For a strong multiplayer production base, start with Solenne for Handiwork, Dandilord for Planting and general flexibility, Orserk for electricity, Jormuntide for watering, Silvance for Medicine Production, Celesdir Noct for Lumbering, and Knocklem for Mining or Transporting. Anubis and Knocklem are especially useful before endgame, while Ribbuny, Cinnamoth and Wumpo can raise the effective work level of other Pals. Palworld’s 1.0 balance changed work-suitability values, and several guide summaries disagree on the best Kindling, Mining and Cooling workers, so check the suitability panel on your own Pal before committing rare copies to breeding or Condensing.
The best base workers at a glance
The table below is a practical shortlist for a shared multiplayer base. “Best” means the highest reported suitability for that job, or the strongest combination of job level and flexibility where a specialist is not clearly established. The levels come from 2026 guide and patch-note summaries rather than a reached Pocketpair reference page; treat them as current targets to verify in-game.

| Job | Recommended Pal | Reported work suitability | Why it is useful | Important caveat |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Handiwork | Solenne | 8 base; reportedly reaches 10 after Condensing | Highest named Handiwork specialist | Reaching the reported maximum requires many duplicate copies |
| Planting | Dandilord | Planting level not stated in the summaries | Also covers Handiwork and Medicine Production | Lyleen is an alternative in some guides |
| Kindling | Renjishi, or Jormuntide Ignis/Blazamut Ryu | Renjishi 8; Jormuntide Ignis and Blazamut Ryu 4 | Renjishi is the highest reported furnace worker | Guide recommendations conflict |
| Watering | Jormuntide | Usually recommended; level not stated | Reliable dedicated watering choice | Shaolong is reported at level 8 and also has Gathering 5 |
| Mining | Knocklem, Aegidron, Digtoise or Astegon | Knocklem 7; exact values for others not stated | Choice depends on progression and whether you need Transporting | No single pick is agreed on across guides |
| Generating Electricity | Orserk | Level not stated | Most consistently named electricity specialist | Keep it on power duty if the base depends on continuous production |
| Cooling | Bastigor | Level not stated | Usual high-end recommendation | Frostallion is a single-suitability alternative at level 7 |
| Medicine Production | Silvance | 8 | Highest reported Medicine Production level | It is primarily a medicine specialist |
| Lumbering | Celesdir Noct | 8 | Dedicated high-level woodcutter | Verdash trades some peak level for Handiwork and Transporting |
| Transporting | Knocklem Ignis | Usually recommended | Moves items around a busy industrial base | Wumpo can add Transporting suitability to every base Pal through its passive |
| Gathering | Jetragon | Top reported Gatherer | Combines Gathering with a useful mount role | Its value depends on whether you need a combat or travel Pal at the same time |
How work suitability works in Palworld 1.0
Work suitability is a level-based rating attached to each Pal and each job icon. A higher level generally means a stronger worker for that task. The 1.0-era summaries describe a ten-level system and say that ranking a Pal raises one suitability, while maximum rank raises all of its suitabilities. Other summaries describe the earlier cap differently, saying it expanded from five to ten or that older Pals were limited to levels one through four. Because those accounts do not agree, use the in-game suitability display as the authority for the Pal in front of you.
Ranking and Condensing
Reported 1.0 patch coverage says a Pal now needs 48 duplicate copies to reach maximum rank, reduced from 116. That figure is a third-party summary and has not been confirmed here against an official Pocketpair note. It is still useful for planning: do not spend every duplicate immediately if you may need the same Pal for a second base, breeding project or combat party.

Ranking decisions matter more for a specialist than for a flexible worker. A max-ranked Solenne can turn a Handiwork station into the fastest part of a production line, but a lower-ranked Dandilord may produce more value across a developing base because it can plant, craft and make medicine. Compare the number of jobs a Pal can perform, not only its highest single icon.
Partner Skills can change the effective level
Some Partner Skills add work suitability to other Pals assigned to the same base. Ribbuny is reported to grant every Handiwork Pal an extra Handiwork level. Cinnamoth’s “Mysterious Scales” is reported to add one Farming suitability to other base Pals. Wumpo’s passive is reported to add one Transporting suitability to all base Pals. These bonuses do not make a weak generalist equal to a true specialist in every situation, but they can let a multiplayer team meet a production target with fewer dedicated slots.
Best Pals for each base job
Handiwork: Solenne
Solenne is the clearest specialist recommendation. Guide summaries give it base Handiwork level 8 and describe it as the only reported Pal capable of reaching level 10 through Pal Condenser progression. Use Solenne for crafting benches, assembly lines and other stations where work speed is more important than carrying or gathering.
In a shared base, assign one or more Solenne to a compact crafting room rather than scattering them among unrelated stations. Add Ribbuny when you have several Handiwork workers: its reported bonus raises the effective Handiwork level of the other Pals, so the support Pal can improve the whole room instead of taking over a single bench. Keep combat Pals out of this room unless their Handiwork level is genuinely competitive; a strong attack stat does not compensate for a low work suitability.
Planting: Dandilord, with Lyleen as an alternative
Dandilord is the most versatile named choice for farming infrastructure. It covers Planting, Handiwork and Medicine Production, with Handiwork and Medicine Production both reported at level 6. The summaries do not provide a Planting number, so inspect that icon before assigning it to a large farm. Its three compatible jobs are valuable in multiplayer because one Pal can move between crop production, crafting and medicine when a teammate changes the base’s priorities.
Lyleen appears as an alternative Planting choice in some guides. If your Lyleen has the higher Planting level shown in your own game, use it as the dedicated farm worker and reserve Dandilord for a mixed production base. Cinnamoth’s reported +1 Farming bonus can support a farm staffed by several otherwise modest growers.

Outbyte PC Repair FREEClear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Kindling: verify the furnace worker before investing
Kindling is one of the disputed categories. One set of summaries lists Jormuntide Ignis and Blazamut Ryu at level 4. Other coverage names Renjishi as the superior option with base Kindling level 8; the same Pal is also reported to have Handiwork 6, Gathering 5 and Transporting 5.
For a furnace-heavy base, check the Kindling icon on each candidate and assign the highest number you actually own. Renjishi is attractive when its reported level 8 is present because it can help with several emergency jobs, but a level-4 specialist may still be the practical choice if it is available earlier or if your server’s current balance differs. Do not breed or Condense solely from an online list when the lists disagree.
Watering: Jormuntide or Shaolong
Jormuntide is the usual watering recommendation for mills, crushers and other water-powered stations. Shaolong is reported as the level-8 option and also carries Gathering 5, making it a useful compromise if your base needs both crop processing and resource collection. A multiplayer group can keep Jormuntide permanently assigned to production while using Shaolong as a flexible worker during building or harvesting sessions.
Mining: choose by stage and logistics
Mining has no uncontested winner in the available 1.0 coverage. Knocklem is reported at Mining 7 and is frequently recommended as an all-round worker; it also has Transporting 7, which helps move ore away from nodes. Aegidron is described as a dedicated ore specialist. Digtoise is commonly suggested as a good early option, while Astegon is treated as a later progression choice. One guide summary instead names “Knocklem Ignis,” so verify the exact Pal variant and its suitability icons in your game.
For a multiplayer ore base, use a specialist when mining speed is the bottleneck and Knocklem when the same Pal can mine and move material. Separate mining from transport if dropped resources are piling up: a high Mining value does not guarantee that ore will reach storage quickly. Give miners a clear path to nodes and keep storage close enough that Transporting workers do not spend the entire shift walking.
Generating Electricity: Orserk
Orserk is described as the clear pick for power generation. Put it beside generators and electricity-dependent production rather than assigning it to a mixed task list. In a shared server, this prevents a teammate’s temporary crafting request from pulling the only power worker away from the generator while machines are running.
Cooling: Bastigor or Frostallion
Bastigor is the usual high-end Cooling recommendation. Frostallion is the principal alternative and is reported at Cooling level 7 with only one suitability, making it a focused specialist rather than a flexible base worker. Choose Frostallion when a refrigerator or cold-storage line must remain staffed continuously and its single-job profile is an advantage. Choose Bastigor when you want the commonly cited top option and have confirmed its Cooling value in your own Pal list.
Medicine Production: Silvance
Silvance is reported to have the highest base Medicine Production level, 8. Assign it to medicine stations in a dedicated medical room and keep ingredients nearby. Dandilord can cover Medicine Production at a reported level 6 when you need one Pal to switch between crops, crafting and medicine, but Silvance is the better choice for a steady healing-item queue.

Celesdir Noct is reported at Lumbering level 8 and is the straightforward wood-production specialist. Verdash is the flexible alternative, covering Lumbering, Handiwork and Transporting at high levels according to one guide summary. A new or frequently rebuilt multiplayer base benefits from Verdash because it can help with construction and hauling after the immediate wood shortage is solved; an established timber operation should favor the highest Lumbering icon you have.
Transporting: Knocklem Ignis, Wumpo and Knocklem
Knocklem Ignis is the usual dedicated Transporting recommendation, while Wumpo is the common alternative. Wumpo’s reported passive adds one Transporting suitability to every Pal at the base, so it can improve a whole logistics team even when it is not carrying a particular item itself. Knocklem is also reported at Transporting 7 and Mining 7, making it a strong choice for ore bases that need fewer separate workers.
Transporting problems are often layout problems. Put containers near production buildings, reserve unobstructed corridors and avoid assigning a worker to three distant zones. On a multiplayer base, designate one player to storage and conveyor layout; otherwise every builder may create a new path that sends carriers across the entire compound.
Gathering: Jetragon
Jetragon is described as a mount that is also the top Gatherer. It is most valuable when a player wants a travel Pal that can contribute to base resource collection between excursions. If the base needs uninterrupted gathering, assign a separate worker rather than repeatedly recalling Jetragon for exploration; the best theoretical Gathering level does not help while the Pal is in a player’s party.
Rank #3
Best early- and mid-progression workers
Before an endgame roster is available, Anubis and Knocklem are repeatedly cited as all-round picks. Anubis is reported at Handiwork 6 and Mining 6, so it can craft while also supporting an ore operation. Knocklem is reported at Mining 7 and Transporting 7, a particularly useful combination for a resource base. Dandilord is frequently named as an overall pick because Planting, Handiwork and Medicine Production let it fill whichever station is currently blocking the team.
Use these flexible Pals to stabilize the base, then replace them with specialists one job at a time. The best replacement order is usually the station that is constantly queued: Handiwork if crafting is backed up, Mining if ore is limiting every recipe, or Transporting if finished goods are sitting on the ground. Do not remove every generalist at once; a multiplayer base still needs workers for temporary construction, repairs and gathering.
How to staff a multiplayer base
Build around bottlenecks, not a fixed “best” roster
Count the stations your group actually runs. A base with one furnace, one crusher and several assembly lines needs a different roster from a mining outpost. Start with one dedicated worker for each always-on job, then add a second only when the station’s queue remains full. A Pal with three useful suitabilities can be worth more than a single-job specialist if your group changes activities frequently.
Separate permanent jobs from temporary jobs
Create a permanent production core for electricity, cooling, medicine and the main crafting stations. Keep a smaller flexible pool for planting, gathering, repairs and construction. When a teammate begins a large building project, move a generalist into Handiwork rather than removing the only Pal powering a generator or cooling storage.
Account for base raids
Base raids are wave-based, and enemy levels are reported to scale with the working Pals at the base. That makes an oversized roster a potential liability during a raid. Keep combat-focused Pals available for defense, and avoid putting a powerful fighter on production merely because it has an empty work icon. Handiwork-capable Pals are reported to repair structures without items; the Repair Kit was removed, so retaining at least one suitable repair worker can matter after an attack.
Coordinate assignments on a shared server
- Agree on one person responsible for the main production base’s permanent assignments.
- Use a sign, chest label or shared message to record which player is using each specialist for breeding or combat.
- Keep spare workers in a separate storage area so a teammate does not accidentally deploy a rare Pal.
- When moving a Pal between bases, check that its new base has the food, beds and pathing it needs; a high suitability level cannot overcome an inaccessible station.
- Review the roster after every balance update, because suitability values and recommended tiers can change.
A practical assignment procedure
- Open the Pal’s suitability panel. Confirm the exact job icons and levels for the individual Pal you own rather than relying on a tier list.
- Mark permanent stations. Identify generators, refrigerators, medicine benches and production lines that should never be left idle.
- Assign specialists first. Put Orserk on electricity, Solenne on Handiwork, Silvance on Medicine Production and your confirmed Kindling, Watering and Cooling specialists on their dedicated stations.
- Fill logistics next. Add Knocklem Ignis, Wumpo or another confirmed Transporting worker only after the production chain has workers at its source stations.
- Add flexible workers. Use Dandilord, Anubis, Knocklem or Verdash to cover secondary jobs and temporary construction.
- Test one complete cycle. Watch a resource travel from input to station to storage. If a Pal stops at a doorway, takes an unrelated job or leaves goods on the ground, change the layout or remove the competing suitability.
- Record the working roster. Multiplayer bases change often; a short shared list prevents someone from Condensing or relocating the Pal that keeps a critical line running.
What to do when two guides disagree
Conflicting recommendations are expected for Kindling, Mining and Cooling, and even the historical suitability cap is described differently across 1.0 summaries. Resolve the conflict in this order:
- Check the current in-game level. The icon on your Pal is more relevant than an older article’s number.
- Check the exact variant. Names such as Knocklem and “Knocklem Ignis” may refer to different entries or to inconsistent guide naming.
- Measure the role you need. A level-7 miner that also transports can outperform a higher pure miner if hauling is your bottleneck.
- Check progression cost. A theoretically superior endgame Pal is not useful if your group cannot obtain or breed it yet.
- Use a short trial. Run the same station for one production cycle with each candidate and observe idle time, pathing and queue completion.
The 1.0 release is repeatedly dated July 10, 2026, as update 1.100.427 in patch-note summaries. Because the official Pocketpair notes were not available for these specific claims, assume that a later balance update can change levels, passives or even the preferred Pal for a job.
Does multiplayer require different workers?
No multiplayer-specific worker tier list was established. The base jobs and suitability logic are the same, so the job recommendations above also apply to a solo base. Multiplayer changes the way you should organize them: several players create more simultaneous queues, shared storage fills faster, and a misplaced specialist affects everyone.
1.0 multiplayer summaries mention optional voice chat on dedicated servers, guild ranks with rank-gated guild buildings, Discord integration and safer server systems, but they do not identify special base-worker bonuses or different suitability values for multiplayer. Treat claims that a particular Pal is uniquely “for multiplayer” with caution unless the game itself shows a distinct mechanic.

Common problems and fixes
The worker keeps switching jobs
Multi-suitability Pals are convenient but may choose a different available station when its priority changes. Move unrelated workstations out of its path, reduce the number of open jobs, or replace the Pal with a specialist. Dandilord and Verdash are powerful precisely because they cover several roles, so reserve them for bases where that flexibility is intentional.
Production is fast but items never reach storage
Add or upgrade Transporting workers and shorten the distance between stations and containers. Wumpo’s reported global Transporting bonus can help, but it cannot repair blocked paths or an overloaded layout. For ore operations, Knocklem’s reported Mining 7 and Transporting 7 combination can reduce the handoff between mining and hauling.

A high-level worker appears idle
Check that the station accepts the Pal’s exact suitability, that the Pal can physically reach it, and that food or bed access is not causing a longer interruption. Reassign it manually after rebuilding a station, then watch one full cycle before changing the roster again.
Your base is vulnerable during raids
Keep a combat party outside the production roster, leave room for defensive movement and avoid filling every slot with workers whose levels raise raid scaling without improving the current bottleneck. After a wave, use Handiwork-capable Pals to repair structures without the removed Repair Kit.
Recommended multiplayer templates
Compact starter production base
- Anubis for Handiwork and Mining
- Dandilord for Planting, Handiwork and Medicine Production
- One confirmed Kindling Pal
- Jormuntide or Shaolong for Watering
- One Transporting worker
This setup favors flexibility and avoids committing scarce endgame copies before the group knows which stations it uses most.
Industrial crafting base
- Solenne for primary Handiwork
- Ribbuny to provide the reported Handiwork bonus
- Orserk for electricity
- Silvance for Medicine Production
- Dedicated Kindling, Watering, Cooling and Transporting workers
- Dandilord or Verdash for overflow jobs
Use this template when several players are crafting simultaneously and idle production time is more expensive than roster flexibility.
Mining and logistics outpost
- Knocklem for the reported Mining 7 and Transporting 7 combination
- Aegidron, Digtoise or Astegon according to your progression and confirmed in-game level
- Knocklem Ignis or Wumpo for additional Transporting
- Dandilord or Anubis for incidental Handiwork
- A dedicated food and storage layout close to the ore nodes
This arrangement minimizes the distance between extraction, hauling and storage. If mining remains slow after pathing is fixed, replace the flexible worker with the highest Mining specialist you can actually maintain.
Final checklist before you Condense a worker
- Verify every suitability level in the current game build.
- Confirm that the Pal’s job matches the station you intend to run permanently.
- Decide whether a flexible Pal would help your group more than a specialist.
- Reserve enough duplicates for another base, breeding project or combat party.
- Check whether Ribbuny, Cinnamoth or Wumpo can supply the missing +1 work level more cheaply than replacing the entire roster.
- Run a complete production cycle and inspect pathing before spending rare copies.
The safest multiplayer approach is to build around verified in-game suitability, then use the named picks as starting points: Solenne for Handiwork, Dandilord for flexible farming and production, Orserk for power, Jormuntide for watering, Silvance for medicine, Celesdir Noct for lumber and Knocklem-family workers for mining and hauling. Where the 1.0 summaries disagree, your own suitability panel and a short base trial should decide.
