For Hypixel Bedwars, Lunar Client is the strongest default choice on the features it documents for Bedwars, and Badlion Client is a reasonable alternative if you prefer its mod library or launcher. Neither client has been shown by independent testing to win more games or run faster. The deciding factor for most players is whether each bundled feature is allowed on the server they play.
How the two clients compare on documented features
The table below uses only what each vendor or the cited source states. “Not stated” means the feature is not mentioned in the sources reviewed, not that it is absent from the client.

Lunar’s feature list is the more specific of the two for Bedwars. That is a statement about documentation, not proof that Lunar plays better. Lunar’s Bedwars guide is marketing copy written by the client’s maker, so its superlatives should be read as promotion.
Hypixel’s rules come before feature preference
Hypixel Support’s “Hypixel Allowed Modifications” guide is the governing source for Hypixel. Three points matter most.

- Bundled clients are judged feature by feature. A client that bundles several modifications is permitted only when each included modification would be allowed on its own.
- You are responsible for disabling anything disallowed. Turning off a single prohibited module inside a bundled client is your job, not the client’s.
- Use is at your own risk. Hypixel’s wording is: “all use of modifications on our server is at your own risk, including the ones we list as examples in this guide.” Hypixel also advises obtaining modifications from their official sources.
Hypixel’s policy allows client performance improvements, aesthetic changes, and HUD changes that do not add otherwise unavailable information, subject to its guidance. It prohibits modifications or hardware that automate player actions, including auto or burst clicking, macros, auto-sprint, and aim assist. It also prohibits significant gameplay advantages and changes to client-server communication.
Lunar’s promotion of toggle sprint and hitbox display does not settle their status. Hypixel’s auto-sprint prohibition and its allowance for HUD and aesthetic changes are separate rules, and a toggle option is not automatically the same as auto-sprint. If a feature’s status is unclear, do not assume it is permitted; check the current policy before enabling it.
Checking a bundled client before you play on Hypixel
- Open Hypixel Support’s “Hypixel Allowed Modifications” guide and read the current examples.
- List every feature in the client you intend to enable, including HUD elements, timers, and input helpers.
- Check each feature against the guide on its own, not as part of the client.
- In the client’s module or settings menu, disable anything that is prohibited or unclear. Menu names vary by client and version, so locate the toggle for each module individually.
- Recheck the list after each client update, since bundled features and Hypixel’s guidance can change.
What the Lunar and Badlion acquisition update does and does not tell you
Lunar’s acquisition update says selected Badlion features are being added to Lunar. It also says Badlion would remain operational for the foreseeable future at the time of that announcement. Because this was a statement about intent at a point in time, it is not a guarantee about either client’s future feature set or support. Check each client’s current launcher and release notes before choosing.
The same update addresses the Always Swing option, saying it “does not impact actual hit mechanics.” That statement applies to that option only and should not be extended to other Lunar features.

Performance: treat FPS claims as marketing until you test
Badlion’s product page advertises FPS improvements in a marketing comparison. No like-for-like, independently verifiable Lunar-versus-Badlion Bedwars benchmark was identified in the sources reviewed, so neither client’s FPS claims should be read as a ranking. Results also depend on your hardware, drivers, Java version, and render distance.
If performance matters to you, test it yourself:
- Launch the same Minecraft version and the same Java installation in each client.
- Use identical video settings, such as render distance and graphics mode.
- In Java Edition, press F3 to open the debug screen and read the FPS value in the top-left corner.
- Record FPS in the same situation in each client, for example in a populated Bedwars base with several players nearby, and compare the averages rather than single readings.
Bedwars is not identical across servers
The sources reviewed focus on Hypixel. Bedwars is played on other servers with their own rules, so a feature that is permitted on Hypixel may not be permitted elsewhere. Apply the server’s own policy, and do not assume Hypixel’s guidance transfers.

In short, pick the client whose documented features you will actually use and whose bundled features you can verify against the server’s rules.
