Colors for Tomorrow is the leading Light Cone recommendation when you have it. Choose a Healing Bonus or DEF% body according to whether you want to emphasize healing or DEF scaling. Treat published DEF and SPD targets as tuning suggestions, not universal requirements: guides disagree on how far Pearl needs to be pushed.
Recommended Pearl build at a glance
| Slot | Recommendation | Why it fits |
|---|---|---|
| Relic set | Dreamlit Actor | The most consistent first choice across the reviewed build guides. |
| Planar ornament | Sprightly Vonwacq or Broken Keel | Choose Vonwacq for Pearl’s energy and action-timing setup; consider Broken Keel for Effect RES and team CRIT DMG when its condition and your team’s needs make that useful. |
| Body | Healing Bonus or DEF% | Healing Bonus emphasizes healing; DEF% supports Pearl’s DEF scaling. |
| Feet | SPD | Supports acting sooner and fitting Pearl into the team’s turn cycle. |
| Sphere | DEF% | Supports her DEF-oriented scaling. |
| Rope | Energy Regeneration Rate | Helps with her Ultimate’s high energy requirement. |
| Substats | DEF% and SPD first; Effect RES next | Balances her scaling, turn timing, and resistance needs. |
Which relics and planar ornaments should Pearl use?
Dreamlit Actor is the safest relic-set starting point
HSR Build, Beebom, and StarPatch all name Dreamlit Actor as a leading relic choice for Pearl. The agreement makes it the clearest default among the reviewed guides. Their recommendations do not establish a controlled, playtested ranking for every team or relic combination, so treat the set as the best-supported starting point rather than a guaranteed universal winner. HSR Build, Beebom, and StarPatch list it in their Pearl builds.
Use alternative relic sets for team needs
Messenger Traversing Hackerspace is an option when team SPD is the priority. Diviner of Distant Reach is another alternative listed by guides, particularly if another character is not already using it. These are situational alternatives, not stronger defaults established across the sources.
Choose planar ornaments by what your team lacks
Sprightly Vonwacq is recommended by HSR Build and StarGuide for its energy and action-timing utility. Beebom instead puts Broken Keel first, valuing its Effect RES condition and the team CRIT DMG benefit. The choice therefore depends on whether you want to support Pearl’s own energy/turn setup or can make effective use of Broken Keel’s team buff. Do not treat either ornament as universally best.

Which main stats and substats are best?
Body: Healing Bonus or DEF%
Pick Healing Bonus when you want to emphasize Pearl’s healing, or DEF% when you prefer to invest in the stat central to her scaling. The reviewed guides differ on which body stat they use as the default, so this is a genuine build choice rather than a settled consensus.
Feet, sphere, and rope
- Feet: SPD.
- Sphere: DEF%.
- Rope: Energy Regeneration Rate. HSR Build lists Pearl’s Ultimate cost as 180 energy, giving the rope recommendation practical context. HSR Build
Substats: prioritize DEF% and SPD
Look first for DEF% and SPD, then consider Effect RES. This keeps the build centered on Pearl’s DEF-based utility and acting reliably rather than trying to turn her into a conventional damage carry. The guides describe her as an Ice Elation sustain whose contribution to Elation support increases in teams with Elation allies.
What DEF and SPD targets should you aim for?
Build guides publish noticeably different targets. They are publisher recommendations, not one agreed benchmark or independently verified test results.
| Guide | DEF recommendation | SPD recommendation | Qualification |
|---|---|---|---|
| StarPatch (2026) | 2,400 DEF | 160+ SPD | Links 2,400 DEF to Panoptic Vision and 160+ SPD to a short Ultimate cycle. |
| StarGuide (accessed 2026) | 2,400+ DEF | 120+ or 173.4 SPD | Also lists 30% or 50% Effect RES targets. |
| Beebom (2026) | 4,000–5,000 DEF | 160+ SPD, ideally 180 | A more aggressive DEF and SPD recommendation than the other cited targets. |
A practical progression is to establish 2,400 DEF first, then tune SPD and energy regeneration for your team and the content you play. The higher figures are goals for further optimization, not mandatory entry requirements. StarGuide’s additional Effect RES targets likewise should be read as that guide’s tuning advice, not a universal threshold. StarGuide

Which Light Cones work best on Pearl?
Colors for Tomorrow: the featured signature choice
Colors for Tomorrow is the leading recommendation in the reviewed guides. Icy Veins lists a 48% DEF increase at S1 and describes team healing and an enemy damage-taken effect after Pearl uses an Elation Skill. StarPatch also identifies it as her signature Light Cone and highlights its DEF, healing, and vulnerability utility. These are kit effects and guide descriptions, not a claim that it has won a controlled damage comparison. HSR Build explicitly says its ranking is arithmetic based on kit data rather than Pearl playtesting. Icy Veins, StarPatch, and HSR Build
Alternatives if you do not have the signature
Recommendations vary by guide, and ownership matters. Named alternatives include Until the Flowers Bloom Again and Mushy Shroomy’s Adventures. Beebom also lists Elation Brimming With Blessings, while HSR Build names A Little Getaway and Dazzled by a Flowery World. Check the effect and availability of the Light Cones you own rather than assuming these alternatives form a universal ranking; the reviewed sources do not provide a single playtested ordering across all options. Beebom and HSR Build
How to adapt the build to your team
- You need more healing: Use a Healing Bonus body; Colors for Tomorrow is attractive for its described team-healing utility if available.
- You want to emphasize DEF scaling: Choose a DEF% body and prioritize DEF% substats.
- Pearl needs to fit turns or energy demands: Keep SPD feet and an Energy Regeneration Rate rope; consider Sprightly Vonwacq for its energy/action-timing focus.
- Your team benefits from more SPD: Consider Messenger Traversing Hackerspace as a team-oriented relic alternative.
- Your team can use CRIT DMG and Pearl meets the condition: Broken Keel is an alternative to Vonwacq, not a mandatory upgrade.
- You play with Elation allies: Pearl’s Elation support is more relevant in that team context, so build her to sustain and support the team rather than chase personal damage as the main goal.
How current are these recommendations?
The cited build pages were accessed on October 4, 2026, and include guides updated around Version 4.6. Relic, Light Cone, and character recommendations can change with patches and player testing. No official HoYoverse Pearl build guide was established among these sources; consult current in-game descriptions and updated guides if a later patch changes Pearl’s kit or the available equipment.
