There is no officially verified “best” preset specifically for large PvE battles in Marvel Rivals. The official guidance is to lower demanding graphics settings—texture quality is one example—and use the game’s documented troubleshooting options if stuttering continues. Treat those steps as general performance advice, not as settings tested for a particular PvE mode.
Marvel Rivals’ official store listing describes it as a PvP game, and the official material cited here does not confirm a large PvE mode. Check the current game and its official mode announcements before applying that description. The settings below are grounded in official PC and console guidance available as of October 7, 2026; feature availability can change between updates.
Start with the setting that matches the problem
Slow performance or a low frame rate calls for reducing graphics demands first. Persistent stuttering after that calls for the driver and Windows GPU-selection steps in the official FAQ. If the game freezes or crashes, an experimental shader option may be relevant on some PCs, but it has trade-offs.
| Symptom or platform | Officially documented next step | What to keep in mind |
|---|---|---|
| Slow performance on PC | Lower graphics settings; texture quality is given as an example. | The FAQ does not prescribe a universal preset or quantify an FPS gain. |
| Stuttering on PC that persists | Clean-install the latest GPU driver and set Marvel Rivals to High performance in Windows graphics settings. | The game must be added as Marvel.exe in the documented Windows route. |
| Memory-related drops, freezes, or crashes on PC | Consider Switch Shader Compilation Mode if it appears in the current launcher. | It is experimental and can cause brief rendering issues or extra stutter in some configurations. |
| PS5, PS5 Pro, or Xbox Series X | Meet the display and system requirements, then enable HFR Mode in the game. | This is console-specific; it is not a PC graphics preset. |

Lower graphics demands before changing everything
Open the game’s graphics settings and reduce demanding options, starting with texture quality. The official FAQ recommends lowering graphics settings for slow performance but does not identify a complete low, medium, or high preset. Change settings incrementally and check whether the problem improves in the same kind of gameplay; this helps identify which adjustment matters on your system.

Do not assume that meeting the minimum requirements guarantees stable performance in every encounter. The FAQ explicitly notes that a PC meeting or exceeding minimum requirements may still run slowly.
Check the official PC baseline
Marvel Rivals’ published requirements list the following for both minimum and recommended configurations. They are hardware baselines, not performance guarantees.

The FAQ recommends installing the game on an SSD for a better experience, but does not claim that an SSD raises in-match frame rates or cures stuttering.
Fix persistent PC stuttering
- Clean-install the latest graphics driver for your GPU. Use the GPU maker’s driver installer and choose its clean installation option, as the official FAQ recommends.
- Set the game to high-performance graphics in Windows. Open Settings > System > Display > Graphics, add the game’s
Marvel.exeif it is not listed, then select the High performance option for it. Windows wording can vary by version. - Restart the game and check again. If stuttering remains, the official FAQ also points players toward repairing the game client; available repair controls may differ by launcher.
These are troubleshooting steps, not a promise that every stutter has the same cause. The official guidance does not publish a measured FPS improvement for them.

PC performance options: what they do and their caveats
CPU rendering optimization test
A March 19, 2026 official notice describes an in-game CPU rendering optimization as a PC test. To try it, open Settings > Other, accept the privacy agreement, download the feature, and restart the game. Verify that the option remains available in your current client. The notice does not report a measured frame-rate gain, so judge its effect on your own system rather than expecting a specific number.
Experimental Switch Shader Compilation Mode
The official announcement dated April 10, 2025 says this experimental mode may reduce memory use and FPS drops, frozen visuals, or crashes related to memory shortages. The publisher specifically suggests considering it for players with 16 GB of RAM or less who have experienced significant drops, frozen screens, or frequent crashes. Check the current PC launcher for the option; the announcement describes activation through the launcher, but does not establish that the control is still present in every current version.

- Some materials may render abnormally for a few frames at the start of a match.
- The first rendering of some materials may stutter.
- Systems with six or fewer CPU threads may stutter more if this mode and AMD FSR3 Frame Generation are both enabled.
Because it is experimental and has these known trade-offs, it is a targeted option to consider for the described memory-related symptoms—not a default recommendation for every PC.

What the official guidance does—and does not—establish
The official sources provide general slow-performance and stutter troubleshooting, PC requirements, two PC performance-related options, and console HFR setup. They do not publish a PvE-specific graphics preset, a benchmark for large battles, or a guaranteed FPS improvement for any setting described here. Use the steps as platform-specific starting points, and confirm the mode and option availability in the current game before treating them as PvE-tested advice.
