The strongest names shared by two November 2025 tier lists are Cedric Freud, Nikas Himmelstein, Raika Shinohara, Harper Evans, and Alix La Fontaine. Treat them as a useful shortlist—not a definitive October 2026 ranking: LEVEL5 later confirmed balance adjustments, and the cited lists predate those changes. Choose by position, mode, progression stage, and team synergy.
Which players ranked highest in the available tier lists?
Operation Sports’ November 18, 2025 list and Power Up Gaming’s November 12, 2025 list are editorial snapshots from the game’s launch period. Both place five players in their top tiers. Their ranks are judgments by those publications, not results from a shared scoring system or official LEVEL5 rankings.
| Player | What the November 2025 lists say | Practical fit |
|---|---|---|
| Cedric Freud | S-tier at Operation Sports; SSS at Power Up Gaming | Operation Sports identifies him as an elite midfielder. |
| Nikas Himmelstein | S-tier at Operation Sports; SSS at Power Up Gaming | Operation Sports identifies him as a power forward. |
| Raika Shinohara | S-tier at Operation Sports; SSS at Power Up Gaming | Operation Sports describes her as a speed striker. |
| Harper Evans | S-tier at Operation Sports; SSS at Power Up Gaming | Operation Sports describes her as a technical forward. |
| Alix La Fontaine | S-tier at Operation Sports; SSS at Power Up Gaming | Operation Sports identifies him as a top-tier goalkeeper. |
Operation Sports says its list considered character difficulty, Hero-rank relevance, and comparisons with players at the same rank. Its author also cautions that a tier list is not a fixed way to play. Power Up Gaming’s separate list does not establish a directly comparable measurement, so the S and SSS labels should be read within each publication’s own framework. (Operation Sports; Power Up Gaming)
Other notable picks from the lists
Jazmine Carmine
Power Up Gaming places Jazmine in its SSS tier and describes her as a top female midfielder, noting synergy with Raika Shinohara. That makes her a candidate to consider when building around Raika; the claim is that publication’s assessment, not an official rating.

Destin Billows
Power Up Gaming places Destin in SSS and describes him as a tactician and scout. Separately, LEVEL5 identifies Destin Billows as the protagonist of Story Mode. The official story role does not by itself establish competitive strength. (Power Up Gaming; LEVEL5)
Why these rankings may not reflect the live meta
The tier lists were published in November 2025. In a June 11, 2026 announcement, LEVEL5 confirmed balance adjustments involving Build Ranks, Passive Skills, Breaches/Saves, and Keyman Lockdown. The publisher’s official site also displayed platform update notices dated July 28, 2026. Those later changes mean the older lists cannot establish which players are strongest in the October 2026 competitive environment; no definitive post-update ranking is established by these sources. How to choose players for your team
Start with the position you need
Use the shared top-tier names as role-based starting points: Cedric for midfield, Nikas or Harper for forward play, Raika as a speed striker, and Alix in goal, according to Operation Sports’ descriptions. These labels help organize a shortlist; they do not prove that a player is the best option for every lineup or progression stage.
Match the pick to your mode and progression
LEVEL5 describes Victory Road as a Character Collection and Football Simulation RPG. Story Mode follows Destin Billows; Chronicle Mode revisits the series’ history; Competition Mode lets players train characters and compete against bots or online opponents. A character’s usefulness can depend on which mode you play and the rank or stage at which you are building a squad. Operation Sports specifically says its rankings consider Hero-rank relevance, but neither list supplies a quantified value for every mode or rank. (LEVEL5; Operation Sports)

Check synergy with the rest of the lineup
LEVEL5’s June 2026 announcement says seasonal players became available and added Synergies that buff specific combinations of related characters. That makes compatibility a real team-building factor alongside individual tier placement. If a candidate contributes to a useful combination—such as the Raika pairing described by Power Up Gaming—consider that alongside position and your chosen mode. (LEVEL5, June 11, 2026 update announcement; Power Up Gaming)
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What Chronicle Mode’s large roster means for scouting
LEVEL5 says Chronicle Mode allows players to scout over 5,400 characters from past and present titles. That is the size of the scouting pool described in the publisher’s June 11, 2026 announcement—not a performance statistic or a promise that every character is equally suited to your team. With that breadth, use tier lists to identify candidates, then weigh role, progression, and synergy in your own lineup. (LEVEL5, June 11, 2026 announcement)
