There is no source-supported, universally best guest type in Two Point Museum. The best visitors to attract are the ones whose interests fit your exhibits and whose needs your museum can meet. The game has 18 visitor types, but official sources do not rank them by profit or provide a complete list of their preferences.
What makes a guest type a good target?
Choose a visitor type by how well it fits the museum you have now—not by assuming one archetype always earns more. Compare potential targets on three practical questions:

- Exhibit fit: Do you have displays and themed areas that appeal to that type?
- Specific preferences: Can you provide any particular food or experience they want?
- Museum readiness: Can guests reach suitable facilities and enjoy a clean, informative museum?
These are decision-making criteria, not an official scoring system. The available official descriptions do not establish which guest type is most profitable or easiest to satisfy.
How to attract visitors whose interests fit your museum
Check visitor information and your current exhibits
Use the in-game visitor information and museum needs to see what guests are responding to and where their needs are going unmet. Pick a target that complements displays you already have, rather than building a campaign around a type your museum cannot serve.
#1 Best Overall
- DESIGN - Get creative to design your museum layout your way! Design thematic areas to guide your guests’ visit. Splash paint and lay carpet as you lovingly arrange each prehistoric fern, potentially melting iceman, and dinosaur remains wherever you see fit.
- EXPLORE - Coordinate Experts on far-flung expeditions to discover rare artifacts to entice droves of knowledge-hungry guests who will expect top info-tainment if they’re to leave impressed.
- MANAGE - Guests know best! The different types of guests who will frequent your museum may have different interests, but they do have some things in common… they expect the place to be kept clean, have plenty of refreshments, ample toilets, and a gift shop filled with goodies.

Use themed areas and targeted marketing
The layout of exhibits affects visitor mood, and themed areas can help guide visitor flow. Targeted marketing can bring in a chosen visitor type. Pair the campaign with displays that suit that audience: Xbox Wire gives science enthusiasts, goths, children who touch things, and dinosaur fans as examples of visitors with differing interests. Those examples are illustrative, not a complete list of the game’s 18 types. (Xbox Wire’s Two Point Museum feature)
Meet shared needs before changing your target
Visitors share basic expectations: a clean museum, refreshments, toilets, a gift shop, and exhibits that teach them and are kept in good condition. If feedback points to a service or exhibit problem, address it before concluding that the visitor type itself is a poor choice. The PlayStation Store and SEGA both emphasize facilities and visitor happiness. (PlayStation Store game description; Two Point Studios: Two Point Museum)

What the official examples tell you—and what they do not
The official descriptions confirm 18 visitor types with distinct preferences. Examples include science enthusiasts, goths, children who touch displays, dinosaur fans, botany fans, people seeking haunted or horror experiences, and an alien visitor with a cheese-related cafeteria preference. They demonstrate why matching exhibits and services matters, but they do not establish the exact preferences of every type or provide a comparative ranking.
In particular, no official figure in the cited sources shows that one archetype generates more revenue than another. Treat claims that a single guest is objectively “best” with caution unless they are backed by current, clearly explained in-game evidence.
Use tours and high-Buzz exhibits to enrich the visit
Tours can add to the guest experience. The PlayStation Store description says exhibits with high Buzz, good quality, ample information, and attractive decoration are likely to attract more donations. “Likely” is not a guarantee, and the source does not give a donation percentage. Focus on making exhibits informative, well maintained, and appealing rather than relying on an unsupported earnings promise.

- Review the in-game visitor information. Note which types and needs are relevant to your current museum.
- Choose a type that matches your exhibits. Prefer a target you can serve with displays and themed areas already in place.
- Check whether you can meet its specific preferences. Account for any distinctive experience or food request you know how to provide.
- Set up the route and shared facilities. Make sure guests can reach refreshments, toilets, a gift shop, and clean, informative exhibits.
- Use targeted marketing, then watch the feedback. Correct unmet needs and adjust the layout before switching targets.
This approach treats “best” as a fit for your museum’s current collection and capabilities. Official sources describe the broad mechanics and representative visitor examples, but do not publish an exhaustive preference roster.
