Playground Games has announced a PS5 release for Forza Horizon 6. The Standard and Deluxe Editions are scheduled for January 26, 2027. Premium Edition early access is scheduled to begin on January 21, 2027. Those dates describe the game release schedule; they do not confirm support for any racing wheel.

The PS5 version is being developed by Panic Button in close collaboration with Playground Games and Turn 10 Studios. Playground Games also says PS5 players will have cross-platform play and cross-save with the Xbox and Steam versions. Those features can help you move progress between platforms, but they provide no information about PlayStation wheel drivers, force-feedback integration, or supported wheel models.

A wheel can be electrically and mechanically compatible with a PS5 while a particular game ignores it. Console compatibility identifies the platform variant and connection the manufacturer supports. Game compatibility depends on whether the game recognizes that wheel’s inputs and, separately, whether it implements the wheel’s force-feedback features.

PlayStation Direct’s listing for the Logitech G923 includes the essential qualification: the system requires games that support Logitech force-feedback racing wheels, and TRUEFORCE and other advanced features require game integration. In practical terms, the PS5 logo on the product page is not proof that Forza Horizon 6 will expose steering, pedals, vibration, or force feedback for that model.
Logitech’s compatibility material names Forza Horizon 5. The content reviewed for this article does not list Forza Horizon 6. That establishes recognition of the earlier game in Logitech’s materials, not support for the upcoming PS5 release. The official Forza PS5 announcement and the PlayStation Store listing reviewed here likewise do not publish a wheel-compatibility list.

Logitech offers separate platform variants of the G923. The PlayStation version is the one relevant to a PS5 setup. Those are manufacturer specifications and descriptions, not independent test measurements of how the wheel behaves in Forza Horizon 6.

The G923 makes sense before launch only for a buyer who also wants a PS5 wheel for other supported games, or who is comfortable waiting for a game-support announcement after purchasing. Wait if FH6 is the only reason you are buying
If Forza Horizon 6 is the sole purpose of the purchase, waiting for an official supported-wheel list is the lower-risk decision. The unresolved question is not whether the G923 can be sold for PS5; it is whether the PS5 game build will accept its steering and pedal inputs and expose force feedback.
Do not use the Xbox or PC version as proof
Forza Horizon 6 is planned for multiple platforms, and the PlayStation version is being developed with external support from Panic Button. Compatibility information for a wheel on Xbox or Steam would not, by itself, prove that the PS5 build supports the same device. Look for a statement that names PS5 and the exact wheel family, or for PS5-specific launch documentation.

- Confirm the platform variant. For the G923, verify that the listing says PlayStation/PS5. A model intended for another console family is not interchangeable merely because the wheel looks identical.
- Check both input and effects. A support statement should be read for two separate promises: steering/pedal recognition and force-feedback or TRUEFORCE integration.
- Check the game edition and date. Premium early access begins January 21, 2027; Standard and Deluxe launch January 26. A feature available in an early-access build can still change before the general release, so read the current notes for the build you will play.
- Keep purchase documentation. Until official support is clear, retain the receipt and understand the retailer’s return period. This is a practical safeguard against buying hardware for a feature the game does not expose.

The PlayStation Store describes more than 550 real-world cars and steering animations with up to 540 degrees of wheel rotation. Those figures describe the game’s vehicle content and steering presentation. They do not identify a compatible wheel, promise a particular physical rotation range for a peripheral, or confirm that the G923’s force-feedback system will be used.

Assuming Forza Horizon 5 support carries forward
Logitech’s compatibility list includes Forza Horizon 5. That is useful evidence that the wheel has been integrated with an earlier Forza title, but it is not a forward-compatibility guarantee for a new PS5 release.

Expecting TRUEFORCE automatically
TRUEFORCE is an advanced feature of the G923 hardware. PlayStation Direct states that advanced features require game integration. If FH6 lists only basic wheel input, the wheel may not deliver the effects described for fully integrated games.
Using a similarly named platform variant
Logitech lists separate platform versions. Confirm the PlayStation model before opening the package; do not infer compatibility from the product name alone.
Judging a wheel from the car count
