No map in Escape from Tarkov has been shown to earn the most roubles per raid. The most recent guides available for this question, the Tarkov Field Guide’s progression and high-value loot guides for Patch 1.1.5.0 (September 2026), do not publish a comparable income figure for any map. What they do support is a conditional answer. For steady, lower-risk income, use the outskirts of Shoreline or the Woods stashes. For a higher ceiling, use key-dependent high-value rooms on several maps, but only if you can extract with what you take.
Why no map has a verified money ranking
Three things stop a single winner from being supported. First, the guides do not give an average roubles-per-raid figure for any map, and they do not claim one exists. Second, loot pools and item prices change between patches, so any ruble value goes stale quickly. The high-value guide warns about exactly this. Third, neither guide is an official developer ranking. They are guide-author judgment about risk, route and extraction.

That leaves two different goals that readers often mix up. Highest possible loot is the most valuable single haul a map can offer, usually from locked or marked rooms. Most repeatable net income is what you keep after losses, key costs and failed extracts, averaged over many raids. The guides point to different maps for each goal.
| Route type | Where the guides point | Average roubles per raid (per the guides, Patch 1.1.5.0) | Main cost or risk the guides name |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lower-risk stash looting | Shoreline outskirts; Woods stashes | Not stated | Avoid the Resort and sawmill hot zones; lower conflict but lower ceiling |
| Key-dependent high-value rooms | Customs, Reserve, Shoreline, Interchange, Labs, Streets, Lighthouse | Not stated | Key expense, competition inside rooms, and the chance of dying before extraction |
The lower-risk default: Shoreline outskirts and Woods stashes
For a player who wants the most dependable income with the least conflict, the progression guide recommends the outskirts of Shoreline and the Woods stashes. The guide frames this as a route for lower risk. It does not say either map has the highest average return.

Shoreline outskirts
The guide’s advice for this goal is to stay out of the Resort. The Resort is the highest-conflict area on the map for this purpose, so a route built around the outskirts trades some loot ceiling for fewer fights. Running the outskirts repeatedly also builds the familiarity that makes extraction reliable.
Woods stashes
The guide also recommends Woods stashes for income, with the same caution about the sawmill hot zone. Stash-focused routes depend on knowing where the containers are and having an exit ready. Those are the two things a new player usually lacks.

Key-dependent routes for high-value loot
The high-value guide (also Patch 1.1.5.0, September 2026) lists map-specific key and room opportunities. These are potential targets, not guaranteed profit. The guide lists them as follows.
| Map | Target the guide lists | What the guide says to watch |
|---|---|---|
| Customs | Dorm room 314 | Access is not a guarantee of valuable loot |
| Reserve | Marked-room keys | Key cost and competition for the room |
| Shoreline | Resort access | The Resort is the high-conflict area avoided on the lower-risk route |
| Interchange | KIBA and 11SR | Old key prices may no longer apply |
| Labs | Colored cards | Loot and access can change between patches |
| Streets and Lighthouse | Marked rooms | Room access does not guarantee valuable loot |
The high-value guide adds three specific warnings. Do not treat room access as guaranteed valuable loot. Do not plan around key prices you remember from earlier patches. Do not carry expensive keys that do not belong to your route. Each of these is a common way a planned high-value run loses money before it starts.

Weighing the trade-off
Judge each map against the same checklist before you commit a loadout:
- Risk: Can you avoid the high-conflict areas and still reach a known exit?
- Loot concentration: Is the route built on ordinary containers and stashes, or on contested locked and marked rooms?
- Entry cost: Does the run need a paid key, and how many uses will you realistically get from it?
- Route familiarity: Do you know where the loot is and at least one backup exit?
- Value per inventory slot: Are your items valuable for their size? Filling a bag with low-value weight lowers the return on every raid.
- Freshness: Have you checked current loot behaviour and sale prices since the last update?
Checking map data before a run
The official Escape from Tarkov Wiki’s interactive maps show markers for extracts, loot, keys, quests, caches, spawns and transits. Update dates differ from page to page, so check the date on the page for the marker you are relying on. Tarkov.dev is a community-maintained, open-source toolkit and live-data resource for checking prices. Its dynamic tools need JavaScript enabled.

A decision rule for choosing your map
- Start with a map you already navigate. If you do not know one well, run a scav first to scout its exits and loot locations before you risk a PMC loadout.
- Before each raid, name your primary extract and one backup on the map you chose.
- Check the current sale price of the items you plan to target, and note the date you checked.
- Use the lower-risk stash route as your baseline. Add a key-dependent room only when you already hold its key or the route and extraction plan are realistic for you.
- Judge the map by your own results. Across several raids, subtract key costs and lost gear from the value you extracted. The map with the best average net result for you is the right answer, whatever the guides say about other players.
The answer to “which map makes the most money” is therefore the one you can survive and extract from repeatedly, and the guides support that conclusion more than any single map name.
