What Is the Best Thing to Fuse with the Master Sword in Tears of the Kingdom?

A high-tier Lynel Saber Horn is a damage-first choice for the Master Sword, while an effect-bearing fusion may suit encounters where utility matters more.

The best thing to fuse with the Master Sword in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom depends on what you need: a high-tier Lynel Saber Horn is a damage-first pick, while an effect-bearing material such as a Gleeok part can be more useful when a fight calls for a special effect. Nintendo confirms Fuse can raise damage or add an effect, but its official guides do not rank Master Sword fusions or confirm exact damage totals.

Choose by what you want from the fusion

Fuse lets Link attach objects to weapons, shields, or arrows. Nintendo describes the ability as a way to increase durability, increase damage, or add an effect. Its beginner guide likewise says fusion can raise damage potential and durability. Those benefits point to two different ways to choose a Master Sword material: prioritize damage, or choose a useful effect for the encounter.

Nintendo’s descriptions explain what Fuse can do generally; they do not establish a definitive best material for the Master Sword. The recommendations below are examples from a game guide, not an official Nintendo ranking or a complete, quantified tier list.

For damage, consider a high-tier Lynel Saber Horn

Gamer Guides recommends a high-tier Lynel Saber Horn as a damage-focused fusion for the Master Sword. It is a reasonable pick if your priority is raw damage, but the available guidance does not verify it as the universal optimum or provide an authoritative Master Sword damage total.

For utility, choose an effect that fits the encounter

If a fight makes an added effect more valuable than raw damage, consider an effect-bearing material instead. Gamer Guides gives a Gleeok Wing as an example of a distinct utility fusion. Treat it as a situational option rather than a blanket recommendation: the right choice depends on the effect you want and the encounter you are preparing for.

How to decide

  • Want to emphasize damage? Consider a high-tier Lynel Saber Horn.
  • Need a situational effect? Consider an effect-bearing material, with a Gleeok part as a guide-suggested example.
  • Unsure which matters more? Decide whether the encounter calls for stronger hits or for an added effect; the sources do not support a quantified comparison across all materials.
