EA says the EA app replaced Origin on PC and Mac. EA lists the Windows app for 64-bit Windows 10 and Windows 11, and says it is required to launch EA games on PC through Steam or Epic. If you’re returning to an older EA library, check the current EA app and account before assuming a particular game is still available to you.

How graphics settings affect performance
Visual quality and smooth performance can be a trade-off. In a technical article about Assassin’s Creed Origins, Ubisoft producer Jose Araiza explains that its dynamic resolution rendering can adjust resolution on the fly to keep the frame rate near a selected target. Ubisoft also describes target and maximum frame-rate settings, an in-game benchmark and performance analysis, and a resolution multiplier.
These controls can help you evaluate and tune that game on your own system; they do not mean every PC game uses the same options or will perform identically.
