There are no verified “best” settings or FPS numbers for JDM: Ph4ntom Driver yet because the PC version is unreleased. The official Steam listing gives a hardware baseline but no launch date, benchmark, target resolution, frame-rate target, or per-setting performance data. Start with 1920×1080, choose the lowest or balanced preset available when the game launches, cap FPS to a rate your system can sustain, and change one option at a time while watching frame time and 1% lows.

What is known about the PC version

JDM: Ph4ntom Driver is still listed on Steam with a release date of “To be announced.” The same page warns that “System requirements may change prior to release.” That means any guide promising a fixed preset, exact FPS result, or guaranteed smoothness is making a claim the available information cannot support.

The current listing is useful for planning a PC, not for predicting performance. It identifies the operating system, processor, graphics-card class, memory and storage needed for the game as currently specified. It does not identify the final graphics menu, the game’s exact Unreal Engine version, whether ray tracing will be available, or whether DLSS, FSR, XeSS or frame generation will be supported.

Current system requirements

Requirement tier Processor Graphics Memory Operating system and API Storage
Minimum listing Intel Core i7-11700K or AMD Ryzen 5 7600 Intel Arc B580, GeForce RTX 3060 Ti or Radeon RX 6700 16 GB 64-bit Windows 10 or Windows 11; DirectX 12 18 GB available space
Recommended listing Same CPU class as the current minimum listing Same GPU class as the current minimum listing 32 GB 64-bit Windows 10 or Windows 11; DirectX 12 18 GB available space

These figures are the current Gaming Factory/Steam listing accessed on October 18, 2026. The publication date of the requirement block is not separately stated, and the warning about changes remains important. Meeting the listed minimum is not a promise of a particular resolution, preset or frame rate.

What the requirement tiers imply

  • Memory: 16 GB is the listed minimum and 32 GB is the listed recommendation. If you are building or upgrading before launch, 32 GB gives more headroom for the game and background applications, but the listing does not establish a specific memory-speed or kit requirement.
  • Graphics: The named cards define a performance class, not an FPS guarantee. A card below that class should be treated as a risk rather than assumed to deliver smooth play.
  • Storage: Keep at least 18 GB available for the current listing. Patches and additional files can require more free space than the base figure.
  • API and OS: The listing requires a 64-bit Windows 10 or 11 installation and DirectX 12.

Can an RTX 3060 Ti run JDM: Ph4ntom Driver?

The GeForce RTX 3060 Ti is explicitly named in the current minimum graphics requirement and remains in the same GPU class shown for the recommended tier. On the information available today, it is a sensible baseline card for trying the game at launch. That does not establish an FPS result: no reproducible benchmark, target resolution or preset test has been published.

For a 3060 Ti system, also check the rest of the listing. The processor should be at least an i7-11700K or Ryzen 5 7600 class, memory should be 16 GB or more, and the system should run 64-bit Windows 10 or 11 with DirectX 12. If your CPU, RAM or GPU falls below those entries, plan for compromises and do not assume that lowering image quality will solve a CPU or memory limitation.

Best starting settings when the game launches

The following is a conservative setup procedure, not a tested Ph4ntom Driver preset. It is designed to produce a stable baseline that you can measure on your own hardware once the final options menu exists.

  1. Confirm the hardware baseline. Compare your CPU, GPU, RAM, operating system, DirectX 12 support and available storage with the current Steam table. Record your hardware so later changes can be evaluated.
  2. Select 1920×1080. Begin at 1080p rather than a higher resolution while you establish performance. Use the monitor’s native resolution only after you know the game can hold your chosen frame cap.
  3. Choose the lowest or balanced preset. The final names are not confirmed. If the launch build offers Low, Medium, High or Balanced presets, use the lowest or balanced option for the first run, then raise individual settings instead of switching everything at once.
  4. Set a sustainable frame-rate cap. Pick a cap your system can hold consistently in the busiest route or scene you can reproduce. A stable cap is preferable to an uncapped result that repeatedly jumps between high and low frame rates.
  5. Build a repeatable test route. Use the same race, city section, weather condition or camera view for each comparison. A repeatable route makes a setting change meaningful; changing the scene at the same time hides the effect of the option.
  6. Measure frame time and 1% lows. Average FPS alone can conceal hitching. When your monitoring software provides them, record average FPS, frame time and 1% lows for every change. Keep a short log of the setting, resolution and result.
  7. Change one option at a time. Apply a single change, repeat the route and compare the result. If you alter shadows, reflections, resolution scale and world detail together, you cannot tell which trade-off produced the improvement.

How to tune settings after the baseline

Because the final graphics menu is not published, the option names below are decision categories rather than confirmed menu entries. Apply them only if the launch build exposes the corresponding control.

If the GPU is the bottleneck

When GPU usage is consistently high and reducing visual quality improves frame time, lower resolution scale or the heaviest image-quality options first. Shadows and reflections are common high-cost categories, so test them individually if they appear in the menu. Lowering resolution scale usually improves performance more directly than changing a minor texture or interface option, but it also has the most visible effect on sharpness.

If the CPU is the bottleneck

If the GPU is not fully occupied while frame time remains high, test options related to simulation, crowds, traffic, world detail or view distance if the game provides them. These are conditional troubleshooting steps, not measured Ph4ntom Driver results. A lower resolution will not reliably fix a processor-limited scene.

If streaming or traversal causes hitching

Use frame-time spikes, rather than average FPS, to identify traversal stutter. If the menu includes world-detail, view-distance or streaming controls, test a lower value and repeat the same route. Keep the setting change isolated so you can distinguish a streaming improvement from a general FPS increase.

If an upscaler is available

DLSS, FSR and XeSS support has not been confirmed by the official listing. If the released game includes one of these modes, compare its quality settings at the same output resolution and frame cap. Record whether the mode changes image clarity, ghosting or frame-time consistency, rather than assuming that every upscaler behaves the same.

If ray tracing or frame generation is available

Ray tracing and frame generation are also unconfirmed. Treat them as optional experiments after you have a stable non-ray-traced baseline. Test native or standard upscaling performance first, then enable one feature at a time. A generated-frame counter should not replace checking input feel and actual rendered frame time.

Understanding FPS expectations

No official FPS target has been published for JDM: Ph4ntom Driver. The Steam page supplies hardware requirements but no benchmark results, resolution target or frame-rate claim. Therefore, numbers such as “60 FPS at 1080p” or “144 FPS on a 3060 Ti” cannot be presented as verified expectations.

Use a frame-rate target that matches what your system can sustain in its heaviest repeatable scene. If an uncapped run fluctuates, cap below the observed worst-case rate and check whether frame-time spikes become less frequent. This approach favors consistent motion over a higher headline average.

A practical stutter-troubleshooting checklist

  • Verify the symptom: Log frame time and 1% lows, not only average FPS. A high average with severe spikes still feels uneven.
  • Reproduce it: Return to the same route, race or camera movement so you can test one change against the same workload.
  • Classify the limit: High GPU load points toward resolution scale, shadows, reflections or other image-quality options. Low GPU load with poor frame time points toward CPU-heavy simulation, crowds or world detail, if those controls exist.
  • Use a cap: Test a stable cap instead of an uncapped mode. Compare frame-time graphs before and after the cap.
  • Check memory headroom: The current listing specifies 16 GB minimum and 32 GB recommended. Systems near the minimum may have less room for background applications, but the listing does not provide a title-specific memory benchmark.
  • Retest after patches: The Steam page says requirements may change before release. Recheck performance after launch updates instead of assuming an old result still applies.

How to evaluate future presets or manual options

Once a launch build and reliable measurements exist, compare settings using the same criteria rather than relying on preset names alone:

Comparison axis What to record Why it matters
Resolution Output resolution and resolution scale Separates display sharpness from rendering workload.
Consistency Sustained frame time and 1% lows Shows hitching and worst-case smoothness that an average FPS can hide.
Lighting quality Shadow and reflection settings These can carry a large GPU cost when the scene is complex.
World detail View distance, crowd, traffic and streaming behavior These settings can affect CPU load and traversal hitching.
Upscaling Mode and quality level Shows the performance gain alongside image-quality changes.
Advanced rendering Ray tracing or frame generation status Prevents an apparently faster result from being compared with a different rendering path.

Epic Games’ Unreal Engine guidance notes that the large number of PC hardware combinations makes one universal recommendation impractical and advises profiling and stat tools to quantify performance. That principle applies here: a measured result from your CPU, GPU, resolution and patch is more useful than a preset label copied from another machine.

What is still unconfirmed

  • The release date remains to be announced.
  • The final graphics menu and exact engine version have not been confirmed by the Steam listing.
  • No title-specific FPS benchmark or resolution target is available.
  • DLSS, FSR, XeSS, ray tracing and frame generation support are not confirmed.
  • No reproducible per-setting ranking exists for shadows, reflections, world detail, streaming or other options.

Until those details are published and tested on a released build, the reliable advice is to meet the current hardware baseline, begin at 1080p with a conservative preset, cap to a sustainable rate and tune from measured frame-time data.
