For most Australian groups, start by comparing managed Sydney servers from PXA Gaming, Radiant Play, Play Your Way and Connect Hosting. They handle installation, control panels, restarts and backups that are easy to get wrong on a self-managed machine. Choose a technically capable VPS such as OVHcloud when the lower monthly price matters more than convenience. If your group includes Xbox or PS5 players, confirm community-server support before paying: Pocketpair’s official guide says those platforms require a community-server deployment, not merely a standard dedicated server.
Best Australian Palworld hosts at a glance
The right host depends on three decisions: where your players are located, how much administration you want to do, and which platforms they use. Sydney is the location most often advertised for Australian Palworld hosting. A Sydney node generally gives the shortest route for players in New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and Queensland, while Western Australian players should check their own latency rather than assuming every Sydney service will feel identical.

First check: dedicated server or community server?
What a dedicated server does
Pocketpair’s official Palworld Server Guide (version 0.6.8) describes a dedicated server as a way to host the world without running that world from a player’s game client. Players connect using the server’s IP address and port. That arrangement lets the world remain online when the usual host logs off and avoids making one player’s computer responsible for hosting and playing at the same time.

Why Xbox and PS5 change the purchase decision
The same official guide states that Xbox and PS5 players need a community-server deployment. A normal dedicated-server product may therefore be unsuitable for a mixed-platform group even when it has enough RAM and a Sydney IP address. Before ordering, ask the provider specifically whether its Palworld service can be deployed as a community server for your exact combination of Steam, Xbox, Windows Store and PS5 accounts.
- Steam-only groups can compare ordinary dedicated-server plans, subject to the provider’s supported game version.
- A group containing Xbox or PS5 players should make community-server support a buying requirement, not an optional extra.
- Ask whether the community-server mode is included in the advertised plan, requires a separate setup, or changes how players connect.
Official installation options
Pocketpair’s deployment documentation covers Windows and Linux installation through SteamCMD and identifies the Palworld dedicated-server application as app ID 2394010. The deployment page carrying that app ID is version 0.5.0 documentation, while the current server guide is version 0.6.8; providers may package updates differently. A managed host should tell you which game build it runs and how it handles updates before you migrate an existing world.
How much RAM does an Australian Palworld server need?
Published Australian plans span roughly 4 GB for very small groups to 16–24 GB for larger worlds. Slot counts are not a universal measure of resource use: two servers with the same player limit can allocate different amounts of memory, storage or CPU time. Treat the figures below as a way to compare the plans that are actually advertised, then leave headroom for your world, update cycle and any supported mods.
| Published option | Advertised capacity | How to interpret it |
|---|---|---|
| 4 GB | Smallest tier shown in the Australian market snapshot | Consider only for a very small group after confirming the host’s Palworld requirements and upgrade path |
| 8 GB | Common entry point; Connect lists an 8 GB tier, while PXA, Radiant and Play Your Way list small-player plans | Typical starting point to compare for a small private group, subject to the provider’s own limits |
| 16 GB | Available from Connect and Delta Networks; also aligns with mid-range slot tiers at several managed hosts | Useful comparison point for a larger or more active world |
| 24 GB | Connect’s largest listed RAM tier and OVHcloud’s largest listed VPS tier | For groups that need substantial memory and can justify the higher monthly cost |
PXA publishes 8-, 16- and 32-player tiers. Radiant publishes 8-, 16- and 24-player tiers. Play Your Way publishes 4-, 8- and 16-player tiers. Connect lists 8, 16 and 24 GB RAM plans with all 32 player slots included, so its slot policy is not directly comparable with a host that sells fixed player tiers.
When comparing plans, ask four resource questions rather than looking only at the advertised slot count:

Latency from Australian locations
Distance and routing affect how quickly actions reach the server. Connect Hosting publishes example round-trip figures from its Sydney node of about 15 ms to Sydney, 26 ms to Melbourne, 32 ms to Adelaide and 64 ms to Perth. Those are the provider’s examples, not independent measurements or guarantees; your internet provider, time of day and route can produce different results.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
| Player location | Connect’s published Sydney example | What to do with the figure |
|---|---|---|
| Sydney | About 15 ms | Use as a provider-stated local reference, not a promise for every connection |
| Melbourne | About 26 ms | Compare with a live test from your own internet connection |
| Adelaide | About 32 ms | Check evening latency, when household congestion can be highest |
| Perth | About 64 ms | Ask whether a nearer region exists if Western Australia is your main player base |
Before committing to a long billing period, request a test IP or temporary instance if the provider offers one. Test while several players are online and record latency, packet loss and whether rubber-banding appears during combat. A low headline ping does not compensate for an overloaded CPU, insufficient memory or frequent restarts.
Provider-by-provider guide
PXA Gaming: a managed Sydney option up to 32 players
PXA Gaming advertises dedicated Sydney hardware with 64 GB of ECC memory in the host machine, dual NVMe storage, network-edge DDoS protection, native Linux, daily automatic restarts and capacity up to 32 players. Its published tiers are A$16.99 per month for 8 players, A$24.99 for 16 and A$34.99 for 32.
This is the clearest fit when your group expects to grow beyond a small private world and wants a managed service rather than a bare VPS. The host-machine specification does not mean every customer receives 64 GB exclusively, so ask how much RAM is allocated to the individual plan. Confirm the backup schedule separately; the advertised feature list specifies daily restarts but does not establish a backup frequency.
Radiant Play: strongest published backup schedule
Radiant Play advertises Sydney hosting with automatic setup, hourly backups, daily restarts, DDoS protection and a control panel. Its plans are listed at $20 per month for 8 players, $28 for 16 and $35 for 24, with a three-day money-back guarantee shown on the plan page.

Hourly backups are valuable for a world that changes every evening because they reduce the amount of progress lost after corruption or an accidental configuration change. Ask how many restore points are retained and whether restoring a backup can be done from the panel without opening a support ticket.
Play Your Way: settings and mod-oriented controls
Play Your Way lists Sydney hardware, DDoS protection, a world-settings editor, a backup slot, extra mod or plugin ports and a nightly restart. The regular prices shown are $20 per month for Pal Sphere (up to four players), $35 for Pal Camp (up to eight) and $45 for Pal Paradise (up to 16). The page also displays introductory first-month discounts, so verify the recurring price after the promotion ends.
The world-settings editor can be useful if you want to change gameplay parameters without manually editing configuration files. Extra mod or plugin ports do not by themselves prove that every mod is supported; confirm the supported game version, installation method and rollback process before modifying a valuable world.
Connect Hosting: RAM-based plans with 32 slots included
Connect Hosting advertises a Sydney node, 8/16/24 GB dedicated-RAM tiers, backups and all 32 player slots included. Prices are listed in US dollars from US$12.99 to US$31.99 per month, with approximate Australian-dollar conversions. Because the billing currency is not Australian dollars, the amount charged can vary with exchange rates, taxes and the payment provider.
This structure suits a group that wants to choose memory first and keep the maximum slot count available. Compare the actual CPU allocation, backup retention and upgrade policy with slot-based plans: “32 slots included” does not tell you how many players the selected RAM tier can comfortably support in your particular world.

OVHcloud: the low-cost, self-managed baseline
OVHcloud lists Australian VPS tiers from A$6.29 ex GST per month for 2 vCores and 4 GB of RAM to A$32.81 ex GST per month for 8 vCores and 24 GB of RAM. The VPS uses NVMe storage and includes a daily backup of the previous 24 hours.
The lower price reflects administration you must perform yourself. You are responsible for choosing Windows or Linux, installing SteamCMD and the Palworld server, opening the required network port, applying updates, configuring scheduled restarts, monitoring memory and restoring backups. A VPS is attractive when you already administer Linux or Windows servers; it is a poor bargain if several hours of troubleshooting costs more than a managed plan.
Delta Networks: higher-priced Australian performance tiers
Delta Networks lists Australian plans from A$33.98 per month for 8 GB of RAM to A$61.65 for 16 GB. The billing page shows enterprise NVMe and Ryzen 9950X specifications. These plans are worth comparing when storage and high-end CPU specifications matter, but the published information does not establish a Palworld-specific player limit or backup schedule. Ask for those details before treating the plans as equivalent to a managed slot package.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Managed hosting versus a VPS
Choose managed hosting when
- You want to start playing without installing SteamCMD or configuring a firewall.
- Your group needs a web control panel, one-click settings or restore tools.
- You value automatic restarts, provider-managed updates and a support contact.
- The server owner is not available to troubleshoot crashes or networking problems.
Choose a VPS when
- You can administer Windows or Linux and diagnose CPU, RAM, storage and port issues.
- You need full control over server files, scripts and update timing.
- You are comfortable setting up your own monitoring, scheduled restarts and backup tests.
- The lower advertised VPS price outweighs the time spent maintaining it.
Do not compare only the monthly totals. A managed plan may include DDoS protection, backups and panel controls that would require separate configuration on a VPS. Conversely, a VPS gives you more flexibility but transfers every operational task to you.
Best Value
- CPU: AMD Ryzen7 5700X (up to 4.6GHz) 8-Core 16-Thread to easily handle multi-line tasks
- Main board: MSI B550M-A PRO motherboard provides reliable performance and stability
- GPU: Geforce RTX 5060 8GB GDDR7 Graphics Cards (Brand may vary) Support DLSS 4 multi frame generation, ray tracing, and Reflex 2 delay optimization

Setup checklist for a new Australian server
- Confirm platform compatibility. List every player’s platform. If anyone uses Xbox or PS5, obtain written confirmation that the plan supports the required community-server deployment.
- Select the region. Start with Sydney for the broadest Australian coverage, then ask for a test endpoint or measure latency from your players’ actual connections.
- Pick capacity. Compare the provider’s RAM, CPU allocation and player limit together. Do not assume a 32-slot label means a 24 GB world will perform identically to another provider’s 32-slot label.
- Set the recovery policy. Confirm backup frequency, retention, restore steps and whether backups are stored separately from the game files. Radiant advertises hourly backups; Play Your Way advertises a backup slot; OVHcloud advertises a daily backup of the previous 24 hours.
- Choose administration level. For managed plans, verify the control panel, settings editor, restart schedule and update process. For a VPS, allocate time to install SteamCMD and the Palworld server on Windows or Linux using app ID
2394010. - Secure the account. Use a unique password, restrict panel access to trusted administrators and avoid giving the server account to every player.
- Test before inviting everyone. Join from each platform, check the displayed server version, test saving and rejoining, and observe latency with several players online.
- Document the connection details. Keep the IP address, port, panel URL and recovery contact in a private group message rather than posting administrative credentials publicly.
Common problems and how to resolve them
Xbox or PS5 players cannot find the server
The most likely issue is deployment mode, not RAM. Recheck whether the host supports a community server for the affected platform. Ask support to confirm the exact join method and whether the server must be recreated in community mode.
The Tool Desk
Outbyte PC Repair FREEClear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Players connect but experience rubber-banding
Record latency and packet loss from affected players, then compare results by city. A Sydney example of 15 ms does not guarantee the same route from Perth or from a different internet provider. Ask the host to check CPU contention, memory pressure and network errors at the time of the incident.
The world rolls back after a crash
Check the actual backup schedule and retention rather than assuming that “backup” means hourly snapshots. Restore a copy to a test instance if the panel permits it, and identify which save point predates the problem. A restart schedule is not a backup policy: PXA advertises daily auto-restarts, while Radiant advertises hourly backups and daily restarts.
A promotion makes the first invoice look cheaper
Compare the introductory amount with the recurring price shown at renewal. Play Your Way displays first-month discounts, while Connect quotes US dollars with approximate Australian conversions. Check tax, currency conversion and renewal timing before selecting an annual term.
The VPS installation is not reachable
Verify that the server process is running, the chosen port is open in the operating-system firewall and the VPS network rules, and the client is using the same IP address and port. Confirm that the installed build matches the players’ game version. If you do not routinely manage these checks, a managed Sydney plan may be the faster solution.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesDecision guide
- Small Steam group, minimal administration: compare the 4–8-player managed tiers from Play Your Way, PXA Gaming or Radiant Play.
- Eight to 16 players who want frequent recovery points: Radiant Play’s advertised hourly backups deserve priority in the comparison.
- Growing group up to 32 players: compare PXA Gaming’s 32-player tier with Connect Hosting’s RAM-based plans, checking the actual resource allocation for the world you run.
- Mixed Steam, Xbox or PS5 group: make community-server confirmation the first filter; do not buy on price or ping alone.
- Experienced administrator seeking the lowest listed entry price: evaluate the A$6.29 ex GST OVHcloud VPS against the time and security work required to operate it.
- Performance-focused buyer comparing Australian hardware: include Delta Networks’ 8 GB and 16 GB plans, but request player limits and backup details because those are not established by the listed specifications.
Bottom line
Managed Sydney hosting is the sensible starting point for most Australian Palworld groups because it bundles the operational work that keeps a persistent world usable. PXA Gaming is the clearest published option for a managed 32-player tier; Radiant Play stands out for its advertised hourly backups; Play Your Way offers the most explicit settings and mod-oriented controls; Connect Hosting is the unusual slot-inclusive, RAM-based alternative. OVHcloud is the price leader only if you are willing to install, secure, update and troubleshoot the server yourself. Above all, confirm community-server support when Xbox or PS5 players are involved, because that requirement can determine whether the service works at all.
