There is no verified, current-build settings recipe or low-end PC benchmark for Burning Sword: Death Sun. Start with the lowest graphics preset available, reduce render resolution gradually if the game offers that control, and test one change at a time. Treat this as a troubleshooting starting point—not a tested configuration or a promise of a particular frame rate.
What to lower first
- Select the lowest available preset. The available preset names and their effects have not been established for the current build.
- Reduce render resolution incrementally, if that option exists. Check image clarity as well as smoothness; lowering resolution can make the picture less sharp.
- Disable optional effects only if you want to. Turn off one effect at a time, then compare how the game looks and feels. Do not assume a specific effect is available or that switching it off will improve performance.
- Test each change separately. Play the same section where performance is troublesome and pay attention to both moment-to-moment smoothness and stutter. If a change harms clarity without making play feel steadier, restore it.
This process is generic troubleshooting guidance, not a configuration measured on this game. No authoritative guide to the current graphics menu or controlled low-end PC benchmark establishes which individual settings have the greatest effect.
Check your PC against the published requirements
Steam lists these requirements for Burning Sword: Death Sun. They are specifications, not verified frame-rate targets; meeting the minimum does not establish that the game will run at a particular FPS. Steam also lists the title as a wuxia hack-and-slash/action game powered by Unreal Engine 5 (Steam store listing).
| Component | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| Operating system | Windows 10 64-bit or later | 64-bit OS; Steam wording says Windows 10 64-bit or later |
| CPU | AMD Ryzen 5 2600X or Intel Core i5-8600 | AMD Ryzen 5 5600X or Intel Core i5-11600K |
| Memory | 16 GB RAM | 16 GB RAM |
| GPU | AMD Radeon RX 5700 or NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 | AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT or NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 |
| DirectX | Version 12 | Version 12 |
| Storage | 50 GB available; Steam’s note says 15 GB SATA SSD | 50 GB available; Steam’s note says 15 GB PCIe-compatible SSD |
The two storage figures are reproduced as Steam presents them; the listing does not explain how they relate. Compare your CPU, GPU and memory to the published minimum before spending time on graphics tweaks. If your GPU is below the stated minimum, settings changes may still be worth trying, but there is no evidence here that they will make performance acceptable.

What earlier player reports can—and cannot—tell you
Community posts about an earlier demo or prologue mention fluctuating frame rates, stutter, and player experimentation with quality settings and DLSS. One player said they used DLSS Balanced in that earlier demo context; other comments described subsequent upscaling changes and continuing instability. Those reports are version-specific anecdotes, not confirmation that the current build includes DLSS or any particular upscaling mode, and they do not establish a measurable performance gain. (Steam community discussion)
An impression posted by Steam user styx971 on June 14, 2025, says they first turned off motion blur because it did not suit their preference. That is a personal visual preference, not evidence that disabling motion blur improves performance. (Steam demo impressions)

Why there is no exact “best settings” table
The available sources do not establish which graphics options appear in the current build, how those options affect performance, or which combination produces stable play on below-minimum hardware. Naming specific shadow, foliage, view-distance, ray-tracing, DLSS, FSR or frame-generation settings—or assigning them performance gains—would go beyond the evidence. Use the controls actually shown in your game and judge changes on your own PC rather than relying on a preset recipe that has not been verified.
