Set the stream target and encoder settings
YouTube’s official encoder guidance supports RTMP/RTMPS and H.264, H.265/HEVC and AV1 video, up to 60 fps. For H.264, YouTube recommends the following ingest bitrates:

These are YouTube’s published ingest recommendations, not measurements of what the N100 can encode. Choose a resolution and frame rate that match the source and your reliable upload capacity; a higher output target is not automatically better for a static or low-motion service recording. YouTube recommends a two-second keyframe interval and says not to exceed four seconds. Use CBR, and use RTMPS where your encoder offers it: YouTube recommends the secure extension to RTMP.

YouTube advises testing before going live with audio and video movement similar to the real stream. Speed-test the church’s upload connection, run the intended encoder settings with representative content, and monitor YouTube’s stream health. A speed test alone does not prove the connection will remain stable during the service.
Prepare the local setup before purchase and launch
- Confirm the workload. Identify whether the stream is a prerecorded file or includes live cameras, a mixer, multiple scenes or overlays. For live production, verify the capture devices and complete scene workflow with the specific system.
