Best overall: the Glorious Model O 2 Wireless is the most balanced choice for Minecraft butterfly clicking when its current price and availability are reasonable. It combines a light, symmetrical shell with wireless convenience and software customization. A discounted wired Glorious Model O is the value pick, the Roccat Kone Pro suits right-handed ergonomic grips, and Bloody A60/A70-style mice are specialists for drag-click crossover rather than all-purpose gaming.
This guide treats “high CPS” cautiously. Butterfly-click results depend on technique, switch behavior, debounce, firmware, the game client and server filtering. A click-tester score is not a promise of useful or permitted in-game hits. “2025” is the search label; older recommendations may have different stock, support and prices by August 2026.
Quick recommendations
| Mouse | Best for | Why consider it | Main compromise |
|---|---|---|---|
| Glorious Model O 2 Wireless | Most Minecraft PvP players | Light symmetrical shape, wireless operation and software customization | Check the exact SKU’s debounce behavior, stock and warranty; not ideal for small hands |
| Glorious Model O (wired) | Value butterfly clicking | Simple wired setup, light ambidextrous shell and established community reputation | Older design, possible quality-control history and uncertain 2026 availability |
| Glorious Model O 2 PRO 4K/8K | Premium lightweight use | 59 g listed for the 4K/8K version, optical switches and high polling options | Its official debounce range is 4–16 ms, and high polling sharply reduces battery life |
| Roccat Kone Pro | Right-handed ergonomic grips | 62.2 g in RTINGS testing, broad body and support for several grips | Older, right-handed-only design with mixed community reports about click behavior |
| Bloody A60/A70-style | Drag-click crossover | Textured shells and click-focused construction can produce substantial friction | Weaker general-purpose sensor, build and ergonomics than mainstream esports mice |
| Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2 | Conventional competitive gaming | 60 g, HERO 2 sensor, up to 8 kHz polling, 95-hour battery and LIGHTFORCE hybrid switches | No evidence here of adjustable debounce or a deliberate double-click advantage |
The comparison combines manufacturer specifications, RTINGS’ controlled comparison and specialist coverage; it is not a hands-on ranking by VGSources. See Glorious’ current comparison page at gloriousgaming.com/pages/compare-glorious-mice.
What butterfly clicking actually requires
Click registration, not a magic CPS number
In ordinary butterfly clicking, two fingers alternate physical presses on one primary button. Some mice also allow a single actuation to produce duplicate events through switch bounce or a permissive debounce setting. That is different from a software macro or remapping, which can violate server rules.

Specialist lists commonly repeat “20+ CPS” or higher figures, but these are community experiences rather than standardized laboratory measurements. Testers may count duplicate or rejected events that a Minecraft server filters. Treat high numbers as possibilities, not guaranteed performance. See MouseTesting’s CPS guide and StreamGearGuide’s Minecraft mouse coverage.
Debounce control
Debounce is the period during which the mouse suppresses additional switch signals after a click. Lower values can make rapid or duplicate registration easier, but they can also cause accidental double clicks when selecting text, opening files or using menus. The setting may be stored in onboard memory, depend on software or differ by firmware.
Do not assume every Glorious mouse has the older Model O’s alleged 0 ms behavior. Glorious’ official PRO guide specifies a 4–16 ms range with 10 ms default for the PRO 4K/8K models, plus optical switches rated at 100 million clicks: official PRO guide.
Button geometry and surface
- Choose broad, clearly separated primary buttons so index and middle fingers do not collide.
- A matte surface generally offers more predictable finger placement than a glossy one.
- Look for minimal shell flex and consistent actuation across the front, center and rear of each button.
- Side stability matters: a mouse that moves while you alternate clicks will hurt aim even if a tester shows a high CPS.
Drag clicking is different. It relies heavily on friction and surface texture, whereas butterfly clicking depends more on button width, separation, actuation feel and controllable bounce. A drag specialist is not automatically the best butterfly mouse.

The original Model O is symmetrical and ambidextrous, but RTINGS found it unsuitable for smaller hands. Its tested wired weight was 66.9 g. The Roccat Kone Pro weighed 62.2 g in the same comparison and offers a wider, right-handed ergonomic shell. The specific Model O 2 PRO SKU matters: Glorious lists 57 g for one PRO comparison entry and 59 g for the 4K/8K version.

Use shape as a first filter. Symmetrical Model O designs suit users who want a centered grip; the Kone Pro suits right-handed players who prefer a palm-filling hump. Check dimensions and return terms before buying if your hands are small or you use a fingertip grip. RTINGS’ comparison is at rtings.com.
Product-by-product advice
Glorious Model O 2 Wireless — best overall
This is the strongest mainstream recommendation when available at a sensible price. Its symmetrical, lightweight design is easy to move during bridging and PvP, while wireless operation removes cable drag. It is a better balanced purchase than a mouse selected only for the highest advertised CPS.
Confirm the exact model’s debounce controls, shell finish and warranty before ordering. Small-hand users may find the body too large, and users who dislike shell cutouts should try a closed design instead. Current prices were not established here, so check the official comparison page immediately before purchase.

Glorious Model O wired — best value when discounted
The wired Model O remains credible for pure butterfly clicking: it is light, symmetrical and avoids battery management. RTINGS measured 66.9 g and found its shape, feet and sensor consistency strong against the Kone Pro. Its drawbacks are age, possible quality-control variation and uncertain stock by 2026. Buy new or refurbished only with a clear return policy; do not treat an old review’s price as current.
Glorious Model O 2 PRO 4K/8K — premium alternative
The 4K/8K version is listed at 59 g, uses optical switches rated for 100 million clicks, and supports up to 4 kHz wireless or 8 kHz wired polling. The official guide lists approximately 80 hours at 1,000 Hz and 35 hours at 4,000 Hz. High polling changes cursor-report frequency and system load, not the number of click events a switch creates.

- Adjustable True Color - With Redragon Pro driver, DIY endless style like dynamic streaming, breathing, waving. The game closely linked with various lighting modes makes your room full of competitive vibe.
Its 4–16 ms debounce range and premium price mean it is not automatically the best CPS mouse. Start at the default rather than paying extra solely for a polling-rate number.
Roccat Kone Pro — best ergonomic alternative
Choose this if a right-handed ergonomic shell is more comfortable than a symmetrical Model O. The official manual lists a 19K DPI Owl-Eye optical sensor and 400 IPS maximum speed; the RTINGS comparison found good general usability and a 62.2 g tested weight. It is an older product, right-handed only and not a universal high-CPS winner. Technical documentation is available at Turtle Beach’s Kone Pro PDF.

Textured shells can create the friction that drag clicking needs, making these models relevant if drag clicking is as important as butterfly clicking. Their sensor quality, construction and ergonomics are less compelling for a general esports library. MouseTesting’s specialist discussion is at mousetesting.com.
Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2 — best conventional gaming alternative
Logitech lists a 60 g weight, HERO 2 sensor, up to 8 kHz polling, 95 hours of constant-motion battery life and LIGHTFORCE hybrid switches rated for 70 million clicks. Those are excellent all-purpose specifications, but they do not establish an adjustable debounce or intentional double-click benefit. Choose it when sensor consistency, wireless reliability and battery life matter more than permissive click registration. See Logitech’s product page.
How to choose without chasing CPS
- Set the primary use. For Minecraft-focused butterfly clicking, start with the Model O 2 Wireless or a discounted wired Model O. For a wider game library, prioritize shape and sensor quality.
- Decide whether drag clicking matters. If yes, investigate a Bloody A60/A70 or a matte Glorious shell. If no, do not pay for extreme texture or unusually permissive settings.
- Pick your shape. Choose symmetrical for the Model O family or right-handed ergonomic for the Kone Pro.
- Choose wired or wireless. Wired avoids charging and can cost less; wireless is not inherently slower when the specific implementation is good.
- Account for ordinary use. If the mouse is also for work, do not leave the lowest debounce setting enabled unless accidental double clicks are acceptable.
- Check the server’s current rules. Ordinary two-finger clicking, natural switch bounce, debounce changes, macros and input remaps are distinct behaviors. Rules vary and can change.
Safe setup and testing
For Glorious PRO 4K/8K models, install Glorious CORE, connect directly to a motherboard USB port for high-polling use, and use Windows 11 if operating above 1 kHz. The guide recommends a 10 ms default and documents a factory reset by holding left click, right click and scroll click for five seconds.

- Mechanical primary buttons are tensioned with durable metal springs for reliable performance and feel, with crisp clicks and precise feedback
- Confirm the exact model, firmware and supported debounce range.
- Record the default profile before changing anything.
- Test single clicks in a browser, file manager and text editor.
- Test butterfly clicking in a local or permitted CPS tester.
- Verify that Minecraft registers useful clicks rather than merely displaying a high counter.
- Check aim control at your normal sensitivity and polling rate.
- Confirm the server’s current official policy before using intentional duplicate registration.
- Keep the receipt and use the return period if buttons, shell or wireless behavior are inconsistent.
Start around 6–10 ms on models that support it. Lower the setting only if legitimate clicks appear suppressed; raise it again when menus or desktop actions double-trigger. If problems persist, restore the default profile, update firmware and software, try another USB port, disable macros or remaps, factory-reset where supported, and return the mouse if the physical switches remain inconsistent.
Server rules and practical limits
No mouse is universally “tournament legal.” Server policies may treat ordinary butterfly clicking, switch bounce, debounce adjustment, macros and remapped inputs differently. Historical Hypixel forum discussions are user conversations from 2020–2023, inconsistent and not authoritative current policy: Hypixel discussion. Read the current rules for the server you play before enabling a setting intended to create duplicate events.
Also remember that a manufacturer’s click rating describes a durability target, not guaranteed high-CPS behavior. Optical switches can reduce conventional mechanical double-click failures, but that does not prove they generate more intentional duplicates.
Final buying advice
Buy the mouse whose shape you can control, whose click behavior you can configure safely and whose use is permitted on your server. For most Minecraft PvP players that means the Glorious Model O 2 Wireless; choose a wired Model O for value, the Kone Pro for a right-handed ergonomic grip, Bloody for drag-click experimentation, or the Superlight 2 when conventional competitive gaming is the priority. Do not let a click-tester headline outweigh comfort, return coverage and reliable in-game registration.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can any mouse butterfly click?
Most mice can register alternating physical presses, but button width, separation, surface, switch feel and debounce determine how comfortable and consistent the technique is.

Does lower debounce always produce more CPS?
No. It can permit faster or duplicate registration, but too little debounce causes accidental double clicks and may not translate into accepted server hits.
Is wireless worse for butterfly clicking?
Not inherently. A specific wireless mouse can perform well; battery life and polling settings are the practical trade-offs.
Are optical switches automatically better?
They may reduce some mechanical double-click failures, but they do not guarantee higher butterfly CPS or duplicate registration.
Will butterfly clicking get me banned?
There is no universal answer. Check the current rules of the server you use, especially for debounce changes, macros and remapped inputs.
