circular D-pad: Designed for quick reactions and accuracy in every direction, this D-pad elevates your gaming experience with superior responsiveness.

Do not change V-sync and the frame cap simultaneously while diagnosing a problem. First observe the game with one choice, then test the other under the same resolution and display mode. That gives you a meaningful comparison on your own monitor.

5. Treat undocumented effects as optional experiments

The current official demo page does not document ray tracing, upscaling, frame generation, or specific low, medium, and high presets. Do not expect those controls to exist, and do not use a guide for another game as proof that they are available here. If your build exposes an effect, record the default, change only that setting, and check both clarity and frame pacing before keeping it.

A handheld guide for the original Gravity Circuit recommends FHD, fullscreen, V-sync off, and an uncapped frame cap for its profiles, while noting that ray tracing and upsampling were unsupported there. That guide concerns the predecessor, not this sequel demo, so it is only a cautious reference point. It cannot establish the sequel’s menu layout or performance.

Graphics troubleshooting by symptom

Symptom First change What to check next
Uneven motion or periodic hitching Lower the frame cap to a rate the PC can sustain. Test both stages at the same cap; do not judge from a menu or a short idle period.
Horizontal tearing Enable V-sync. If the game becomes less responsive, compare with V-sync off and a lower stable cap.
Soft or blurry image Return to native resolution and verify the aspect ratio. Check whether an in-game scaling option is active; the demo does not publish its exact scaling controls.
Stretched image or black bars Use the display’s native aspect ratio or 16:9 when available. Try fullscreen and borderless separately, changing no other setting.
Performance remains poor at every setting Use the lowest resolution or quality choice the menu actually provides. Because requirements have no posted value, compare another Windows machine or wait for an official requirements update rather than assuming a particular component is supported.

Should you use a controller or keyboard?

A gamepad is the recommended starting point because SteamDB records full controller support and “Gamepad Preferred.” The same metadata lists DualShock Controllers and DualSense Controllers specifically. A wired or wireless PC gamepad that Steam recognizes should therefore be the first device to test; no particular model is required by the available documentation.

Input option Advantages Things to verify
Gamepad Official metadata favors it; analog movement and familiar face, shoulder, and trigger placement suit a console-style platformer. Confirm that Steam detects it, that prompts match the buttons you press, and that every action is reachable without releasing movement.
Keyboard Discrete keys can feel precise for players who prefer digital movement and can be easier to use when no controller is available. The demo’s published information does not provide a keyboard layout or confirm the extent of keyboard remapping. Check the demo’s controls menu before relying on a custom arrangement.
Adaptive or specialized hardware May be valuable when a standard pad is not comfortable or accessible. The demo’s published information does not confirm adaptive-controller integration or a specific compatibility program. Test through Steam Input and the game’s own options before purchase.

Set up a gamepad in Steam

  1. Connect the wired or wireless controller and confirm that Windows sees it.
  2. Open the Steam desktop client, go to Library, right-click the demo, choose Properties, and open the Controller section. Steam’s labels can change; use the controller settings attached to the game rather than a global profile if both are shown.
  3. Leave the default layout enabled for the first run. This gives you the clearest way to compare the on-screen prompts with the physical buttons.
  4. Launch the demo and use the first tutorial or movement area to test walking, jumping, attacks, defensive actions, and any burst or circuit commands that are introduced.
  5. If a move is awkward to reach, return to the game’s controls menu or Steam Input and remap one action at a time. Keep a written note of the change so that an on-screen prompt does not surprise you later.

SteamDB’s metadata confirms DualShock and DualSense support, but it does not require a specific connection method. If a wireless pad is not detected, connect it by USB, confirm Steam Input sees it, then try wireless again. If the game shows the wrong glyphs, use the layout that matches the physical controller and test every critical action before starting a stage.

DualSense and DualShock on PC

Yes, SteamDB lists both DualShock Controllers and DualSense Controllers for the demo. That establishes compatibility metadata, not a promise of every platform-specific feature. The demo’s published information does not confirm adaptive triggers, haptic feedback, battery reporting, or a particular icon set. Connect the controller, verify the prompts in the tutorial, and use Steam Input if the native layout is not correct.

Which character suits each input style?

Kai is the melee-focused Gravity Circuit character, so his encounters put you close to hazards and enemies. Cable is the long-range Power Circuit character, allowing you to engage from farther away. This is a gameplay distinction, not a claim that one character is objectively easier or that either requires a particular device. Try both before finalizing a remap: an arrangement that feels comfortable for repeated close-range actions may not be ideal for Cable’s ranged commands.

Accessibility: what is known and what you must check

The demo’s published information does not document a complete accessibility feature list for the demo. The Steam listing exposes English interface and subtitle metadata, but that is not a detailed accessibility specification. No source confirms the following features:

Feature Status in available documentation How to verify
Color-blind modes Not confirmed Open the in-game options and look for color or display presets; test them in both stages.
Subtitle size, background, or speaker labels Not confirmed Check subtitle controls in the options menu rather than assuming the English subtitle metadata implies customization.
Full button remapping Not confirmed Try remapping every essential action in the game menu and Steam Input. Partial remapping is not the same as full remapping.
One-button assists or difficulty assists Not confirmed Look for assist, accessibility, or gameplay sections and test whether they affect timing, damage, or input complexity.
Screen-reader support Not confirmed Check the options menu and Steam accessibility tools; do not infer support from subtitle availability.
Adaptive-controller integration Not confirmed Connect the device through Steam Input and verify each required action in the tutorial.

A practical accessibility check before playing a stage

  1. From the title screen, open Options and inspect every tab, including controls, display, audio, subtitles, and gameplay.
  2. Turn subtitles on if you need them, then confirm that text appears during the tutorial and that important instructions are not hidden behind another overlay.
  3. Test the smallest set of actions you need: movement, jump, attack, pause, and any defensive or burst command introduced by the demo.
  4. If the game offers remapping, assign controls without creating duplicate inputs that could trigger an unintended action. Test the new layout immediately.
  5. Open Steam’s per-game controller configuration and check whether Steam Input can supply a missing binding or alternate device. Steam Input cannot guarantee that every in-game prompt or menu will respond correctly, so test the actual demo.
  6. Write down any missing feature before beginning a timed session. That makes it easier to restore the previous layout or explain the limitation to another player.

Because no published information confirms color filters, scalable subtitles, screen-reader output, one-button assists, or adaptive support, do not promise those features to another player. The reliable answer is to inspect the installed demo and confirm the exact controls you personally need.

Hardware and performance expectations

The official Steam system-requirements field has no posted value. No independent benchmark, minimum specification, or recommended specification is available in the published information. You can still prepare a useful baseline:

  • Use a Windows PC with a display that can run its native resolution and refresh rate.
  • Keep the gamepad connected before launch if you want controller prompts from the first screen.
  • Play both Kernel City and Artificial Lake when judging performance; a short opening section is not enough to establish a stable cap.
  • Record your resolution, display mode, V-sync state, and frame cap when troubleshooting so that each test is comparable.

Do not interpret the absence of a published requirement as proof that every low-power laptop or handheld will run the demo identically. Until an official specification is posted, the best evidence is your own frame pacing at the settings above.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Three useful configuration profiles

Profile Settings Best for
Balanced desktop Native resolution, 16:9, fullscreen, stable frame cap, V-sync chosen according to tearing tolerance Most players using one monitor who want a clear image and predictable motion.
Lowest-latency test Native resolution if sustained, fullscreen, V-sync off, conservative cap that never fluctuates Players prioritizing immediate input and willing to tolerate tearing.
Clean-display test Native resolution, fullscreen or borderless, V-sync on, stable cap Players who find tearing distracting and prefer a continuous-looking image.

These profiles deliberately avoid named quality presets and advanced effects because the current demo page does not document them. If your build exposes additional controls, change one at a time and keep the profile that remains readable and consistent in both stages.

Quick decision guide

  • You own a standard PC gamepad: connect it first; SteamDB’s “Gamepad Preferred” metadata makes it the sensible baseline.
  • You own a DualSense or DualShock: use it; both are listed as supported, then verify prompts and bindings in the tutorial.
  • You have no controller: inspect the controls menu for keyboard bindings and test every required action before committing to a stage. The demo’s published information does not provide the keyboard layout.
  • You see tearing: enable V-sync and compare responsiveness.
  • You see stutter: lower the frame cap to a rate the PC can maintain and test both stages.
  • You need a specific accessibility feature: open the in-game options and Steam Input configuration and confirm it directly; the available documentation does not guarantee any detailed toggle.

Bottom line

Use a Steam-recognized gamepad, native resolution, fullscreen, and a stable frame cap as your first setup for the Gravity Circuit 2 demo. SteamDB confirms full controller support plus DualShock and DualSense support. Choose V-sync based on whether latency or tear-free motion is more important to you. Since the demo’s requirements, advanced graphics controls, and accessibility menu are not fully published, verify those items in your own installation instead of relying on settings from the original game or on assumptions about standard PC features.
