For the quickest YouTube stream from a phone, use the YouTube app. Choose Streamlabs Mobile or PRISM Live Studio if you want more on-screen production tools; consider Larix Broadcaster if you need an encoder with protocol options. The right choice depends on whether you want a simple camera or screen broadcast, a more produced gaming or IRL stream, or an encoder workflow. This is a feature-based guide to documented capabilities, not a hands-on performance ranking.
Best mobile streaming apps for YouTube, by use case
| App | Best for | Documented strengths | What to check |
|---|---|---|---|
| YouTube app | Quick camera streams, vlogs, and phone screen casting | Native streaming, scheduling, stream archives, and a private Practice Mode rolling out to creators | Your channel must meet YouTube’s mobile live eligibility rules. Some smaller channels may have audience and archive limitations. |
| Streamlabs Mobile | Scenes, overlays, alerts, screen capture, and configurable production | Streamlabs documents camera controls, audio and output settings, screen capture, and YouTube support. | Feature availability can depend on device, OS, and plan. Streamlabs describes simultaneous multistreaming as an Ultra subscription feature. |
| PRISM Live Studio | IRL and gaming streams with visual effects | YouTube’s encoder-app list describes overlays, chroma key, decoration, and beauty effects. | Confirm the feature you need is available in the current app version on your device. |
| Larix Broadcaster | Creators who need a mobile encoder with protocol flexibility | YouTube describes support for SRT, RTMP, NDI, WebRTC, and Zixi. | Most phone-only creators may not need these protocol options; check that the app fits your intended YouTube workflow. |
These descriptions summarize official documentation; they do not establish which app has the best stability, latency, battery life, or output quality in practice. Third-party features may vary by operating system, device, account, app version, and plan.
Check YouTube’s mobile live requirements first
YouTube’s mobile help currently lists these requirements: at least 50 subscribers, a verified channel, live streaming enabled, and no live-streaming restriction within the previous 90 days. First-time activation can take up to 24 hours. The page lists Android 8.0 or later and iOS 8 or later as device requirements. Age and other policy requirements also apply, so check YouTube’s current live-stream setup and restrictions before you plan a broadcast.
- Fewer than 50 subscribers: You do not meet the stated subscriber threshold for mobile live streaming in the YouTube app.
- More than 50 but fewer than 1,000 subscribers: YouTube says mobile live viewers may be limited and archives may be private by default.
- Recently passed 1,000 subscribers: YouTube says removing the audience limit can take several weeks.
Using a third-party app does not bypass YouTube’s account eligibility, restrictions, or content policies.

- 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
- 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
- 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
- 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
- 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)
How to go live from the YouTube app
- Prepare the channel: verify it, enable live streaming, and confirm that it meets the mobile requirements. If this is your first activation, allow up to 24 hours.
- Open the YouTube app: tap Create, then Live.
- Set up the broadcast: enter the stream details and select the audience and visibility settings appropriate to your stream. Review the current options shown in the app before starting.
- Choose the workflow: broadcast from the phone camera, schedule the stream, or cast your phone screen if that is the content you want to share.
- Rehearse if available: YouTube’s private Practice Mode lets creators rehearse before going live, but YouTube describes it as rolling out, so it may not appear for every account.
- End and review: YouTube creates an archive after the broadcast. You can edit or delete it; check its visibility, particularly if your channel is in the 50-to-1,000-subscriber range.
YouTube describes mobile live streaming as a way to connect with an audience in real time and build a community. See its mobile live-stream guide for the current workflow and requirements.
When Streamlabs, PRISM, or Larix makes more sense
Choose Streamlabs Mobile for a more produced broadcast
Streamlabs documents scenes, configurable output and audio settings, camera controls, screen capture, and YouTube as a supported platform. That makes it a candidate when your stream needs more than a direct camera feed. Its own product information assigns simultaneous multistreaming to its Ultra subscription; check the current plan and feature details rather than assuming every capability is included. See the Streamlabs mobile guide and Streamlabs Mobile product page.

- SUPERIOR COMFORT — Unlike traditional circular ear buds, the design of EarPods is defined by the geometry of the ear. Which makes them more comfortable for more people than any other ear bud–style headphones.
- HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO — The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
- BUILT-IN REMOTE — EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
- COMPATIBILITY — Works with all devices that have a USB-C port.
- INTEGRATED MICROPHONE — A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you’re on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you’re always heard loud and clear.
Choose PRISM Live Studio for effects and overlays
YouTube lists PRISM Live Studio for iOS and Android and describes it as suited to IRL and gaming, with overlays and effects including chroma key, decoration, and beauty effects. If a particular effect is essential, verify its availability in the current app on your phone before building a stream around it. YouTube’s encoder app list provides its description.
Consider Larix when protocol support matters
Larix Broadcaster is an encoder-oriented option. YouTube’s app list names SRT, RTMP, NDI, WebRTC, and Zixi among its supported protocols. Those options can matter in a more technical workflow, but are unnecessary for many creators who simply want to stream from a phone to YouTube.

Audio, framing, and content checks before going live
- Audio: YouTube notes that many streamers use an external microphone, webcam, and headphones in advanced setups. An external mic is optional; check that its connector, phone operating system, and chosen app are compatible, and confirm the app can select the external input.
- Stationary shots: A phone mount or tripod can help keep a fixed camera angle steady, but it is not a streaming requirement.
- Screen capture: If streaming gameplay or another phone app, check the captured screen and audio before the public broadcast. A private rehearsal can help when Practice Mode is available.
- Copyright: Use only music, video, game content, and other material you have permission to stream. YouTube’s guidance on avoiding live-stream restrictions explains that content and policy issues can lead to restrictions; a third-party encoder does not change those rules.
- Reused content and archives: A live broadcast can remain available as an archive. Review what the archive contains and its visibility after the stream, and make sure you have rights to the material included.
Or let it run in the cloud
For a different use case—keeping a YouTube channel live around the clock using uploaded videos—StreamNeo is a cloud service, not a mobile camera-streaming app. Upload a recording or make a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live; the cloud loops the videos, so your phone, computer, OBS, and home connection do not have to stay on. Each slot streams the uploaded video as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one flat price per slot; it also includes automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly billing is $9.99 per month. UPI is available in India, alongside cards. Start your free first day with StreamNeo.
