There are no verified “best” PC graphics settings for Rainbow Six Tactics yet. Ubisoft has not published final PC system requirements, performance targets, or a completed graphics-options list. The current PC closed-test notice says its recommended configuration is provisional and that final recommendations will be shared after optimization. Any article giving exact values for textures, shadows, anti-aliasing, upscaling, or FPS targets now would be speculation.
This guide separates confirmed information from unknowns, explains why Rainbow Six Siege settings cannot be copied across, and gives you a rigorous method for finding the right settings when the final PC build and options menu are available.

What Ubisoft has confirmed
Rainbow Six Tactics is an upcoming turn-based, single-player game in the Rainbow Six universe. Ubisoft describes it as coming to Xbox Series X|S and Xbox on PC. That makes it a separate product from Rainbow Six Siege, with its own engine configuration, rendering workload, and performance requirements.
| Evidence | Confirmed detail | What it means for PC settings |
|---|---|---|
| Ubisoft announcement | Upcoming turn-based, single-player title for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox on PC. | The game is not a competitive real-time shooter whose settings can be assumed from another Rainbow Six release. |
| Current Steam Community test notice | The closed test is PC-only through Ubisoft Connect. Its recommended configuration is not final; final recommendations will be communicated after optimization. | Test-build requirements and performance should not be treated as launch specifications. |
| PC configuration report dated August 31, 2026 | No PC configuration had been communicated at that time; the report described a planned 2027 PC release. | The 2027 timing is planning information, not a substitute for an official final release specification. |
| Current PCGamingWiki listing | The game is recorded as upcoming, with no confirmed states for resolution support, anti-aliasing, VSync, HDR, or upscaling. | There is no reliable list of graphics toggles or display modes to tune yet. |
Why an exact preset would be misleading
A useful preset requires a shipping build, a known driver version, defined hardware, and repeatable measurements. Tactics is still in pre-release testing, and Ubisoft explicitly says the test recommendation can change after optimization. A setting that performs well in a closed test could be removed, renamed, or substantially different at launch.

No authoritative source currently supplies a minimum CPU, recommended CPU, GPU tier, VRAM requirement, memory requirement, storage requirement, supported resolutions, frame-rate target, or benchmark result. There is also no published average-FPS or one-percent-low measurement. Those absences are the reason a precise “60 FPS” or “144 FPS” profile cannot be responsibly written.
Can your PC run Rainbow Six Tactics?
Not definitively. Until Ubisoft publishes final requirements, there is no evidence-based pass/fail check for a particular processor or graphics card. A PC that runs another Rainbow Six game is not automatically validated for Tactics, because the two games are separate titles and Tactics has not disclosed its final renderer or feature set.
If you are considering an upgrade solely for this game, wait for the official requirements and independent launch testing. Buying a GPU, monitor, controller, or other component on the assumption that an unannounced specification will be met risks paying for hardware that is unnecessary—or still insufficient.
What you can record now
- Your CPU model and core/thread configuration.
- Your GPU model and installed VRAM.
- System memory capacity.
- Monitor resolution and refresh rate.
- Your current graphics-driver version and Windows version.
These notes will let you compare your machine with the final minimum and recommended tables as soon as Ubisoft publishes them. They are an inventory, not a prediction of performance.

Do not copy Rainbow Six Siege settings
Rainbow Six Siege is a different game. Its competitive, real-time workload, rendering pipeline, graphics menu, and frame-rate targets cannot establish what Tactics will require. Lowering a Siege option may have no equivalent in Tactics, and a setting available in Siege may not exist in the new title. Use Siege only as a separate game with its own configuration; do not present its values as Tactics recommendations.
Graphics options that remain unconfirmed
The following features have no confirmed launch state in the available information:
| Feature | Current status | What must be confirmed later |
|---|---|---|
| Resolution and display modes | Not confirmed | Supported resolutions, exclusive fullscreen or borderless modes, windowed behavior, and ultrawide support. |
| Anti-aliasing | Not confirmed | Available methods, quality levels, temporal behavior, and whether a method is tied to an upscaler. |
| VSync and frame limiting | Not confirmed | Whether VSync is offered, how frame caps work, and whether caps apply in menus or cutscenes. |
| HDR | Not confirmed | HDR support, calibration controls, and whether Windows HDR is required. |
| Upscaling or image-quality modes | Not confirmed | Supported technologies, render-scale controls, sharpening, and quality presets. |
| Textures, shadows, effects, and post-processing | Not confirmed | Individual quality levels, VRAM behavior, and their measured impact on frame time. |
“Not confirmed” does not mean a feature will be absent. It means there is no reliable public confirmation yet.

How to establish the best settings when the final build arrives
Use a repeatable test rather than changing several options at once. The process below is designed for the first public build that includes final or near-final recommendations.
Rank #3
- AI Performance: 767 AI TOPS
- OC mode: 2632 MHz (OC mode)/ 2602 MHz (Default mode)
- Powered by the NVIDIA Blackwell architecture and DLSS 4
- Axial-tech fan design features a smaller fan hub that facilitates longer blades and a barrier ring that increases downward air pressure
- A 2.5-slot design maximizes compatibility and cooling efficiency for superior performance in small chassis
- Record the build. Write down the game version, operating-system version, graphics-driver version, CPU, GPU, VRAM, system memory, monitor resolution, and refresh rate.
- Choose a fixed test scene. Use the same mission, camera position, lighting conditions, and activity for every run. A repeatable scene matters more than a quick look at the opening menu.
- Start at the native display resolution. Test the resolution you actually intend to use before changing render scale or an upscaler. Note whether the menu offers exclusive fullscreen, borderless, or windowed modes.
- Establish a baseline. Select the default or recommended preset supplied by the final build, then measure average FPS and one-percent-low FPS after the scene has settled. Record frametime consistency, not only the headline average.
- Change one category at a time. Test image-quality mode or upscaling first, then shadows, effects, post-processing, and textures. Keep every other option fixed so the result is attributable.
- Check image quality at the camera distance you use. A setting that looks acceptable during a close inspection may blur distant characters, edges, or tactical overlays. Judge clarity during actual play, not only in a static screenshot.
- Repeat at your target frame rate. If the game offers a frame cap, compare a stable cap with an uncapped run. Report the cap and display refresh rate alongside the measured result.
- Validate after loading and scene changes. Tactical missions can vary in lighting, effects, and unit density. Re-test a demanding scene so the preset does not optimize only an easy area.
Minimum data for a credible benchmark
| Item | Record |
|---|---|
| Software | Game build, operating system, graphics driver, and any active upscaling or image-quality mode. |
| Hardware | CPU model, GPU model, VRAM, and system memory. |
| Display | Resolution, refresh rate, HDR state if supported, and display mode. |
| Settings | Preset plus individual values for textures, shadows, effects, post-processing, anti-aliasing, VSync, and frame cap when available. |
| Results | Average FPS, one-percent-low FPS, test duration, scene description, and whether the result was repeated. |
Without this context, an FPS number is difficult to reproduce and should not be used as a universal recommendation.
How to choose between image quality and performance
The final menu may use different names, but the trade-offs are predictable enough to guide testing once the options are exposed.
Resolution and render scale
Resolution changes the number of pixels drawn and therefore usually has a large performance effect. Render scale or an upscaler can reduce internal resolution while outputting to your monitor’s resolution. Compare native rendering with each available quality mode at the same output resolution, and inspect fine edges and text for reconstruction artifacts.
Outdated Drivers Are Slowing You Down

Texture quality primarily affects video-memory use and surface detail. If the final menu exposes texture levels, test them at the native resolution and watch for streaming stutter or visible texture swaps, not just average FPS.

Shadows
Shadow quality can affect both GPU workload and scene readability. Compare a demanding mission with multiple light sources before lowering it. Record whether a lower level removes important contact or directional cues.
Effects and post-processing
Effects may cover explosions, smoke, lighting transitions, or other temporary events; post-processing may include blur, bloom, depth of field, or sharpening. Evaluate these during active turns and camera movement. Do not assume that the lowest value is best for visibility until you have checked the actual game.
Anti-aliasing, VSync, and frame caps
Anti-aliasing changes edge stability, while VSync and frame caps affect latency, tearing, and frame pacing. Test them after selecting your image-quality mode. Report the complete combination rather than claiming that one switch alone produces a universal result.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesWhat a future settings guide should publish
A trustworthy launch guide should identify its test build and hardware, then show how presets behave at more than one resolution or GPU tier. It should separate GPU-limited and CPU-limited results, include VRAM, and publish both average and one-percent-low FPS. It should also explain whether an upscaler or image-quality mode was active and describe any visible loss of detail.

The most useful comparison will cover resolution, GPU tier, CPU tier, VRAM, frame-rate target, image-quality mode or upscaling, shadows, effects, post-processing, and visibility. Until those measurements exist on a final or clearly identified build, a settings table would imply certainty that the available evidence does not support.
Where to look for the definitive answer
Use Ubisoft’s final PC system-requirements announcement and the launch graphics-options menu as the authority for supported hardware and features. Treat the current closed-test recommendation as provisional. Independent benchmarks become meaningful only when they identify the tested build, hardware, driver, resolution, and settings.
For now, the accurate recommendation is to keep your hardware record, avoid buying components for an unverified target, and wait for the finalized specification before choosing a Tactics-specific preset.
