1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFor a simple, single-source YouTube stream that needs desktop software such as OBS, shortlist an Intel N100 mini PC—but treat it as a candidate, not a proven 24/7 appliance. The workload matters more than the processor label: looping a prepared video, capturing a camera or console, and compositing an OBS scene place different demands on the system. No specific N100 model has been established here as reliable through multi-day streaming.
Choose the machine for the stream you plan to run
A prerecorded video played as a simple source is a different workload from a camera feed that must be captured and encoded, or an OBS production with multiple sources, overlays, and transitions. Decide which one you need before comparing computers.
- Prepared video, one source: An Intel N100 mini PC is a plausible shortlist option if you need a conventional desktop environment and software such as OBS.
- Camera or console capture: Check the required inputs and capture-card compatibility. A USB capture card is relevant only if your source must enter the PC over HDMI.
- Several sources or complex scenes: Define the number of cameras, overlays, output resolution, and frame rate first. A higher-headroom x86 mini PC may be worth investigating, but a processor specification alone does not prove sustained encoding performance.
An India-focused guide identifies N100 mini PCs as a category to consider and mentions Quick Sync as a reason to investigate hardware encoding. It does not validate a particular system’s sustained OBS performance. Orange Pi and NVIDIA Jetson boards also appear in broad alternative roundups, but the available evidence does not establish either as a simpler or more reliable YouTube/OBS choice for this job. What YouTube requires from the stream
YouTube supports RTMP/RTMPS ingestion and lists H.264, H.265 (HEVC), and AV1 video, with up to 60 fps. Its encoder guidance calls for constant bitrate (CBR) and a two-second keyframe interval; the interval should not exceed four seconds. Select the bitrate for the exact codec, resolution, and frame rate rather than applying one figure to every stream. YouTube live encoder settings, bitrates, and resolutions

- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
For H.264 at 1080p30, YouTube recommends 14 Mbps and publishes 5 Mbps as the minimum. Those numbers apply to that specific format, not to other resolutions, frame rates, or codecs. YouTube recommends testing before the broadcast and checking stream health while live. YouTube live encoder settings, bitrates, and resolutions
How to shortlist a mini PC in India
There is not enough model-specific evidence for a fair ranking of exact computers or a claim that one N100 box will run continuously without trouble. Compare the exact unit and its complete setup against these checks before buying:

- What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (5-in-1, 4K HDMI), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.
- Encoding compatibility: Confirm the hardware encoder is supported by the operating system and OBS version you intend to use, and test the selected codec and output settings.
- Sustained cooling: Check the system’s cooling design and look for evidence relevant to prolonged load. A CPU name or advertised specification is not a multi-day streaming test.
- Power use: Compare measured wall power at idle and while streaming if available. Processor TDP is not the same as whole-system consumption.
- Network: Prefer wired Ethernet where practical, and test any backup connection. YouTube recommends leaving about 20% upload-bandwidth headroom and warns that a connectivity disruption can break a stream. YouTube streaming tips
- Power continuity: A UPS can keep the PC and router powered through a short outage. Size it for the total connected load and the runtime you need; no particular UPS model is established here as suitable.
- Recovery: Find out how the PC and streaming software behave after a power cut, reboot, or lost connection. Test restart and reconnection behavior yourself rather than assuming automatic recovery.
- Ownership costs: Check the landed price, warranty, and service options for your location in India. Local availability and current model prices are not established here.
Configure and test before leaving it unattended
- Install the intended operating system and OBS version. Confirm that the system recognizes its hardware encoder and any capture device you need.
- Set the output to match your workload. Choose resolution, frame rate, codec, CBR, and bitrate using YouTube’s guidance for that exact format. For H.264 1080p30, the recommendation is 14 Mbps; do not reuse it for another format without checking the applicable guidance. YouTube encoder settings
- Set the keyframe interval to two seconds. Keep it within YouTube’s stated maximum of four seconds. YouTube encoder settings
- Enter the YouTube stream key in the encoder. Keep the key private; anyone with access to it may be able to broadcast to your channel. Confirm the selected YouTube ingest destination and stream setup before starting.
- Run a test stream. Check playback, audio, dropped frames, and YouTube’s stream-health feedback. YouTube specifically advises testing before going live. YouTube encoder settings
- Test the failure cases. Simulate a restart and, where safe, a brief network interruption. Verify what must be done to restore the broadcast and whether the stream resumes as intended.
- Monitor upload capacity. YouTube recommends about 20% spare upload bandwidth. Test at the streaming location and account for other devices using the connection. YouTube streaming tips
Copyright and channel policy still apply
Using a PC, mini PC, or Raspberry Pi alternative does not change YouTube’s rules. Before looping prerecorded material, confirm that you have the rights to the video, music, and other included content, and review YouTube’s current policies for live streams and monetization. Repeated or reused material can raise separate channel-policy questions; technical ability to keep a stream running does not establish that its content is permitted or eligible for monetization.

Common problems and what to check
- YouTube reports unstable stream health: Check actual upload capacity, leave the recommended headroom, and inspect for competing network use or connection drops. Test wired networking or a backup connection if available. YouTube streaming tips
- The PC struggles with encoding: Confirm the selected encoder, resolution, frame rate, and scene complexity. Simplify the scene or lower the output workload, then test again; a processor category does not guarantee a given configuration will work.
- The broadcast disconnects after a power or network event: Check the PC’s restart behavior, OBS startup procedure, and stream-key setup. Test recovery before relying on unattended operation.
- A camera or console does not appear in OBS: Verify that the workflow needs HDMI capture, then check capture-device support in the operating system and OBS. A capture card is unnecessary for a stream made only from a prepared video file.
- The system runs hot or becomes unstable over time: Reassess airflow, cooling, and the exact unit’s sustained-load behavior. No multi-day comparative test establishes a safe operating result for the N100 category.
