The most dependable Revenant build in ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN is a flexible Faith-focused setup with Vigor prioritized for survival. Use available seals and Faith-scaling incantations to deal damage yourself, while treating family spirits and Necromancy ghosts as support—not as a substitute for your own contribution. Weapon and relic drops vary from run to run, so build around what the expedition provides.
How should you build Revenant?
Start with Faith and Vigor: Faith supports a direct-damage casting approach, while Vigor helps you stay in the fight. Favor seals and Faith-scaling incantations when they appear, but do not assume a particular weapon or relic will be available. Nightreign randomizes both, and relic effects can alter a starting weapon’s skill or add a status effect.

This is a recommended baseline, not a tested ranking or a fixed loadout. Its practical advantage is flexibility: you can still contribute damage when summons fail to connect, while retaining Revenant’s team-support tools.
What Revenant’s abilities do for the build
Summon Spirit
Summon one of Revenant’s fallen family members when an extra body can draw attention or give allies room to act. Bandai Namco cautions that family spirits may struggle with boss aggression, so use them primarily for distraction rather than counting on them for reliable boss damage. Necromancy
Necromancy temporarily raises enemy ghosts to fight for you. Revenant, family spirits, or temporary summons can trigger ghosts by landing finishing blows. The official gameplay tips state that there is no specified upper limit to the number of ghosts, and that each lasts approximately one minute. Treat these as temporary pressure, not a lasting army. Immortal March
Use Immortal March during a dangerous team moment: it makes Revenant and nearby allies immortal, can revive near-death allies, and turns active family spirits into immortal warriors. It therefore has both a recovery role and a way to empower spirits already on the field. Bandai Namco’s character overview describes the ability.
How to play Revenant through an expedition
- Use Summon Spirit for space. Call a family member when it can distract an enemy or relieve pressure on the team; do not make your damage plan depend on a summon winning a boss fight.
- Look for finishing blows. When Revenant or an active summon can finish an enemy, doing so may trigger Necromancy and add a temporary ghost to the fight.
- Save Immortal March for meaningful team value. Its protection, near-death ally revival, and effect on active family spirits make it most useful when the team is in danger and spirits are present.
- Manage FP deliberately. Revenant has no built-in FP recovery. Conserve casts and use suitable FP-restoring items or relics if the expedition offers them.
- Adapt to the run’s drops. Choose available weapons, incantations, and relics rather than forcing a predetermined kit. Relics can change a starting weapon skill or add a status effect; stronger expedition performance yields more relics and a better chance at a Grand relic. Summon support or direct Faith damage?
These approaches are complementary, but they carry different risks. A summon-support focus can distract enemies and add temporary pressure; its value depends on spirit behavior, duration, and relic support. Direct Faith damage is more dependable when spirits cannot connect, but consumes FP and depends on which incantations and equipment you find.

Patch changes that affect Revenant
Bandai Namco’s version 1.03.2 notes, dated January 15, 2026, increased the attack power of special attacks by summoned spirits when Immortal March is activated while spirits are active. The patch also improved Summon Spirit attack power and damage negation in Deep of Night according to expedition depth, and fixed a bug that allowed attacks to stagger Revenant’s spirits inside Guardian’s Wings of Salvation defensive area.
